clomid is it ok to take if foil is broken

    Hey

    just a quick question

i have some clomid tablets that arent in there foil wrapper, i had to take 25mg so i had to break them in half, and now i am left with the other half of the tablets and just wondering if its still ok if i take the ones that arent in the foil iukwim??

I placed them in the box when i was doing my last round of clomid and forgot all about them till now and was wondering if it would still be ok for me to take them??

and also does it make much difference if there are only 4 of them, i usually take 5 but one of the tablets broke into million of little pieces so now i only have 4, will this make much of a difference??

i am not due to see my fs for a few mths so therefore he has no idea i will be taking them, i just hate sitting here not doing anything watching all these's cycles go bye, so thats why i thought i would give clomid a try while i wait, it would be so great if i could ring him next mth and tell him that he is not needed cos i am pregnant.

i would think if it's a while since you opened them it wouldn't be wise to use them. there's no telling what the impact of the moisture in the air has been on them. it may be non existent, but it may be that the addtion of moisture my alter some of the key chemicals and, in turn, the process when you take them

from what i understand, GP's are now able to prescribe clomid, so maybe go visit your GP and get a new script...

    thanks for the reply bg

if i get a script from gp, would he have to keep track of the cycle?? like ultrasounds and stuff?? was hoping to avoid all that and have a go doing it solo iukwim???

its been a few mths that there been sitting in the box so it probably wont be any good hey???

    bugger bugger bugger

anyone have any clomid that there not using he he he he he

thanks again for your reply bg

might just have to give gp a call tomorrow?? hey do you think my ivf doc would give me a script and let me do an untracked cycle??? probably not hey??

i would assume your gp may ask for a day 21 progesteron test just to check if you've o'd or not - but that's not too invasive - and most pathology places will bulk bill for that test too - so it's only a mild inconvenience - and if it gives you the confirmation that you've ovulated...
