Hey Aqua

I definatly wouldn't give up hope, i mean I understand that the whole process is emotionally draining as well as physically and financially and of course you should stop when you don't feel your body can take it any more, but if you are thinking of not going on simply because you don't feel it will work then i say persevere, i have done IVF with a lady who was on her 6th cycle and it worked just out of no where so don't ever give up faith and you will find, just as i have, that this site is great support for you when next attempting a cycle, to be surrounded by others who know exactly what you are going through has helped me massively this go around. Personally i have done IVF once and ICSI once both with dismal results (first time no eggs fertilised, second time only one survived and it didn't take) we are currently on our third go of ICSI and fingers crossed all will go well.... I too wonder if i will ever have the stamina to continue, but after each failed attempt i just sort of keep going thinking it has to happen one day! It sounds as if you are suffering from OHSS?? to be in so much pain before and after indicates a real sensitivity to the drugs and the way your body processes them, i am not sure what more the doctors can do but it seems like torture for your mental wellbeing to continue with each treatment cycle knowing what is about to happen. Perhaps speak to a Councillor and have another chat to your FS and see if there is any more that can be done but above all don't give up hope and when ever you feel like no one understands what you are going through then log on and surround yourselves with the lovely women and men that frequent this site and are always online to offer support and encouragement.... good luck sweets.
