laparoscopy and ttc timeline

Hi all,

I am supposed to have a laparoscopy in two weeks time if I am not UTD. Does anyone know if you can ttc in the same cycle?
I think I will be having the procedure on either CD 3-4-5-6. My acupuncturist said a lot of women get pregnant straight after their lap! I wonder if that means literally straight after or do you need to rest for that month?

any ideas?

I was advised to rest for one cycle and then try. We conceived on that first go after trying for 12 months prior to the lap.

i fell pregnant straight away, went to my six week check up and started to miscarry i have no idea wether or not it was related to falling pregnant to close after the lap or not?? but 7 mths later fell pregnant with my gorgeous little girl who is now 5

I had my second lap in November last year, ttc with clomid that same cycle (lap was on cd9, ovulated cd15) but did not fall prg. My FS was happy for me to try as long as I felt well enough too.

Hi Sassba,

I had a lap on cycle day 7, O'ed cycle day 23 and as I was feeling ok we decided to try straight away rather than wait but AF arrived last week anyways. In hind sight prob waiting a cycle would've been better just to let your insides heal properly.

I had a lap and dye on August 5th...
I then went on holiday and have come back to find Im pregnant... straight after a lap...
I am hoping this will be it for me.

I had a lap (tube flushing, dye insertion and d&c) not long ago. I was bleeding for 4-5 days after the lap. Then 21 days later AF showed (we didn't try because I was too sore still) and then we fell the next cycle.

My obs told me that the curette he was doing was not like the usual one, and it was fine to TTC straight away.
