So I rang. I have a blood clotting disorder that needs to be treated before we can do our next cycle. Appointment on 2nd July.
Jane I don't want to sound stupid but I honestly don't know a lot about blood clotting disorders, how are they treated? Does it take along time to treat it? Could you still go ahead in July with your next cycle? Am I asking too many questions? Hope your feeling ok, thinking of you xxx
Sneaks in Jane I'm following your journey and just wanted to send you a hug. I have a blood clotting disorder and once it was sorted things improved for me. I hope the July appointment is the next great step forward for you too xx sneaks out
Thanks girls. Joeve what did your treatment involve? I have no idea what is in store for me 1mp. Dr Google suggests it could be daily oral meds or injections?
Jane, I know quite a bit about blood clotting disorders. Did the FS say what the disorder is?

N2L. I don't know what type it is yet. I haven't been able to speak to him directly yet and my appointment is not until July 2. The girls at his clinic mentioned the blood clotting issue when they rang to schedule my appointment. I might call again and ask. Is there anything general I should know or does it all depend on the type?
1MP. Are you doing a cycle this month or taking it off? (sorry I can't remember and don't want to mix ppl up)
I have no idea if this is anything but I have issues with protein c (a clotting factor) and will be on a combination of clexane and aspirin my entire pregnancy
So I found out that I carry one copy of the prothrombin gene mutation. Time forsome research I think.
Jane there seems to be loads of blood clotting issues that effect fertility. I have anti cardio lipid antibodies, it's common with lupus (which I'm fortunate enough not to have).
Research is good but don't panic too much until you see your FS.

Hi ladies. Jane, I really hope that your appt goes well in july and that you get to do your fet sooner rather than later.
I have been taking some time out to sort out my options with this large fibroid. Went for a second opinion re what to do about it. Due to my over 40 age, they said that they wouldn't do operation, if I were 20 years younger then yes. He doesn't think it's the issue for not getting pregnant. Now to work out if i can possibly afford to go through this other clinic, qfg Townsville, for any future ivf cycles. They do different protocols to monash and epu / transfers are every two weeks as apposed to every two months. Starting meditation for stress again. Unsure about starting the 'changing habits' protocol for weight loss which apparently can help with fertility issues?
Anyway, fx for all starting cycles this month.

Has anyone heard of endometrial scrapping? Ive read it can improve chances doing IVF
1mp. Yep it is meant to improve implantation. I think it is also sometimes called a pipelle. Usually done in the weeks leading up to transfer. My dr did one for me last month but our cycle got delayed. Will be doing it again before my next transfer. Not sure if that helps any.
I'm cd 4 today... 20 day cycle with the first 14 days bleeding. I don't know what's going on!

I had a hernia bulge a few weeks ago (I didn't even know I had a hernia)
its about half way between my belly button and my boobs, I had an operation
there a while ago which is obviously the cause. Its still bulging a bit but not in
any pain should I get it operated on before my FET? Since its near the top of
my stomach I don't want it to cause problems if the FET is successful.
I would ask your dr 1mp. But I could imagine that your hernia could get worse with a successful pregancy.

I saw the Dr for my hernia and I need surgery so trying to get in asap but at the moment it looks like July and then I have to wait 3 months to
do FET so I'm now looking at October:-( She said if I fell pg with the hernia how it is now it will get bigger and bulge more and be painful during pregnancy.
Hope they can get you in soon for the surgery. How are you feeling about it all?

*sneaking in...1mp I had a pipelle biopsy done three times. I got pg twice. The first time I had it done I got a BPF (ended in missed mc), second one was done too early as I ovulated later than expected and third time I had it done I got another BFP which is now my 23 month old year old DS. I really believe it helped inplantation. It freaking hurts having it done but it was worth it. Mild cramping afterward with a bit of spotting....sneakes out...
Thanks Jane I'm seeing someone next week so hopefully soon. FET will hopefully be in August :crossfingers:
Thanks Jane and Vic261 I will talk to my FS and have one done before the FET at least then I can say I tried everything ;)

Hi ladies, I'm going to join in with you here :)
We are TTC #2, we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, who is desperate for a brother!
We have been trying for just over a year, as soon as DD stopped bfing. No luck, and with PCOS I'm not ovulating very regularly.
Got referred to a fs, and I'm on my first cycle with clomid. I took primolut to bring on a period, and am on 50mg clomid, CD2-6. Today (Friday) is CD3. I've got a follicle tracking u/s on CD10, so fingers crossed that we get the go ahead from that. Also taking metformin 1g daily.
I had placental insufficiency/IUGR with DD, and the fs said to keep taking met and start low dose aspirin as soon as I get my BFP... interested to know if anyone else has had experience with this.
On a side note, BB seems quieter than when I was in here TTC before!
Welcome Frog! I hope your stay here is short.
I too have a 2 yo DD conceived after a yr of ivf and countless yrs trying naturally before then. Have been back on the ivf bandwagon since last Sept trying to conceive number two. My next FET looks like it may not be til Aug but will see at FS app on 2nd July.
It is quieter these days in here but the women here are just as amazing and supportive as ever.
