    Hi everyone

Well I am back from the TWW thread - had a BFN result from b/t on Monday and AF arrived last night, so am feeling pretty sad and cr@ppy at the moment. We have decided to take a break for a while. It looks like we are about to move interstate, change jobs, buy a new house and apparently continue with our uni studies! We are both so emotionally exhausted (and financially) after these last 2 cycles that we feel that I need to take a break. We will continue to try naturally and I am really hoping that by changing jobs and getting rid of the all of the negative vibes and stress that I have had for the past 2 years might help in our TTC journey.

I am now trying to catch up with everyone and their progress over the last few days... it seems there is a lot of action about to happen in here. Rols, Mumof5 and Happymel good luck with the next exciting part of your cycles... I have my fingers crossed for you. To everyone else having appointments, tests and waiting for AF to arrive, good luck with it all.

Chez- thanks for the good lucks Im sorry last cycle didnt work, gee there hasnt been much good news in here lately Where are you moving to??? We are also moving interstate, change of jobs, new atmospehere etc...etc... and both hoping that this will, in particular, bring my stress levels down, and well who knows!! I also, am tired of the stress and negativity in my life, i want to be positive, i really do, but there's just so much battling against me, us, right now, and sometimes its just so hard to see through it all. I am lucky in that my DH is so positive, he drives me nuts sometimes, but even now with this crappy cycle, he's disappointed Oh well... I hope that the change is good for you both, i am sure it will and good luck with trying naturally. WAY more fun that way!!!

Chez, I was wondering how things were going with you so I checked the TWW thread just before I had to go out earlier and saw your news. Sorry that it didn't work this time, and I hope your impending move will provide some mental relief if nothing else.

U/S this morning, and whilst we get the specific results this afternoon, it looks as though DW has roughly 8 follies on each ovary, with an average size of 15-17mm. EPU Sunday at this stage to allow another day or so of growth. FS happy with everything and I think she said the endometrium was fine as well. We were both surprised to hear that the EPU apparently only takes 15-20 minutes. I assumed it would go for an hour or more. FS also said that if DW was going OK with the u/s at this stage of the cycle, as far as discomfort/pain was concerned, then the EPU shouldn't be much different. DW said it was uncomfortable (because of her big fat ovaries I suppose) but not too bad.

Hi Rols - thanks for thinking of me. I am glad to hear that everything seems to be going well for you and your DW. 8 follies on each side sounds like a great number to have, particularly if they are all of a similar size. How many are you going to transfer? Good luck with the next few days and remember, the trigger is not quite as easy going as the other injections, so extra cuddles required for DW after
Take care and I will be following your progress (ie living vicariously!).

    Hi Holly & Happymel

Thanks for your kind words. We are moving to Canberra it seems - while we have never lived there before, we have heaps of friends who live there who we go and visit several times each year, so we sort of know the city and the area. We have paid a holding deposit on a house and I am in the throws of negotiating final details of a job offer I have received. Now we just need DF to get his job offer through in the next few days - hopefully we will know by Friday - and then we can go full steam ahead. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for DF... we have decided that I am moving anyway and I don't want us to be separated for months while he tries to get a job in Canberra... that won't make TTC naturally very easy at all

Happymel, good luck with your changes. Where are you moving to?

Holly - how is everything with you? ...sorry I seem to have lost track of so many people at the moment.

Chez, what's the go with the trigger? the instructions in the pack say it's to be given in the same way as the other drugs, but on the packet it says intra-muscular.

Got to go and the get the boss some extra Puregon for tomorrow night.

Trigger confirmed for Friday night and EPU Sunday morning.

Sparkles: AFL. You know it! Being from the south, we don't play rugby. We southerners like a good bar fight whilst watching AFL and shooting things (well I don't, but some do). We don't even get rugby on TV at all (except for State of Origin). I don't even know the difference between League and Union!

Rols, you may want to double check that with your clinic. I've had two trigger shots, and they've both been subcutaneous. Intramuscular - ouch!

Rols - My MIL is a nurse and she did our trigger injections and when the fertility clinic heard she was a nurse and doing our injections they purposely pointed out that whilst the box says intramuscular we were to take it subcutaneously. And all three times ive had a trigger (and one of these was given by my FS herself) these were straight in the tummy (which isn't very muscular hehe). I would definately check with your fertility clinic to make sure. Hope this helps

    Hi All,

First up Chez ... so sorry to hear about the BFN! I hope that the change in lifestyle will make things easier for you and your DH! Fingers crossed!
Mof5 ... how are you progressing in your cycle? any further news on your follies?
I went to the clinic yesterday and they did my BT. This afternoon they confirmed I'd Ovulated and that unfortunately I wasnt pregnant (like I expected it after all these months), but that I could start with the Synarel spray this Sat. So off we roll on the ICSI journey.
BW I also booked myself in at the Rozelle Acu & CM Centre for next week, so here's hoping that the Acupuncture also does wonders and if anything keeps me relaxed, what with work being so busy and stressful at times!! Hope you are feeling better and your DH is spoiling you!
Rols - good luck with DW on Sunday - how exciting ... looking forward to hearing how that goes!
To every1 else good luck and speak soon

    Hi Rols

I agree with the other ladies, the nurses always told me to do the trigger in the stomach the same as the other injections. The only difference with the trigger is that the needle is a bit thicker and I needed to push harder to get it in. I think someone said once in this thread that it was like a nail! Not a nice injection really but better than the pregnyl which always seemed to sting the 2 times I used it.

Anyway, good luck with the trigger and I hope everything goes to plan for you and your DW.

Hi Rols - CONGRATULATIONS! on the way to EPU without any serious complications. you make a wondeful pair! i had no troubles with the puregon shots, but as the girls warned the trigger is tougher. It looked quite harmless but i swear my skin just didnt want the needle to go in for the initial piercing! so expect alot of resistance!! good luck and cant wait till sunday to hear the EPU results. are you going for a 2-3 transfer or a blastocyst or will FS make the decision as fertilisation takes place?

Well, apparently DW has 23 follicles. Endometrium is 10mm which is what they want apparently.

Last night and the night before she has been uber tired, and last night she had a fair bit of discomfort in the ovary/guts region. Same this morning. Of course OHSS was on my mind, so she went into the clinic to pick up some extra Puregon and ask about it. They aren't concerned and just said because her ovaries are ginormous at the moment, and because of her size, they've got nowhere to go.

She was a bit teary and exhausted last night, but her usual self today.

Having 23 follies is a bit intimidating - I'm getting worried I wont fulfil my end of the bargain as far as fertilisation goes and then we'll have a whole heap of empty eggs!
