    Conception after Laparoscopy

Hi there. I am booked in for a laparoscopy to remove a polyp that seems to be causing a blockage in my left tube. I heard that you can fall pregnant with one tube but it taked longer & perhaps ive only been o'ing thru my left side? FS will also remove anything else if he finds it but that's all that could be seen on the scan. I am praying this is the only thing preventing conception, & once fixed I hope we can conceive naturally. I am very 'text book' with everything else...does anyone have any positive outcomes of conceiving after a laparoscopy?

    Hi Angela

I had a laparoscopy back in February and fell pregnant straight away. Sadly we last that one but it had nothing to do with the lap.

You are more fertile after having a lap for up to 6 months I believe. So chances are very good for you. Good Luck.

I had a lap done 4 years ago for PCOS.... not quite the same as you, but I fell pregnant accidently (not knowing I would be more fertile afterwards, I had the Lap to alleviate terrible pain) about a year later. Now I'm totally infertile again (No monthlies even with Metformin) so I am having another lap, hoping it does the job.

    Good Luck!!!!
