Just a quick question: I am currently on Puregon 75u and will be having my first BT and scan on Friday, what estrogen levels are good and how many follicles do you want and how big?
I've completed 3 cycles of oi-iui. I was on gonal-f, 75 for each cycle. Our clinic waits until BT shows levels are over 800 before doing an u/s. During our u/s, nurses were looking for one dominant follie (which they classed as over 15mm), maximum of 2 dominant follies. If we had more than 2 dominant follies, our cycle was to be cancelled - clinic protocol. My 1st cycle, 1 follie was 21, another was 14 which was ok for the iui to go ahead. 2nd time round, 1 follie was at 17. 3rd time round, one follie was at 15 but I had lots of others at about 9-10 which they were worried would grow quickly if we did another day of injections and they didn't trigger the 15mm follie.
our clinic uses different protocols depending on the type of cycle you're going through. for me, i don't actually need a BT - i just go in for a day seven u/s - and we trigger when dominant follie would be around 18mm. our clinic is a little more lenient, and will allow you to have up to 3 dominant follicles and still trigger - so it really is dependent on the clinic you use. i think ideally they prefer you to have 2 or less...
