    Clomid first timer.....

    Hello everyone,

Well today i am starting clomid for the first time. I am currently CD5 (this was the earliest appointment i could get and i have irregular cycles, happened to get AF on sat) but my gyno says it is fine to take clomid days 5-9 instead of 2-6.

    How will i know when i am ovulating? i can't use OPK's (they are always positive), i don't get EWCM, and i don't temp.....yet.

Does clomid regulate your cycles? If so, is it straight away?

Just wondering what i should be prepared for, any help would be great

    Hi Tasha,
You can join the girls in our LT TTC & taking Clomid/Metformin chatter thread.
    All the best.

    Marcellus,

Is that thread for everyone on clomid, or just LTTTC? We start clomid in December and I have no idea what thread to join then, because we haven't been TTC#2 long. It did take us 12 months to TTC#1 and I'm mentally preparing myself for a similar journey (and somewhat apprehensive about exposing my raw emotions to the frequent success in the 1-6 thread, no offense to any of the ladies in there!)

    Thanks,
    PX

Hi Tasha, DS is a clomid bub

I took it on days 2-6, on a natural cycle I would O around day 20 and on clomid I o'd around day 18. So it was just a little earlier than normal. I was able to temp tho which made it easier. Good luck.

    Thanks AJC,

I hope day 5-9 will work. If not theres always next cycle. My cycles used to be 90+ days now they are around 40 so at least i wont have to wait as long. I have provera but i don't want to use it. Maybe i will start temping?
    Anyway thanks again

That thread is for anyone using clomid - it's often the case with No.2 that we don't wait so long to go back for treatment.
