Yay Emma. You'll be a pro at the injections in no time. :)
Mrs Mac. Your patience is amazing. Hoping that the clinic might be able to offer you some ther options to move forward apart from just waiting.
Blossum. Good luck for you Bt tomorrow. Hope those hcg numbers are rising nicely for you.
Mrs P. Woo hoo. It's almost transfer time. Good luck for tomorrow. Hope it goes smoothly. Will stalk you in the TWW.
ReeRee. How are you doing? Have they set a date for your FET yer?
Planetsasha. Hope your follies are developing nicely and that you get to have EPU soon.
My turn and me4ever. Hoping you are staying sane. Why does waiting have to take soooo long.
Andie and Miss B. Almost the end of the TWW for you both. Crossing everything for some more magical BFPs.
AFM - have my first BT and US for this cycle tomorrow. Hoping that things are going as planned and that we will be looking at transfer in the middle to end of next week.Is anyone else on a medicated or programmed FET? I'm taking ethinyloestradiol tablets. Been feeling really naseous and depressed (but the feeling down could be related to other recent loss / life stuff). Just wondering if these symptoms are normal. Anyone taking or have taken this med before?
-
Jane - great job taking over the list, I hope it brings you luck. Thanks for the good luck wishes. I'm also doing a medicated FET, using progynova (same thing as you). They do usually make me feel a bit out of sorts too. Especially the first few days of taking them, as your body gets used to having it. Good luck for your US tomorrow!
Miss B & Andie - I will be joining you in the TWW tomorrow but sounds like you two will be out of there soon! Hoping it's BFPs all round.
N2L - good luck for your FS appt on Weds. Have you made a decision or are you waiting til your appt? Hugs.
AFM - getting psyched up for transfer tomorrow. I need to work on my stress levels as I am sure that has an effect!!
-
emma - good job on your jab, you're making some of us look bad... i think i might have to try and be brave and do my own jabs next stim...
mrs p - goodluck for transfer tomorrow!
jane - im doing a medicated fet this cycle, first one. i did find that i was more teary & nauseous after taking them too. like mrs p said though, the first few days were the worst and then eased off. i guess there is always a little bit of ivf sadness waiting to pop up when you least expect it, and maybe these tablets just give it the right opportunity?! hope you are feeling ok & get some good news tomorrow at your BT & US. xx
hi to everyone else. :)
-
:hello: everyone....
good luck to you all for where you are... :)
I found my letter (DH had hidden it) with the details of my protocol - and it doesn't feel too bad, next week I start taking the syneral... and if I keep busy then hopefully it won't take too long....
working very hard after hours on my 2nd job (from home) at the moment, so I'll be stalking, but maybe not posting much.
Hope you are all well and doing okay. FX a few more BFP's are coming our way

Tonights needle hurt more :( further away from the belly button- I was in a rush.
Andie- no way my DH would be entrusted to jab me!
He made a joke on our first appointment about how he would do it- that's stuck with me!
He also works arvo shift- so wouldn't be home.
I'm worried about when he's back at work that DD won't be asleep by 8.30... She might see me do it - reckon she will be scarred for life?
-
Can you do it in the bathroom with the door closed or the loo ? I always hid from DS if he was still awake and he was following me around (he likes cuddles before bed). I didn't want him to see me do it.
-
I can, but there's no locks.
I might invite my friend (neighbor) to entertain her, so I can sneak away.....
I'm bloated :(
My FS told me this would happen.
-
Transfer done - officially PUPO!
Went well. Not sure if I want to be one of those people who look for every sign, but...
Sunday was the one year anniversary of DH's nana passing, and if this embie sticks it would be due on Nana's birthday.
Also, FS that did the transfer was the one that got me pg with DD.
Fingers crossed :)
BT is 25 June.

Good luck!

Hi all.
Congrats Miss P - PUPO.
Emma - hope you find a way to occupy your little one. The bloating is one of the downsides of stim cycles. By the time of pick up you will probably feel quite bloated, heavy and full - but I guess that's the point - youre trying to grow lots of big follies.
My turn - sounds like you are super busy. But glad that your protocol isn't as bad as you first thought. Hoping the itme passes quickly.
AFM - Thanks to all those who responded re the nausea side effects with FET meds. My nurse told me today to break up the tablets and so rather than having all five tablets in the morning have two in the morning and then three at night. Hoping this helps with the nasea (although it doesnt seem as bad a yesterday - perhaps my body is adjusting).
My BT and US went well. Looks like I'll have a FET next wed 20th. Can't wait. I'm depressed and grumpy as all hell at the moment. Hoping I get my bounce back in my step soon or its goona be a loooooong TWW.

Mrs P, congrats on being PUPO! Will be stalking you in the 2WW :)
Jane, GL for your FET on the 20th hun! Will be be sending you super sticky vibes :)
Andie, hopefully your medicated FET cycle won't be so bad this time  GL sweetie!
How is everyone else doing?
Well, I think AF is going to be here tomorrow or Thursday, so jabbing will start towards the end of the week. Feel sort of emotional about it all, my m/c was in February but it still feels like it was yesterday. Gotta get over the fear again. Have been getting lots of acupuncture and taking extra supplements, so I will be interested to know how many (if any :o) eggs I will produce. My gonal-F is upped from 350 to 375, don't know what kind of difference that's gonna make. Last time on 350 puregon I got 4 measely eggs. None were great. Hoping this time with all the extra bits I've been doing, I'll get a better result.
B xx

My turn, Hugs babe. Hope tomorrow is a better day. Feel free to vent away if you need.

Just got the news....
I have been officially 'randomised' to the Acupuncture trial... (rather than the control group) :) something small to smile about....
(seeing I spent most of this morning crying.... such a sad case....... don't worry, I took the day off work.... good thing, I wouldn't have coped at all!)
think I'm starting to feel better.... ....
...just keep putting one foot in front of the other... right...?
-
myturn - so sorry you are having a hard time. LTTTC is so tough and you are allowed to let your guard down and have those days where you fall apart. Just know we are all here whenever you need to 'chat'.
What is the acu trial? Sounds interesting! I am a huge fan of acu, not just for TTC.
-
myturn - now I wish you lived close so I could give you a big . I know exactly how your feeling. I was almost at the end of my rope and I can tell you once you get your BFP its totally worth all the crying, feeling like ****, feeling like a failure and being poked, prodded and on display. If its still in you at all keep trying. Only you and your DH will know if its in you to keep going. Take care, cry, eat chocolate and give your DH lots of cuddles. xxxxxxxxx
-
thanks girls... I always know you guys 'get it'... :)
i don't know the actual details - but I saw it somewhere and just signed up, they give you acupuncture during the FSH phase, and then the day before and after ET (or something like that..) they are trying to determine whether patients who use it have more live births or not..
I've never had acupuncture before (and I know it means I'll have to trapse around to more appointments... ) but I thought anything is worth a shot, and even if it doesn't help.....
..... I am helping humanity........
-
myturn, speaking from my own experience you will love the acu!! I just had a session earlier today to help post-transfer. Also have it leading up to transfer to help prepare the lining and encourage blood flow to the uterus.
Besides the physical side it also helps me de-stress, you will probably find it just makes you feel more chilled out, which can only be a positive :)
While doing my PhD I had weekly acu which helped me cope with the stress and not go insane!! It's also great for insomnia.
-
myturn - big hugs. i wish i had something comforting to say, but i think you hit the nail on the head - you just have to put one foot in front of the other. and repeat until you get there. i read about that acu trial, might look in to again myself, cant hurt right?
emma - hope your jab goes ok tonight.
hi everyone else. xx
-
Acupuncture sounds interesting. Maybe in this cycle doesn't work I'll look into for the next. Anything is worth a try hey.
Sorry, just a quick one from me now, will come back and post properly and update the list after dinner, but just for a silly question.....
FET is scheduled for next Wed 20th. I have a hair appointment for the Sat 23rd. What do you girls think - do I cancel or go ahead with the cut and colour? I don't know what the rules or suggestions are on this. I cancelled my appointment last cycle and still got a BFN - just had more grey hairs to accompany my sadness. Lol.
-
more gentle   for you Myturn. The Acu program sounds great! I'm thinking of getting it this cycle too :) Can only hope that you contribute a positive number to the study!
MissB  yay for a new cycle hun, though I am sorry you're here again so soon. Let's hope the new dosage yields a better haul
Emma yay for jabbing and getting things moving! When is your scan to see how your follies are going?
Jane thanks for taking on the list, hope it brings you some luck very soon! One week til transfer, woohoo :D hope the side effects are lessening by now
MrsP Congrats on your PUPO-ness! :goodluck:
AFM I have been laying low so far, the FET cycle seems so uneventful. Just tablets and pessaries and waiting for transfer, which is on Monday the 18th yay :D Was cruising along, just taking my 6 x progynova, 2 x prednisolone plus a megafol and vitamin D each day. Then adding 1 x oestrogen pessary into the mix each night for the last 5 nights.
From today though I'm also doing 4 x P4 pessaries and 1 x combo pessary (feels like I'm spending all day medicating myself!) and BAM!! - I feel like a mood-swinging mofo! My temper is so short I'm snapping/yelling at my DS for the randomest/smallest things :( Is it the progesterone do you think?
Thinking I will do acu this time too, just need to get by bum into gear and book it in!
-
i have no idea jane... i guess its the fumes you are worried about? could you plead with the hairdresser to squeeze in you this weekend (maybe pop a few tears out, tell them why etc?!) ;)
-
people get preg all the time and dye their hair....
just depends on whether you will blame yourself for doing it if it's a BFN..... I'd probably try to do it BEFORE the ET as well... if you can.....
-
Jane I wouldn't worry too much, but would still try and re-schedule to before the FET if I could
-
Myturn - big hugs from me as well... I'm sorry you feel so crappy... Acupuncture is awesome! I have been going about once a week for the last year! And my first time IVF I had it as well, once weekly, then just after embryo transfer and I fell pregnant (even though the end result wasn't quite what we wanted). Today I went back there and she will help me get my cycle back on track, so curious how soon the HCG will be out of my body!
Ree-Ree - that's sound like a hell of a lot of pessaries... Is that usual for an FET I wonder? I know it's your first one, but there are other people that have had FET's?
Jane - I don't know about colouring hair, but I know in general in pregnancy it can't hurt the baby.
AFM according to the acupuncturist I'm supposed to be day 6 now (counting D&C date as day 1) - so if you wouldn't mind updating that, Jane? I called the clinic today and booked in an appointment with the FS on Monday 25/6/12. According to the nurse I'll have to wait till HCG is out of my system, then wait a cycle and then we can start whatever we want to start. It doesn't sound like we can fit anything in before our trip to Europe in September, but we'll see.
I hope everyone is well!
-
Jane it's funny you mention it -as you know I had my transfer yesterday and I am getting my hair done Friday night! I hadn't even considered it being an issue to be honest. At this early stage there's no placenta so no chance of any 'chemicals' that I may/may not absorb getting to the embie (that's just my non-professional view!).
But what it comes down to is whether you would blame a BFN on having gotten your hair done in the TWW. Myself, I'm still having my appt, but you have to be happy with your own decision :)
-
Hi lovely ladies
Ree- u/sound is booked in for Friday- cant wait to see how we're doing!
I was going to try ACU, but I just never made any appointments!
Am I too late? When is optimal to have it done?
I coloured my hair throughout my pregnancy with DD- the only thing I wouldn't do- was put bleach straight on my head (without foils)
I'm off to the hairdressers tomorrow too!!!
Not to be a sook or anything- but did anyone find that they experienced the most uncomfortable-ness on one side?
I naturally O on my left side, and last night my left side was far more bloated than my right?!?
-
Thanks for the hair advice. Might call my hairdresser tomorrow and see if I can't get in early if not I think I will just go ahead with it. So much of life gets put on hold during this LTTC. All because of the "what if". What i I'm pregnant. It does your head in sometime.
Hi Emma - I found I got quite sore and heavy and lying on one side hurt once I'd been stimming for a while. At your US you should get an idea of how many follies you have on each side and what size they are.
ReeRee – I can’t believe how many pessaries you have to do. I start on Sat with 2 a day. I wont complain about that anymore. I would reckon all those hormones would definitely be messing with your mood. Hope DH is kind and understanding to you. Sometimes we just need some extra TLC.
Me4ever – Glad you got an answer re where you are up to cycle wise. Will update you on the list. Wow a trip to Europe in the coming months – how awesome!!!
Miss B – sorry it looks AF is on her way, but it great you have a plan ready to go for your next cycle.
Andie – Been quietly stalking you. Sorry babe. Hugs. Know we are all here for you.

Hi ladies,
Well I am confused......I had spotting yesterday and today later in the day I had fresh blood, but it's still not 'full on' flow, do I count that as day 1??
Jane, I coloured my hair as per normal when I was pg with Cam.....I was told it was OK..
Emma, I was bloated all over in my stim cycles. And then in my last cycle, all my pain was on my left side, and when I had a u/s they said all the mature eggs were on the right, the ones on the left were too small and they didn't get any from that side. Weird!
myturn, big hugs sweetie . I think you'll like the acupuncture and it has been proven to be extremely beneficial for IVF patients. I so hope it's beneficial for me and my 'older' eggs...:)
ReeRee, thanks hunni :) I will have everything crossed for your FET hun
Hello to everyone else!
b xxx
-
MissB - Just call the clinic and let them know, if you're doing some sort of treatment this month??. I was spotting for 4 days before my IVF cycle and called the clinic on the fifth day and had a blood test done. Then they told me I was already day 2 of that month's cycle... and was to start meds the next day...
Have a good day everyone!!
-
At the beginning of cycle two here - my levels were only 2 last time, need to be >15
got royally mucked around at the gyno clinic, which is nothing unusual
The plan now is (after seeing the better OBGYN finally):
CD 4-8 (inclusive) Clomid
DTD from day 8 onwards, at a minimum of every 48 hrs
CD 21 bloods (03/07)
technically from 1st-10th of the month I should be taking my Provera..... but have been told to hold off until I get the results from the test... then told to wait and see if AF arrives naturally (which never happens to me).. If AF hasnt arrived by the end of July I am to do a HPT and if negative, start Provera in August..
I seriously think that this plan is queer... like instead of me having a 28-30 day cycle like I had been happening since my m/c = using the provera - having to wait around and hope that things work is turning things into a 60 day cycle......
Is this normal?????
-
Thanks me4ever, I rang my nurse and she said to count today as day 1, as I got the red flow (very light tho) around 5 pm yesterday and they say that if it's after 6 pm to count the next day as day 1. So CD1 for me today :) Jabbing tomorrow, from Monday jabbing twice a day and u/s on Thursday.
Welcome super_lost_mumma_of_1 ( is slmo1 for short ok?) and good luck with your cycle hun. I'm sorry but I can't help you with Provera or clomid but I hope someone in here can :)
So, CD1 for me, things are finally happening and I can't help but feel excited, nervous, scared!! and relieved the cycle is finally here - all at once!
Hello to everyone :)
