Can a regular gp prescribe Clomid?

hi girls,
just wondering if any of you know why agnus castus or vitex-can do more harm than good sometimes. just want to know the pros and cons before i start taking anything. If i go and see my obgyn do you think that he would be likely or unlikely(given my age 36) to prescribe it given we've only been trying about 8 months,or would he want to do something else first. i had dye studies done back in 95 and everything was ok then, but maybe a blockage can occur? Any idea how much clomid is?
