Anyone had CANDIDA??? I was put on a YEAST free diet..
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone out there has seen a doctor/ FS /or naturapath while TTC and been told that they have an intolerance to yeast?
i have been told this in the last few weeks and was put on a special yeast free diet and given lots of natural tablets for the next month. he also said that i am high in estrogen and low in progesterone. i have also read that women who have endo and infertility are prone to having an intolerence for yeast.....and i have both!
I have been TTC for 2.5yr with #2. I have seen everyone under the sun as to the cause . I know something is wrong as i have had 4x failed IUI's, 1 failed IVF and 1 failed FET. my FS just keeps trying to get my pregnant but i dont think he is looking for the reasons of why i am not. he never does any blood tests to check on estrogen or progesterone during any of the precedures.
so please help me if anyone out there knows anything about this topic.
i feel better and am less bloated so maybe it will work?
like many women out there i am willing to give everything a go to get the end result.
thanks
bye
Yes, I was seeing an Acupuncturist/Kinesiologist after ttc #1 for 6mths with no luck. She soon discovered that I had partially blocked tubes through doing Kinesiology (she is a womans health & fertility specialist) and told me to go on a yeast/fungal free diet to unblock my tubes. My tubes were supposedly blocked with a fungal damp fluid (i know sounds gross hey) No vegemite, bread, yeast, soy sauce etc.... anything with yeast in it!! I followed it strictly and 8 weeks later was pregnant....... I was having way too much yeast in my diet before hand which wasnt helping the spermies get thru where they needed to go!! I've also been prone to get Candida/thrush infections over the yrs.
I'm now 39wks pg and still eat yeast in my diet but try to minimise it.... but next time we try to conceive #2 i will be avoiding it!
I wish you all the very best and hope you have your BFP VERY soon
Hi Kittycat,
Sorry to hear you have not yet had success for #2. I too was diagnosed with candida and went on a very strict diet to rid myself of this. This was after approximately 1.5 years of TTC. I continued to try naturally for another 1 or so years keeping to a good diet, then went on to IVF for the past year or so. I think there is value in getting rid of it and making sure your diet is good and the foods you eat are not intolerable to your body, but for me it wasn't the solution to my infertility. I am still looking for that answer.
I pray that it is yours however and wish you all the best. xx
Thanks Renstar and Baby dreamtime for your answers.
I am hoping like millions of women that this could be the answer to my problems. But i know it may only be part of the problem as well.
I have had endo removed in 2004, as well as polyps and then a cycst on my ovary in 2007. i fell pregant with my daughter naturally in 2004 only 3 months after having the eno removed.
the interesting thing i read lately is that women with endo are more likely to have this yeast problem and it can cause infertility. i have done so much research on endo and never read this in any of the books.
my naturapath has put my on a few different drugs and i am hoping this helps as well. he told me what i thought all along, the fact that i am low in progesterone and high in estrogen.
anyway i am encouraged by your story Renstar and wish you a wonderful birth for your
1st baby.
I hope you have success soon with #1 Baby Dreamtime and goodluck with your next fet. i might see you in the LTTCTWW forum as i have 2 embies waiting!!!
