Awesty, I've had success with acupuncture in the past. I started after our 3rd BFN IVF and got a natural BFP in our second cycle of acupuncture. We also got a natural BFP with acupuncture when we started TTC#2. Unfortunately, both were m/c. I was also doing acupuncture during our successful IVF. I've done acupuncture in every cycle that gave us a BFP and never gotten a BFP without it... I haven't been since October, but I stopped in yesterday and made an appt for next weekend.

Thanks juniper76, I was just looking up acupuncturists in the services section, I hope you don't mind if I ask a couple questions, your experience with it sounds pretty positive?

How many times in a cycle did you go? Did you go to someone who specialised in fertility/conception? What area are you in? (in case you are near me I'll be asking you for their name)

    A xx

I go once per week most of the time. Occasionally we'll do an extra treatment at O time if my O is mid-week and we do extra treatments just before and after transfer if we're doing an IVF or FET cycle. You definitely want to see someone who specialises in fertility because someone who doesn't know what they're doing can cause more harm than good.

Are you in Brisbane? The acu I see is at Ashgrove. I can PM her name to you if you want. I've met people on the forums who drive all the way from Ipswich to see her...

Ah, crap! When I put the pregnyl in the fridge yesterday, I didn't noticed that one of the powder ampoules for my trigger had fallen out of the box. I only found out when I got it out to do the trigger! I was able to use one of the booster shots instead, but now I'll have to ask for another to replace it. So annoyed that the nurse didn't put it back in the box properly (she took it out to show me how to do it even though I told her I'd used it before) and that I didn't notice when I was putting it in the fridge!

And I cut my finger on one of the ampoules just to complete the experience...

Awkward bugger!!! I think I've got one here, but that's no help to you all the way up there.

    How annoying!

Welcome Bec & awesty - hope you get your bfps soon.

Oh juniper! I have cut myself before on the vial too - how annoying that you need to get one replaced too cause of their fault.

Well scan this morning shows my lining has not increased at all. I am so angry at my body & also the fs for the fact they werent even going to check it again & let us do the transfer. I have cancelled this cycle - font want to waste and embryo, the money & the emotional stress it puts on us. Am very upset though. The clinic will ring me this afternoon to say where we are going to go now. I so wanted to be pregnant by the time I turn 34 but that's not happening now. I always had a limit of need to have children done by 35. Running out of time now - we will be lucky to get one at all.
