Maggie Hi, that could indicate that you have had a chemical pregnancy or it could just be that one day too soon. I had two results similar to yours and both were chemicals. Don't lose heart but, it is a good sign that something did try to happen or is still happening. GL with it.

Well here it is ........ I did my POAS this morning and OMG i got a BFP straight awayI can't believe it!!! I am trying to get an appointment with my clinic to get a BT done today just to be sure, but there are no drugs which can cause a false positive this time. I don't know what to feel it has been two long years since we began trying and to end up falling naturally is a huge shock. I will keep you all posted.
Renee - OMG!!! CONGRATULATIONS sweetie! Sooo happy for your excellent news! Hope the BT brings lovely high numbers. How funny, that it ended up being on a natural cycle
Marcellus - thanks for your advice too. We've had a long chat with the embryologist, and decided to go for broke this cycle and grow them all out to day 5. If that doesn't work, next stim cycle we'll try some day 3s.
Loops - I'm so sorry to hear your news hun. Be kind to yourself, and have a wonderful time on your holiday, decompress and get stuck into that beautiful Tassie cheese and wine!

Albi - go the acupuncture - its great! I'm convinced that my acupuncturist is helping keep OHSS at bay for me, I love her. Doing it to grow strong eggies, then before and after transfer. The way I look at it is, I'll throw everything I can at this TTC thing! No regrets.
Babytruj - hope the scan today goes well and your transfer is next WEDNESDAY!

Maggie - I'm sorry, but I am not much use to you as I have not had a BFP but I have heard that even a lower level can result in a healthy preg as long as the numbers are doubling and cathch up. Good luck on Monday, I hope your results are clearer for you.

AFM, I had my 2nd scan yesterday. The doc has now seen 8 good-sized follies, including 3 (from memory) in the 20-22mm range. We are set to trigger tomorrow evening for EPU on Tuesday. Unfortunately, he also told me that estradiol levels were a lot lower than he would have expected for the # of follicles he's seeing (2970 at Day 7 of stims). He said that he would usually only expect 3-4 eggs from that level. So now I'm wondering if half of my follicles are empty, or if perhaps I'm just somebody whose eggs produce less estrogen than other people. I'd love to hear if any of you were in a similar position and what the outcome was as far as # of eggs produced at pick up.

Maggie - I have had three chemicals and at 20 it may be more likely a chemical than not, but it also might be a viable pregnancy which you can't tell until you have your next BT. Either way, it shows you that something happened and that can be a positive step in getting to your BFP.
glenny_c - I am sorry you aren't feeling so great today. I think it's human nature that we have our ups and downs on this crazy TTC path, but I hope you find strength knowing that you are completely normal feeling up and down. You won't be letting your husband down, so don't even think about that, I am sure he would never want you to feel that way. It's a tough gig this rollercoaster, but it's worth it in the end. I hope for you that this is also your month to get a nice BFP too!
KitKat72 - Sorry I can't help as I never really listened to the follicle counts, I knew there was nothing I could do about them. If it helps, my cousin only ended up with two eggs from 8 follices, one went to blast and is now her daughter.

Hello to everyone else, hope you are enjoying a long weekend and getting to some Anzac Day events
Well I am back after my last failed IUI DF and I are finally doing our first IVF I am currently on cd8 been on syranal since cd2 nasty stuff it is, was doing 450 gonal f and 50 pregnyl every second day as well as 2 metformin twice a day, so I think I have the sniffing, injecting and ingesting all down to a fine art now. Had my first scan and BT today E2 was 11,000 and they were a total of 20 follicles that were big enough and another 30 that were undersize, so FS has dropped me back to 225 gonal f with another BT and Scan on Monday with possible EPU wed so keeping fingers crossed that all goes well.
Sorry no personals will catch up with everyone when have more time and news.

Tantee, I think a few drinks is not so bad. You need to chill out a little and relax, and a girls weekend should be good for you.
Melissa – Yeah, I just find acupuncture helps me relax. I do find it a bit hard, cos I am in Singapore, and a lot of the TCM practitioners are all Main land Chinese, so their English is not great. I could go to more Western facilities, but their prices are like 3 times the price, and I figure anywhere I can save some money is good Happy Birthday for the 24th! Hope you had a good time, and enjoyed yourself. The TWW is the worst part, and the part I am dreading the most!!
TrueBlue – I was petrified of IVF at first because of the needles, and actually put it off for a few months, but once you get into it it’s not so bad. The needles are kinda easy, and it only takes a few seconds. You’ll be a needle junkie soon
Lairdoz – How did you fit so many in this year already! That is madness. We are going for blasties – my husband won’t have anything less put in.
Hi Maggie – I had an ectopic pregnancy Jan 09, and my Hcg levels were really low then. I did a HPT the night I started bleeding (very heavy bleeding, and huge cramps) and it was positive. I was essentially 1.5 weeks late at that date. The blood tests at the hospital showed the HCG, but very low levels. I had to have my fallopian tube removed cos it was too damaged.
Other than that, I have no experience of having a blood test to check for Hcg levels.
Renee – Congratulations. Great news there!
Kitkat – good luck with the EPU.
AFM – the scan was ok. My lining is too thin, only at 4, so the FS wants to wait to do another scan on Friday, as she said it needs to be between 6 and 8... So I have upped my Progynova tabs to 4 a day, and still injecting 10ml of Lucrin a day. So bonus is I get to go to Kelly Clarkson tomorrow night! Bad thing is I have to wait another week, Sigh! But rather my body was ready and has nice thick lining to catch the embryo!!
Maggie, I'm sorry to hear your hcg level was low. I went through a similar situation, but unfortunately mine ended in a chem pg. However, I spent a lot of time reading and it seems that it is certainly possible to go on to have a healthy pg after a low starting hcg. Monday's test will give you a better indication. If the levels are rising appropriately (doubling time of 24-48 hours) then that will be a great sign. My levels rose more slowly (doubling time of 72 hours) before finally dropping.

It's great to hear so many stories from people who are going through the same as me. Makes me feel a lot less crazy for how I'm feeling!

KitKat- Asking about follicles? At my last US, my doc wrote on my chart that I had 10 follicles, 7 on my right and 3 on my left. Unfortunately at EPU they only managed to get two good eggs. I have fingers crossed for you that you do better than me. But like I keep telling myself- It only takes one.
I'm currently day 9 into my 2WW and I was doing pretty well until today. I've had a bad day today, feeling really down and starting to think that it hasn't worked. I've been really positive until now but finding this tough. I know that the feeling is probably just a side effect from the Crinone but that doesn't really help me pull myself out of it. I think I just need to give myself a big shake and stop being so stupid.
I'm finding the waiting really hard, harder than I thought it would be. I'm so scared that it won't work. I can't stand the thought of letting my husband down. He wants this so badly. ahhhhh!!!!!!!!
Anyway- sorry for the rant but I guess I needed a little release. I would love a big bourbon right now!!
