HI everyone,

This is my first ever post but I was just hoping for some feedback!

I have been TTC for 3.5 years. I'm 34, healthy and have unexplained infertility - there is nothing wrong with my husband or I).

I have spent an absolute fortune over the last 18 months with my specialist doing medication, IUI's and every test imaginable.

I finally decided to get a second opinion a few days ago and went to a different FS. The first question he asked me was had i had a laparoscopy? I had not and it has never been mentioned before. he told me that endometriosis is the number 1 reason for unexplained infertility in young women and can only be diagnosed with a laparoscopy.

I just cannot understand why this would not have been mentioned to me before? I have the operation scheduled for next week and if it comes back positive I am going to be furious! The last 18 months could have been avoided.

Has anyone got any light to shed on this? I'm quite cranky about the whole thing.
