    Follicle question

Stupid me has been googling . I have been on 50mg of clomid CD2-6.

Yesterday (CD12) we had a scan and found three mature 20mm+ follicles. The FS refused to trigger me (understandable) and said we go ahead at our own risk. Fair enough.

So I went off to google to see what the real odds of multiples were, only to discover that without the trigger shot it is unlikely that any of them would rupture.

    Is this the case?

From other things I have read, women regularly ovulate 2+ eggs on clomid without triggers all the time.

I am so confused... is this cycle a dud because we haven't triggered, is it a waste of emotional effort to continue trying?

    Thanks

    xoxo

    Firstly *hugs*

It is a little hard to know if you will ovulate or not without the trigger shot. When I was on clomid I never had a trigger shot, but then I also never ovulated and had to move onto other options.

I think it will really depend on your body? What is the reason that you are on the clomid? Do you normally ovulate?

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help - perhaps someone else can offer better advice.

i never had the trigger shot on clomid
    it wasn't even discussed
it will just rely more on your own bodies ability to have that surge to cause ovulation kwim?

Thanks, he has us on clomid mostly because of PCOS, and he wanted to try 3 cycles of it before we moved onto something more hardcore. I used to ovulate just fine, well I thought I did, and then we did an ultrasound and found a whole bunch of unruptured cysts (follicles). So I wonder if I am adding to the collection?

Not feeling too sorry for myself, we will try, and move on next cycle if it is not successful.

    TY for your help.
