Just wanted to wish you the best of luck. I know I was really scared before my lap. If you've had a GA before and have had any problems pulling up from it let the doctors know so they can make some adjustments to the anaesthetic. If you are one of the unlucky ones and feel sick when you wake up let them know immediately as there are several pain relief options and ways they can reduce nausea. Once I got home I no longer needed pain relief but they gave me some just in case.

I didn't have shoulder pain, so not everyone gets that. I did have a sore back, I think it was because my stomach muscles couldn't support my back. Use heat packs if you feel sore. I found sleeping a bit uncomfy because of the stitches and sore back. I felt soooo much better when they took the stitches out.

I think I had about 5 days off work, but each day I was moving around more and more.
