Tissy, hi and welcome! :welcome: If/when you'd like to be added to the list, just let me know where you are in your cycle.
Vic, sorry to hear your body is playing silly buggers too. KUP on how you're going.
Afm, I decided to do another opk last night before going to bed (about 1.30am) and it was half dark - still negative, but definitely darker than all the rest. I'm hoping, hoping, hoping that this means today's will be positive! Wish me luck! I may tear my hair out if I get another -opk (I've already got 20 of them for this cycle).
Hi ladies,
Sorry to hear most of you are getting frustrated waiting for something! lol. But no one can beat my frustration hahaha, October seems soooooooo bloody long time away, I just want to get started! waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! lol.
Juniper, I hope you get your +opk today! FX hun.
Vic, hope you AF shows up soon, so frustrating isn't it? But it always seems to be the case, when we want something to happen, our bodies just take that little bit longer to get there! grrrrrrr! Very annoying!
Tissy, welcome to our little corner :) I'm sure you'll find lots of support here, and GL on your journey hun!
Andie, GL with your stim hun!!! Is the elnova the slow release cycle?
N2l, hope your eggie comes soon!!
Hi to anyone else I missed :)
So tired of being sick ladies!! Looks like I'm getting sick again :( Woke up with a sore chest and sore throat, not happy! This is the 4th time I've been sick this winter :( I'm not sure if it's because I didn't have a flu shot this year (I always get it) or b/c DS is in childcare and is bringing germs home. He doesn't seem to be sick as much as me though, how does that work????? Anyhoo, so frustrated that I couldn't do the September cycle, I wish I was doing something!!:wall:
b xxx
Miss.B, sorry to hear you've been sick so often. I'd guess it's both of those things - you have a high risk of exposure due to the child care and didn't get vaccinated against any of the known strains. I never get a flu shot and some years I get sick a lot and others I don't. I did find that the time I did 2 IVF cycles back to back (March & May) I was sick the entire winter, so I think the IVF cycles run our bodies down a bit too. Hope you feel better soon.
Soooooo, today's opk is....
POSITIVE!!! :leap:
Just barely, but I'll take it! (http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q...6/IMG_1564.jpg, bottom of the picture, OPK #21 for this cycle)
Now to hope I actually O! I'll be obsessing over temps now...
Must be the day for it because......
POSITIVE OPK here too!
Along with EWCM so it looks like it's BD city here for the next few nights. Sorry, nothing as exciting as a pic
Feeling very virtuous because I have cleaned out our spare room and bagged up lots of toys and books for kids in the Phillipines with TB. It was sad looking at DD's old toys and books and school work. I came across a transcription she did in prep or grade one of Taylor Swift's Love Story :o Oh my goodness....All I can say is I am glad her spelling has improved since then
Sorry you are feeling poorly still MissB. I have not had one cold or flu or anything this year. One day I thought I was getting something but it never eventuated. I put it down to all my supplements  Speaking of which, Woolworths has coQ10 on sale - about $8 off. Also, Chemist Warehouse has three pack of FRERs for $9.99. Just sayin' ;)
Off to clean more....
:hello: to everyone I have missed!
Thanks n2l and juniper :) Hoorah on the positive opk ladies!!!! Now down to the serious end of the business, have fun ladies!! tehehehehe.
Thanks for the tip on the coq10 & the frers n2l!! I'm on my last box of the coq10 so will go and get some. I think the frer prices are great too, nothing wrong with stocking up on essential items for later ;)
N2L, yay!! I was hoping you'd have good news too!
Good work girls. Enjoy the tww together :) :) :)
Hi ladies, can I join this thread? I recognize some names from others threads but for those who don't know me...we have been married almost five years and actively TTC for two. We have unexplained infertility. We went to an FS almost a year ago and now are finally booked in for our orientation and first IVF cycle.
I am currently 6CD with our appointment on sept 11(day 22). My family is supportive and know we will do IVF but DH doesn't want them to know when we are starting. I have a gorgeous friend I met on BB though who knows and is supportive!
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
miloro, hi and welcome! :welcome: Would you like me to add you to the list (3rd post from the top on this page)? We use the list to keep track of where everyone is at in their cycles, but you don't have to be on it if you don't want to.
Welcome miloro. You will find lots of lovely ladies all at varies stages of ivf. Feel free to ask away, as the first cycle can be overwhelming, but taking it one day at a time helps. I too have unexplained infertility. At 41 they are just putting it down to age. Good luck with everything and may you be one of the blessed ones and get pg on the first go :)
Just popping in to spread some good luck vibes :)
AFM, 6wks tomorrow and so far.....................nothing - no bleeding, loads of pregnancy symptoms and a bHCG of 1660 taken at 5wks. So Im hoping with everything I have that our scan on thursday shows a healthy bub with a heartbeat! I'll update then and if its good news you can bump me to the graduate spot on the list!
Thanks for the welcome juniper and Vic. Happy to be added to the list.
It sounds perhaps silly and naive but I have a good feeling. I knew before we started TTC that we were in for a long journey, but I feel good about the IVF. Let's hope that feeling lasts ;)
morning ladies, hope you all had a good weekend. im sure n2l & juniper did with their positive opk's... ;)
vic - any luck with af? just typical when the only time you want it to come, it doesnt. very annoying having to wait.
miss b - hi, been wondering how you're getting on. sorry to hear your still a bit sickly, hope you feel better soon. (and yep - elonva is the slow release drug. i hope it works as well last time.). xx
freya - sounds promising, best wishes for your scan this week.
milaro - welcome. i am in the unexplained category too, so you are not alone there. goodluck for your upcoming appt & i hope those good feelings mean that you wont be in here for very long. :)
afm - not much to report really, took elonva saturday & havent noticed any real side effects. im not worried (yet!), as i remeber last time i didnt feel many side effects either (ie bloating, ovary pain etc). it was after epu that i was a little uncomfortable. have a scan tomorrow to check progress, so fingers crossed there is something going on in there. hope you all have a great week. xx
Andie - No luck with AF :wall: Still waiting. I am going to call my clinic this morning to arrange another BT. I wont know until tomorrow what the plan will be. I dont feel like I ovulated, but my prog was 25 and my E2 300 so she says its happened. I asked if it was left over from the pg, but she says no because of the d&c. So in short :dunno: I will be stalking you re your Elonva. I am hoping to try that my next stim cycle and my clinic have just started using it.
vic - 25 prog does sound post-ovulation... maybe your bt today will give you some more info. or better yet - hopefully af will surprise you and turn up today. i know how annoying it is just waiting around for something to happen so that you can get started. drives you crazy. xx

Larry - 7/8/12 HCG 672!!
vic, how long after the d&c was that progesterone level? It took about 2 weeks for my temps to drop, so presumably it took that long for my progesterone to drop (I didn't have any b/t to monitor it)?
Andie, very exciting!
Afm, no temp rise today, so hopefully that makes today O day. Now to hope for a nice clear rise tomorrow!
My d&c was the 23rd July and the BT was done on the 16th August. 24 days after my d&c. Where is it??? My nurse said I should be about 7 days away from AF which should have meant last Thursday. Still waiting... Now I am stressing that if I didn't ovulate on my own, do I now try for a natural FET or just do the medicated to make sure the cycle actually goes ahead. I really want a stim in October, to make room for an FET in December if need be. Damn medicare saftey net!
Vic, did you call them like you said you were going to? If it's stressing you out, I'd say that's the way to go. That said, it's now 5 weeks since your d&c and that's a fairly typical cycle length for a d&c cycle (5-6 weeks), so I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong, I think it would just help you to know what is going on so you can stress a little less.
I will, however, join you in a chorus of "Damn you Medicare Safety Net (caps)"!! *shakes fist at heavens*
Damn you IVF costs and Medicare safety net!!!
(just throwing in my two cents)
I don't need ANY convincing- damn you IVF costs and Medicare safety net!

Quote for this stim is about $500 more than last stim I did in December. That's quite a price rise I reckon. *big frustrated sigh*
I'm dreading finding out how much more it will be than our last one (2010) if we have to do another stim cycle. I'm scared it will be more than we can afford.
Vic - it took me about 41 days or so before AF showed up after D&C... So hopefully not long before yours shows up...
IDD damn IVF costs and Medicare safety net...
AFM just plottering along, day9 today, but can't really be bothered getting excited this month as it's another natural cycle. Only 2 months before our FET, but first a countdown to us taking off... 7 nights to go before I'll see my family again for the first time in a year (hmm not very long, but long enough). Anyhow if all seems a bit quiet from this end, I'll be busy eating lots of cheese, seeing lots of windmills and no tulips :( wrong season, bummer.... Am quietly stalking you guys though and keeping my fingers crossed for lots of BFP, for AF to show up (especially for Vic ;), for good egg hauls etc etc :)
Hugs for all!
Thanks girls re timing of return of af. Maybe I am on track. I did have a bt but it gets flown to adelaide tonight so will know tomorrow. Maybe I ovulated day before first bt. Typical. I poas this morning and bfn. Didnt expect anything else. We had given up dtd around the time I may have o.
I hope it sorts itself out Vic. Bodies can be so frustrating at times :( If only they did what they were meant to do when they were meant to do it....*sigh*
Speaking of which, as you all know I got a positive opk and some ewcm yesterday. DTD last night like a good LTTTCer. Nothing unusual there... Then today at lunchtime I did a pee, wiped and had copious ewcm along with a small bit of bloody mucus. Am I right in assuming O has already happened??? (because of the blood). I thought the EWCM dried up pretty quickly :dunno: Just curious. Will hit the work bench tonight again regardless.
Thanks!
N2l I remember asking my doc a few yrs ago about some similar small bits of blood around O time and he said it can happen, no reason really for it but he never said if it meant it was before or after it.
If you dtd last night and it is cause O has happened then hopefully it means you caught that little eggie :-)
Morning all sounds like there's a few of us waiting for AF! I am still waiting..have my drugs ready and waiting but no AF hmmmmf! Juniper can I pls pop me in waiting for something to happen section ( I wish I could fast fwd to the tww ).
Welcome Moloro & Tissa : )
Hi to everyone! I'm finding it hard to play catch up in here sorry. Thanks for the info on OPK makes perfect sense.
Just got the call. My prog is now 8 down from 25, 11 days ago, so it should be here any day now. E2 is 274. So if it comes on the weekend it will be 6 weeks Monday since my d&c which sounds about right. *sigh* Then I have to wait for myself to ovulate hopefully in time for me to do an FET in September so I can do a stim in October if need be. I have 2 weeks holidays in October and while its flexible a week either side if its running into November it could be an issue. I am really tempted to try Vitex to help with ovulation. So basically I am waiting for AF, then waiting to ovulate on my own then waiting in the TWW. UGH!!!
Wow I have a lot to catchup on. Hopefully I can make it to my computer tonight to play catch up. It has been a crazy busy cycle and is not getting any slower. Had my first BT yesterday and everything was good, I go for an US tomorrow to check my lining, it feels so quick because last FET I had like 3 BT before I even looked close to triggering where as this time the higher dose of Gonal-f seems to have done the trick. So FX I get to trigger by the end of the week and then transfer will be next week. I am feeling much more positive this cycle and for no good reason but
Hope I can stay this way. XOXO.

Thanks Juniper! Would you mind putting me in the 2ww (for what it's worth  ) I think I am 1dpo. Ta :)
Wow Mrs Mac, it sounds like its all happening for you. Thats great. I am one of the lucky ones who respond really well to the Gonal F and am ready to go usually at 1st scan. Sounds promising x
n2l - i would prob keep hitting the workbench for the next couple of days. i was under the impression that as long as the ewcm is around, you are in your fertile window. im sure you're all over it anyway... ;)
vic - my cycle took 6 weeks to come back after d&c (missed miscarriage), so i would say you are on track too. im glad your bt showed that af is on the way, gives you some peace of mind to know that things are happening? just not as quickly as you would like... xx
mrs mac - goodluck, sounds like things are going according to plan for you - i think you're in the minority there?!
hi everyone else. :)
afm - scan today, there's a few follicles in there, didnt ask too many questions as trying not to obsess this time around. FS was happy with progress, but will re-scan on friday. started orgalutran today, and will start puregon tomorrow to top up on the elonva. so if things go ok, i guess i will have epu next week some time... i feel a little like mrs mac in that this stim seems to be steam-rolling ahead. im not complaining though, especially if i manage to get a few good eggs.
Mrs Mac and Andie, good to hear your cycles are going well!
Afm, I'm just going to stick my head in the sand for a day or two until I can (hopefully) confirm O with some nice high temps. Our timing isn't so great though. We DTD on the day of the +opk, but not since (ie not O day). DH was a complete **** today, so nothing today either. If I'm right, I should have O'd same day as N2L.

Ah, fiddlesticks!! Today's temp was lower than yesterday's! Both were still in my normal pre-O range, but at the upper end of it (and slightly higher than any other temp in the last fortnight). I was hoping the lap might have sorted out the "slow rise" BS that's been going on since the d&c. Takes me a week to confirm O these days... :wall:
