Hi everyone! So I am day 3 of my puregon and I am already eager for it to be over I start my antagonist on Saturday night but last cycle I used cetrotide and this cycle he has given me orgalutran. I have a few questions, is it ok for orgalutran to have been in the fridge as I kept it altogether in the insulated lunch bag they gave me? And my FS says it is easier than cetrotide, is this true, as I know with cetrotide you have to mix the powder and liquid etc but how is it to inject does it hurt is it a bigger needle than puregon? Sorry for all the questions and I hope there is someone out there that has used all three of these drugs to be able to help me!!
Oh so sorry for your loss glorious xxx words can't even begin to express how you must be feeling at least you had dh there to hold...life can be so cruel...big hugs lovely xxxxx
Oh, glorious! I'm so sorry to hear that. We went through similar last year and it's like someone ripped the world out from under your feet! Please feel free to send me a PM if you ever want someone to talk to one-on-one.
Kel, the orgalutran is pre-mixed, so it's just a matter of injecting. It's not the nicest of needles (a bigger gauge than the FSH so takes some effort to get through the skin) but otherwise simple. It can sting a bit after, but so can the cetrotide. Check with your FS's office, but I don't think it needs to be in the fridge, but does need to be below 30C (so the fridge may be the way to go if the weather is hot). If it's not supposed to be in the fridge, take it out half an hour before use to allow it to reach room temperature (I always had to do that with my synarel during summer cycles).
Afm, after thinking I'd missed my surge on Monday night, I got a +OPK (digi) tonight! First time I've gotten a smiley in months, so hoping it means a good ovulation tomorrow!
Glorious, I'm so sorry hun, sending you all my love and hugs . It's so unfair I'm always here if you want to chat hun, take care of yourself and go gently xx
