HSG scan today

Have you had one, what's normal?

I thought I was prepared and psyched myself up for the worse. I took strong pain killers and managed well. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might be.
However, I wasn't prepared to have some bleeding (light, but red mixed with some CM).
I was just wondering for those that have had it done before, is this normal?

By the way, the good news is that my one remaining tube (left one went with the ectopic) is unblocked!!!!

andy: No positive comments from me, Im afraid ! I had one, and I would never, ever, have one again. I hated every second of it . My FS does not even believe the results she received from it.

Hi there,

I had a HSG done late last year.

Yes it wasnt a very nice experience but I found it to be not all that bad.

I had a female doctor and a nurse to perform the procedure. The pain just felt like period pain to me, but it only lasted as long as the procedure went for which was about 10 mins maximum. The rest of the time was just preparation time. I had very light bleeding for about 3 days after it.

All in all it all went via the textbook with a result I could see instantaneously up on the screen.

glad you got some good news today hunny.
but yeh i had a fair bit of pain after mine as well and some bleeding i think its all the norm but try and keep up with the panadole

Ps hon, forgot to add, I am glad your remaining right tube showed up clear, That is, in the end, all you need to hear, after a procedure, I had light bleeding as well ...I best of luck ttc
