It could be pregnyl because, technically, it is progesterone support. It causes your body to produce more progesterone.

Yep, what N2L said. My second FS said he actually considers them the best form of luteal support! After my last IUI (225iu FSH) I used only the pregnyl boosters (3x 1500iu) and no progesterone and I had a 17-day LP (normally 14 days), so I'm convinced they work!

    Thanks ladies :-)

I used pregnyl as my trigger, I think?
I actually have to go to the clinic for these injections as they are IM, instead of SC- which is what makes me think they are not pregnyl?
Speaking to another lady who uses my FS- she had the PIO shot too- so maybe my FS really liked to use
    PIO?

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014

Out of a proposed 25 follicles, only managed to collect 9 eggs as my right ovary wouldn't cooperate.
To say I'm disappointed would be a freakin under statement.
I was rude to the theatre staff and left as soon as I could.
    Very unhappy.

Emma, I'm sorry to hear they couldn't retrieve the eggs from the right ovary. 9 is still a good number, so FX you have some great embryos growing beautifully tomorrow!

Emma, sorry thay didn't more eggies as you would have liked, but 9 is still an excellent number. FX they all fertilize nicely.

Congrats Sarah on your RAK That's a lovely achievement!

AFM, I still haven't called the new FS. I've worked out I'm petrified I'll go and see him and he'll tell me to take a hike and tell me I'm just too bloody OLD. Sign.

Oh Emma big hugs your not out yet. I know you feel let down but hey one might be the golden and that's all you need! Xo

And missb go out there and get em tiger! .... And if your eggs are too old ha ha like I feel mine are, lets dream about getting some young beautiful supermodel looking donors hee hee
Thanks for the RAK congrats I feel lucky xo

Guess I'm all alone in the 2ww girlies! I've done something different and got a hcg shot around implantation time. So grasping at straws lol.

Got to listen to my best friend talk all about how sick preg is making her and how she's not really into having another baby and how she plans on throwing it over to me because I want one so much and have my whole house and life set up for one! I said sure but I won't want to give it back lol!
And I'm so mad she still hasn't stopped smoking! I don't do s thing allways just ttc all this time and lose them and she's going to the gym running around 100 miles n hour and smoking ect. Not to mention she was meant to have her ultrasound weeks ago now and hasn't still.
(yeah I guess I'm a lil sore her bubs due day before my last mc) this is why I stay away from her a bit because I'm a bit hurting. I've tried so hard.

    Anyway that's enough from me!
    Good luck hunnies xxxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014

    Thanks girls :-)

I know 9 is a good number, but I was expecting much more.
    Especially for PGD testing.
I'm crossing my fingers that over half fertilize!

    Miss B- ring that FS!
You won't know what he will say until you try.

Sarah- I totally get how you feel about your friend...... If space makes you feel better- then so be it.
Any good friend would understand that!

    Thanks Emma xo
I was thinking about how your ovary wouldnt cooperate?!
How does that happen! I didn't think it "had to do" anything bar FS collect the eggs?
I sure hope he didn't stuff up on you.

May I ask how much it is all costing you with the pgd?

Afm I tested yesterday with hpt just to see the hcg shot.
Gosh I keep staring at it as it's such a very strong 2 lines I wish to god I could get that for real!
Now I've got to wait forever to get out of my system to see if it worked :-/.

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception April/May 2014

It's happened to me before- apparently my bowel covers it?
I had 2 surgeons (my FS and the director) trying to work it yesterday with no luck.
Do I have you on FB Sarah? I can take a picture of the cost sheet, if you like?
I think it's about 13k before rebate, that includes PGD on 4 embryos, after that it's $550 per extra embryo (I think)
No rebate on PGD, just normal rebate for stim cycle.
