I have done 2 other long cycles with synarel. The first was cancelled due to me not producing enough follicles. In the second, I again did not produce enough but they went ahead anyway and I got 2 fertilised embryos. It became a chemical pregnancy.
I changed docs - my other one was terrible. New one is great. I think she put me on quite a low dose of Org.. as she suspected the synarel was stifling me too much .... seems the dose must have been too low.
Will have more answers next Tues. Are you currently on ivf??

I must be that the orgalutran dose was too low. How many follies did you have this time? I guess sometimes it is a balance to get all the doses right, especially with changing Drs and protocols. I have done a total of 10 assisted conception cycles, my first cycle was a pill down reg, cancelled before EPU due to overstim, my second I still overstimed but went to EPU only, I ended up with 15 embies but they were all slow growing and fragmented. I did 3 x HRT FETs with these. Subsequently I did another 2 more stim cycles then changed to a new FS. I tested + for MTHFR which changed my treatment (low dose aspirin and Clexane). I also changed to antagonist cycles, my first my dose was too low so I was converted to an IUI (so I understand when things don't go to plan), the second antagonist I got my first ever BFP. A total of 7 ETs to get there. I am just waiting for my viability scan to check all is ok, so am still loitering in these threads.
I am sure you won't take near as long as me, and hope now that your new FS understands how your body behaves, you will get your BFP right away. xx

I don't know WHY it happened, but the exact same thing happened to me as well. The first IVF cycle was a down reg (didn't use orgal) and went quite well apart form not falling PG - 2nd cycle the tried the protocol with orgal, and I O'd days before I was supposed to (I normally have short cycles). So it just doesn't work for some people. They will change your protocol accordingly. Hang in there, I got PG the next cycle when once again everything went wrong - they cancelled the IVF, but tried an IUI as a last resort and miraculously it worked.

Wow! You have been through so much. Am so so happy for you that you have a positive result this time. Fingers crossed for you. Please let me know how you go. Your comments have made me feel better about the whole situation and I am getting the idea that no matter how straight forward things seem to be heading into the IVF game, just when you think you have all bases covered you are thrown yet another curve ball!

Neptune - Isn't that amazing that the IUI worked!! They wouldn't do IUI following the procedure for us cause Hub's sample was only good for ICSI. Am so glad it worked for you - and it shows me that you just never know hey????!#$T%#$^%#!!! How far along are you?
