At the moment every second person is asking when number 2 is coming. I want to slap them when they ask. I can relate so much as ttc took over my life. It is addictive... I am scared to ever think about ttc again because it's so hard for so many of us.

Emma - I know exactly how you feel. I am not sure how long we can go on either. The emotional roller coaster is excruciating & only those who have to take this path know. Every minute of everyday I think about ttc. I can't see my life any other way than with at least one child though. I really want 2 but can't see us going through this again if it eventually works for one.
We have decided to try hrt fet next cycle. I am praying that I don't react to the progesterone like I did in my stim cycle. If I do then I am not sure what we are to do if this next cycle doesn't work. My dh really doesn't get it- he actually said surely you can deal with a little sweat. He is not the one waking up 4 times a night drenched & not getting enough sleep because of it. He has done his job & now the embryos are in the freezer waiting for my body to behave.
Good luck Faye, Juniper & Sarah4kurt. I so wished that I was in the tww with you - but I as am so glad I stuck to my guns and cancelled this cycle.
Williever - so sorry about your mum. My mum really doesn't understand either & I am finding it easier not telling her stuff anymore. I only tell her after things have gone wrong.
All done - embryo thawed well however 1 of the cells died on thawing however grew back before implant was done so they are wrapped with the quality and my lining was perfect so FX

Williever, great reply! Why are our mothers like that? Mine is similarly unsupportive (when we first started IVF she said we shouldn't do it because it's "too clinical"). Then she got her nose out of joint when I stopped including her. We'll have to make sure we don't do the same in 20 years' time...

Afm, have been a little short of breath since yesterday afternoon. Not sure what's going on since the idea of (mild) OHSS seems a bit crazy when I only had 2 eggs (maybe 3) and I've never had a problem at higher doses (and up to 7 eggs). It's not as bad today, but I'm keeping an eye on it. Doesn't help that I've gained some weight recently, so might just be a coincidence (and a warning sign that I need to lose weight!). I've actually made some good diet changes this week (ie haven't had takeaway every single day), but still a looooong way to go... Speaking of, I'd better go sort out dinner and will have to duck back out when DH gets home to buy some food to cook tomorrow...
Fertility treatments, appointments with FS, my surgeon and the clinic plus terrible bouts of depression have lead to me taking a lot of time off work.
Today they sacked me, knowing full well what I'm going through, they kicked me while I'm down. We may have to cancell our holiday which is supposed to be in 2 weeks time, and it looks like no more stim OI/IUI cycles as we won't be able to afford it now. I'm nearing the end of all I can handle emotionally and I'm afraid I'm going to end up in a loony bin.
Sorry, selfish rant. I'm so glad I have you guys. I really do apologies, I don't want to be so depressing.

Curtysgirl, that's terrible! Are you eligible for any Centrelink benefits? Are you getting some professional counselling to work on the depression? I hope you find your dream job very quickly and that this will turn out to be a good thing in the long run. :goodluck:

Oh curtysgirl I am so so so sorry that has happened. :( I wonder if they can do that legally??? Do you feel up to contacting legal aid and seeing if there is something they can do to help??

DF said we can still go in our holiday and we have enough money saved for one stim oi/iui plus a couple of mortgage repayments etc. he is so wonderful. But I do have to find a job fast so if anyone knows of anything in Perth northern suburbs, please let me know.

Afm - cd6, take last clomid tonight, blood test on Tuesday and hopefully iui Wednesday or Thursday, maybe even Friday. I am focusing on relaxing, lots of BDing, acupuncture on Saturday, fertility yoga on Tuesday and visualising a nice juicy egg, meeting a big healthy sperm and setting up home in my lovely healthy womb! As well as sending positive vibes all your way!
Curtsygirl I am so sorry to hear what you are going through at the moment. It sounds like you have a good DF, I hope you find another job soon and your spirits get picked up a bit on your holiday xo

US with specialist today revealed no hole in uterus. A small defect on scar but nothing that needs an op.
A call afterwards confirmed transfer could be Tuesday (5 day blast).
Long debate....... We're going for it!

Hi all, I have been here but just not having much to say! :) after our last BFP from an FET last month we didn't have any eggs left so we are having to wait now until August to be able to afford a stim cycle. We are doing ivf due to my low AMH and our FS didn't expect anything else but I got reading and scared myself a bit with some of the symptoms of endometriosis and so he said he is happy to do a laparoscopy if we really want. We decided it would be best to investigate everything before starting a new cycle and while we have the time. We made the decision on Wednesday to go ahead and were told the waiting list was 4-6 weeks, which was ok, got a phone call today and i go in next Wednesday wowsers how quick was that?! There was a cancellation!! I am freaking out already! But I suppose it is better to get it over and done with! So that is my long story, sorry!

Kel, thanks for the update! Wow, that is quick for the lap! I've had to wait at least 4 weeks both times! If you want some tips to prepare for the recovery, have a look at my blog (link in signature). At the right hand side of the blog, there's a link called "Laparoscopy Checklist". I've used it both times to prepare. It's a long list, but you can pick and choose which tips to follow.
Oh my gosh Juniper, I am freaking out more after reading that list :( is the pain and constipation etc more likely if they actually have to remove any problems?
Honestly, I didn't find either so bad that I wasn't willing to do it again. You wouldn't do it for fun, but it's bearable. I didn't even take the prescribed dosage of pain killers (didn't need them and they can make the constipation worse). And I didn't have any problems with constipation when I started the stool softeners as soon as I got home. The recovery time does vary depending on how much work they do. My first lap they removed a lot of endo and I was sore for 8 days; my second lap there wasn't much re-growth and I felt better after just 2 days. If they find nothing, you should be right after 1-2 days and you go into your cycle confident that you've checked everything. If they do find something, then it's a good thing you did the lap, right?
Thanks Juniper, I think sometimes I read myself into a little panic, just a little ;) yep you are right I just know I would kick myself if we didn't do it and then cycled a few more times and then did it only to find there was a problem and we had just wasted time and precious embryos. Thanks for the reassurance and encouraging words I think sometimes it is good to hear that someone else is thinking the same thing I am! :)

AFM: As I said before I was worried as the last 3 cycles with injectables I have been triggered on day 7 which I think is way too early. My acupuncturist put me on some
herbs to help with this and for the first time my fs has decided to wait till the follies grow a bit more as they are not as big as before which means I will be getting triggered
on Monday which will be day 11 so herbs are working and i'm happier with that.

Kel, I have also had 2 laps done. First was diagnostic and the 2nd I had a lot of endo removed. I also didn't need pain killers for either as the pain wasn't that bad... You'll be fine! It's worth it for the peace of mind...

Kel, I think it also depends how much belly fat you have as to how difficult and painful it is. I had one in December for an egg retrieval. I am a fat chick and I mostly carry my weight on my stomach. When I woke up the FS said it had been very difficult (he also had to do a lot of shoving and moving things around because I have an enlarged uterus that my ovaries like to hide behind). Anyway, Panadeine forte was my best friend and I was definitely bed/couch bound for 36 hours.
