    Endo and clomid

    Hi girls,

Im kinda new to these forums and just wanted to ask your advice/opinions since you all sound like you have lots of knowlege and experience.

We TTC for 2 years to get pregnant with DS. Had lap Sept 04 and discovered Endo (his notes say "Minimal endometriosis involving the broad ligaments and the uterosacral ligaments were ablated. Dye passed readily thru the tubes, ovaries healthy in appearance". Dr wasnt very good and didnt really explain to me what this all meant, but anyway. Still wasnt pregnant, so Feb 05 started taking clomid. I got pregnant on my second cycle.
After i had bub, dr told me that when we TTC again, if nothing happens in 6 months, i will put u on clomid again. Anyway he is no longer in practice, so i told my GP about this and he said he can put me on clomid.
So i started the clomid (50mg) this cycle, im on CD19 and i still havent o'd. This cycle has been really stuffed around. My charts are normally very straight forward, o around CD 21 with lots of EWCM. This one ive had little bits of EWCM one day (from about CD10) and then dry the next. Its all over the place!
Is there any point in taking the clomid without having another lap done?

Is it usual for clomid to be prescribed in cases of endo? And has anyone else had success with it?

Sorry for the long rant, but just wanted to give a bit of background info.

Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hi kritso,

Don't know if i can be much help as i haven't taken clomid - my fs gave me a prescription for it, but i haven't tried it yet. I had a lap a couple of months ago, and had 2 very small spots of endo which were removed. I think i was prescibed the clomid because it was "the next thing" so to speak, not because of the endo particularly.

also, you say you usually o on cd 21? if so then you still have a few days? did it bring your o forward a lot last time? A lot of people talk about clomid drying up cm, so this would explain less ewcm.

best of luck for getting pg really soon!!

I'm not aware of it being used just because you have Endo, but to aid ovulation in woman who would not normally ovulate on their own. If you normally ovulate around day 21, then you'd not be far off now anyway......

Clomid does change your CM, are you using ovulation test kits as well?? I find these more accurate while taking Clomid than just relying on other changes.

    Good luck!
