Hi Everyone ,

but
there are a lot of believers out there..
Thanks dragonfly and minniemouse , i Have heard alot of mixed reports , usually good things but i guess it doesn't work for everyone . ah well its worth having a go .
thanks again any other suggestions that may help through this tough time of TTC would be appreciated . xxx
Yep I tried them after two miscarriages I was willing to try anything. I had no trouble getting pregnant that happened easily I just could not get them to stay, first loss was 4 weeks second loss we thought we were 17 weeks but bubs had died between 12-14 weeks. I dont know for sure if it was their herbs that helped me but I am due to have my first baby anyday. I think it cannot hurt to give it a go. Next time though I will just go see a chinese herbalist close the home because I think its the same thing really.
Good Luck think positive and I hope it all works out for you.
I have been mostly on and sometimes off Sharkey's herbs for over 2 years now. I don't know that they will be the one thing that will make you concieve, but I do believe that they assist your body in balancing your cycles, hormones etc and that they do have an impact on your body, cells etc to put you in the best possible position to concieve. Obviously if you have a medical condition like endo or pcos, they only effect they will have is to improve your health, and they can't overcome these issues. I recently met with Stacey Roberts for a review, for the first time (I had previously been with other consultants there), if you can get her, I would highly recommend it, as I got more out of my first appointment with her than I did out of all my time with the others. She is just the most experienced. I had actually almost cancelled my appointment, I was prescribed progesteron drops by a GP in a recent visit as I have a LPD, and I was feeling a bit *****y to Sharkeys for never having suggested I try progestrone supplemention in all the time I was TTC naturally. After talking to Stacey I realise that they herbs are trying to get your body to produce all the right hormones at the right time. For me whilst progesteron drops could have helped me, I understand that that is not something they really consider as supplementation would reduce your own body's need to produce it on its own. If this makes sense. So I guess I can't blame them.
So, sorry for the long post, but I truely believe that herbs and assisted conception can play a part together.
I too tried to concieve naturally for 3 years before going straight to IVF. Not sure what your history is but I would suggest looking at AC options also. My believe is that at least with AC you have better chances.
I used Sharkey's after TTC for about a year. I conceived a year later. The thing that makes me believe the herbs are helpful, is the temp chart. I could see month by month how my temps were changing to make my cycle more balanced.
I've always been a believer in natural remedies, but I admit sometimes it's hard to tell if they have made a difference, especially since they are usually long-term solutions - no quick fixes. But the balancing of your cycle, as indicated by temp, is visual proof (IMHO) that the herbs are having an effect.
I'd recommend them anyday.
They didn't really help me and I spent a lot of $ on them, but they did make me feel healthy, I think. I am naturally pregnant after finally being diagnosed with Hashimotos and having that addressed.
I agree with other ladies have said. They will definitely help you with the balance of your hormones and put your body in a better condition to conceive. I have had Shakey for about 6 months and can see the improvment from the temp chart, but that didn't help me to get pregnant.
I guess it also depends on different individual and medical conditions etc, it won't hurt if you have the luxury of time and money, but it doesn't always work...
