Hi everyone- Hope everyone is well.

I do everything as normal but maybe I shouldn't. I have had so many m/c the horror of it is too much for me at times, but I try to carry on as normal. Saw my specialist today and am booked in for a lap on 5 July unless there are cancellations or I'm pg. The bad news is my lovely specialist who I've seen for 6 years is going on leave for a year and may not come back...
Any news Satya? I've started to not test until I'm a few days over now because the low I felt from a BFN was too great and it was costing too much!!

    Hi everyone,

My AF arrived today after a couple of days of spotting. It's pretty light but I'm sure it's AF not an implantation bleed as the urinary frequency has now gone away. I'm seeing a gyno this week who has an interest in infertility so I'm hoping he can offer me some help.

    Hi everyone-
Satya-Sorry AF arrived, that's so disappointing. Who is your Gynae? Mine is going on 1 year's leave and may not return... I really like and trust him so much.
Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. I can imagine how nervous you would be for IVF, Lissie.

Jo - I'm in Melbourne so my gyno wouldn't be of any use to you. It's my first appointment with him today (to be honest I don't even know if it is a male or female doctor, I'm just assuming) so it will be interesting to see if he's a man of action or more of a wait and see doctor. I need someone who wants to take action of some sort. I'm too old now to wait and see.

Bettyboop - My AF was a really short one - two light days with spotting on either side. I'm glad to have it gone. I'm still having to get up to go to the loo during the night so I'm blaming that on the cold weather of late. My temp has stayed low so I know there's no way its an implant bleed. This cycle seemed so positive but I guess the symptoms must have been caused by my cold and nothing else. Oh well, maybe I'll have better luck this cycle. Good luck with Oing.

Well, bettyboop, I got some action. Way more than I expected to get actually. I am being put on a waiting list for a lap & a hysteroscopy. I took the ultrasound results that my GP had sent me for with me and he took one look at them and said that if I do have a fibroid (the u/s showed a possible one) that they will have to get rid of it or I will just keep miscarrying. He thinks that this is a possible reason for my recent one. He then said after the procedures are done I should go on IVF. I'm not keen to do that as I fell pg recently without any assistance and if a fibroid turns out to be the problem then maybe I would have some luck naturally. Anyway, I think I'm in shock, I just expected either a script for something or no action at all, but I guess I can't complain as I got what I wanted.

Hi girls, sorry Satya about Af, we don't want it then we want it the poor thing is confused.Good luck with all your tests, not that I no much about IVF but I reckon grab the chance. On sunrise this morning they are talking about a drug that is being developed that will slow the ageing process of the eggs. So a woman in her 20's will take it and when she is in her 40's she will have her 20 something year old eggs waiting for her.Plus other benefits like delayed menopause, good bone density etc. Won't be around for 10 years after all the testing but hopefully it may help my daughters. Don't want to bum anyone out, but they also talked about at this age we lose 2 eggs an hour how much does that suck. Made me want to get into baby making mode, scared the life out of me.
Lissie have you used you BINL sperm before? If not
Betty good luck, I hope you have some success, I hope we both do.
Astrajoey, hope you find someone equally as good or even better,it's amazing how many caring Doc's are out there. I think when they get to that level they really want to be there, it's more than just the money for most of them. Anyway Talk soon Pam.

    Hi Pam,
No i have not used BINL sperm before so i am just hoping to hell its a good batch!
My poor DH sperm is of very bad quality after having a vasc 15yrs ago, even when we 1st went to FS we were told that a reversal would not work after all this time, usually they say a reversal within the first 5-7yrs is mostly a success but after that forget it so thats why i have no choice but ivf. We have tried with my DH sperm and this is the first time we have tried donor sperm - basically DH sperm swims backwards and has two heads!!only joking but really bad quality am just amazed that we always got fertilized eggs and blasties. Iam starting to feel a little desperate but i know its all out of my hands and i have no control over what will happen - all i want is just one healthy happy little baby thats all.

    Hi all,

Pam-that's scary about the egg loss
Betty- what will your Dr look into at your appointment?
Satya, you got action all right but there's no time to wait. Tell the Dr if you want to ttc naturally but have the tests done to see what's going on. Twice I was booked in for a laparoscopy and at the last minute had a pg test and BFP, so cancelled the lap. I'm hoping simply being booked in for a lap again July 5 will give me another BFP.
Lissie, I'm reading a very positive book I ordered from a website called something like How to get Pg at 40 plus etc. written by a woman in our situation.

I am due for AF on Saturday and yesterday I got strong period pains and a temperature drop on my chart and I thought AF is going to be early and I'll have to have the laparoscopy. Had a short session of AP and the pain subsided. This morning though, more pain but a temperature rise on my chart... I don't know what's happening and I hate the 2 ww!! I'll ask my Dr who he recommends, I could continue to see him at his new location where he's working during his year of leave but don't like the hospital he would use. I'll look into it more. He'll tell me who to see, we have a great relationship after 6 years plus.

Hope this is our month for at least one BFP. Let's prove the ageists wrong

    Goodmorning girls,
Satya - hows the enquiries going with the ivf? have you found a clinic yet?
Pam - i was shocked about eggs loss at our age -frightening!
Betty - not long for that apt now -all this waiting around is annoying isn't it.
Jo - good luck with the new doctor i hope you like him/her as much as your old doctor.
Well im off the pill now and just waiting for AF which usually only takes me 2-3 days so she should appear by Sunday then i have a blood test immediately then straight into the lovely injections - oh how i just love being full of hormones - NOT - but its what has to be done to get the end result. So now we just sit and wait to see how things pan out i guess but am feeling positive before i even start so thats good. Oh i hope we all get a BFP within the next month or so - fingers crossed for all of us.

    Hi everyone,

I am still waiting for AF and feeling every twinge. Holding back from HPT...
