clomid and late ovulation

hi all,

i am new here but i have a question for you, we conceived our DD on clomid 2 years ago and im on my 3rd cycle of clomid now ttc number 2, i don't think i have ovulated on the previous 2 cycles but i do have a high prolactin level which im now taking medication for so hopefully that will help (i needed that for DD too) anyway my question is.....is it at all possible to ovulate on day 30 on the cycle after taking clomid day 2-5 (i didn't ovulate when i was "supposed" to around day 14) or is it possible this is a "natural" ovulation, i have had positive opt for the last 4 days and my temp dropped this morning, i just don't know whether i could be in the 2ww or not. has anyone gotten pregnant ovulating this late in the cycle ?

I ovulated on day 30 of my first cycle on clomid, unfortunatly I had already written that cycle off and didn't BD because I thought it was way too late and I wasn't going to ovulate at all, so it didn't result in pregnancy. I took Clomid on days 5-9 however, so may be a little different. It was also a very low dose...only 25mg...but everyones body responds differently of course.
If you had a +opk then it is entirely likely that you are in the 2WW. Fingers crossed for you.

I ovulated late each cycle of clomid - but usually around CD25 so i'm sure it is possible that you could have O'd on CD30. The other thing to check though is a HPT. OPKs will show up a +ve result before a HPT in most cases. Could you be pregnant??

C1nders thats good to hear you ovulated so late in the cycle (but bad news for you that you didn't bd), i just couldn't believe it would be true but when i started getting ewcm i started doing opt and got the positives, lucky for us we dtd the last 2 nights so hopefully we are in with a chance this month !

LG thanks also for your reply, i thought about the possibility i might be pregnant but did i hpt today which was negative so it must be ovulation ! i had written off this cycle so maybe there is still hope
