thanks everyone - I really thought it was just me!
I might talk to them to go easy on the anesthesia... and I guess look forward to a long afternoon nap
I had my pick-up today and asked a lot of questions. I told the anesthesiologist about my experience the last time (exhausted, slept for 4-5 hours after). He told me that this is not "normal" per se but probably has a lot to do with the "****tail" chosen by the particular anesthesiologist and he took a guess as to what they probably used that made me so tired and remarked that he does not use the same thing. This must be true as I felt so much better after today's than last time...and I was almost awake as I was rolled out of the operating theatre. I doubt that I'll have any say over what is used if I have to go through more pick-ups, but I thought it was interesting to see that it probably has more to do with the drugs chosen by the anesthesiologist than the procedure itself.
I didn't sleep this time whereas last time I couldn't wait to get into bed. But they tell you take it easy - so I did - it was nice to have a weekday at home with an excuse to lie around!
