    Laproscopy affect on ovulation timing?

    Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone knows if having a laproscopy affects the timing of your next ovulation?

I have my lap on 21 January and should ovulate around 29 Jan - 1 Feb. I'm wondering if having the op will delay my ovulation???

Normally I wouldn't be too concerned but DH is travelling to NZ when I should be ovulating. I don't know whether I should insist I tag along as I've been told that laps increase your chances of conceiving for 2 cycles afterwards.

Any advice / hearing about past experiences would be great!

when i have had a lap i also have a D&C which will change my cycle, (depending on what dates are at that time) i once had a lap while on af so it didnt make much difference, its all about how the lining builds up.

    I should be on day 9 - 11 when I have the lap. I'm having a D & C and hysterscopy as well.

If you are having a D&C it will be almost like going back to day one, you will likely bleed a bit for a few days....your lining will be stripped away so not a good time to conceive....it is the next cycle after that you want to be aiming for hun......

Thanks Melbel, that info was really helpful. Looks like my DH can go to NZ in the clear!
