Just a reminder to all: all LTers love seeing a fellow LTer achieve that longed-for BFP, and we all find hope in one of our own having success in this difficult journey. But please remember that there are those who cycled with you who may not have received good news at the end of their cycle. Please do not post baby/child/pg tickers or pg related signatures (eg blinking BFP icons) etc in this forum out of respect for them.
As it's easy to forget to remove your ticker, please be advised that we will remove it for you if it's posted in here.
Hi ladies
I just posted a big one but then the thread was closed so I lost it all
Leabie and Emerald ~ thanks for your wishes and support! Im taking chasetree tablets and Im not sure of the other one. I'll have a look tonight. Emerald ~ GL with the jabbing.
Juniper ~ Great to hear your about to start another cycle, GL
Sonyalouise ~ sounding very promising, excellent! The docs do say that you are more fertile after an IVF cycle so I recon you are one of the lucky ones to get pg naturally after IVF
Terry ~ GL in TWW
NicoleD ~Sorry it wasnt your time this round but you'll get there and looks like we will be cycling together in Jan/Feb. Hope the time comes round quick for you.
Sorry for those Ive missed. Hope you are all doing well.
Also im not sure if anyone in here knows Kurby but in case people do, he and Kaz are proud to announce the arrival of Alicia Rose last night. She is unfotunately 2 months prem and has some complications but they are being well looked after at Monash Melb and trying to remain pos and take things one day at a time. xo
Sorry for not coming back the last week - My computer crashed, and I was frantically trying to get it sorted out - and catch up with work....
Thanks everyone for the advice, and good luck to everyone at all the stages you are at.
AF arrived last friday, and was so painful - And I felt so naseous. Was weird, but was full flow... Saw doc on Saturday and she has put me on Yasmin to regulate my cycle (i've been a few days late the last few months) And then I start Lucrin injections on 7th Dec....
Still feeling naseous this week though... Not sure what that is all about...
Juniper76 - Glad to see you back...well you know what I mean...Hopefully this is the one!

Imagine doing the Down reg ? It would seem like aaaaaages!! Don't know how you guys do it.. I'll probably start the orgalutran on Monday as well, so that will be 3 shots a day until EPU.....any way bored you all enough..i'll go now and let someone else get a word in...

Hope you're all travelling well with the jabs, the sniffs & whatever else we have to do for the next couple of weeks!!
I had a blood test yesterday & levels are rising nice & steady so I'm to go in on Wednesday for another BT & scan. I also picked up another lot of drugs to add to my regime, Pregnyl 75. It's the same as the pregnyl booster shots you generally have during the TWW, but it's just drawing a smidgen out in a little needle, it seems such a minescule amount I hope it does what it's supposed to!! (something to do with increasing LH levels). We had friends stay last night so I confirmed with the nurse that it was OK to partake in a glass or two so I felt guilt free whilst sipping my yummy sem sav blanc!!!
Sorry, I'm out of the loop as usual. Work is still crazy busy and I'm having trouble finding more than 5 mins to check in. For example, right now I really should be doing something else, but stuff it... I'm going to be so relieved when Christmas gets here!
So, apologies for no personals, but here's an update on me.
We saw the FS this morning and we can just fit in our cycle before Christmas. But only if AF shows up on (or very close to) 30 Nov. Apparently our FS is on holidays from 19/12 on, but he said he'd come in on 21/12 for our transfer if needs be. But, if AF shows up on time and I need my usual 12 days of stims, we should have EPU around 14/12. He did suggest I may stim quicker with the Orgulantran, but not necessarily.
So, the big changes from our previous 3 cycles:
1. Antagonist protocol - no synarel! Not sure how the orgulantran shots are in comparison to the ones I've done before (puregon, ovidrel, pregnyl), but hopefully there'll only be a few (especially with the $$).
2. I asked about combination FSH/LH meds and he said we may do some low dose hcg starting halfway through the stim phase, but he'd think more about it.
3. We're adding low dose aspirin prior to and after EPU (except for a few days before EPU). He said we could start this now in case we caught an egg this cycle.
4. We may try for blastocyst transfer. That could be difficult if we get our usual crop of 3 decent embies, but DH & I have a couple of weeks to work out what we want. I've been thinking about this for a while and am tempted to try for it in spite of the risk of having nothing to transfer.
Oops, that was more 5 mins, but that was only because work intruded.
Anyone who's done low dose aspirin, when do you take it - morning or night? I didn't think to ask the FS if it mattered.
Ok, my spreadsheet is beckoning... Hopefully I'll have more time tomorrow.
Just thought I would quickly pop in and update you all.... we just had our 1st scan and we have 1 little bubba in there so no twins for us, he, he! I am kinda glad cause was worried about how I would cope... although would have gladly taken it should it have happened!
Thank you all so much for your support . I have been lurking a little and and keeping an eye on you all.... Wishing you all the luck and in the world to achieve your BFP's!
I'm new to this thread, I had been posting on TTC after m/c and then had a bit of a break - Cherished directed me here. Hello Cherished! It's been that long for me too!
I'm hoping for a BFP before the end of the year, because if not, then the next step for us will be IVF or IUI, not sure which at this stage as our next appointment with the FS is early Jan - but I'm hoping I can cancel the appointment before then!
milly5 welcome and hope your stay in here isn't very long. I'm sure you'll find some helpful advice from the ladies in here
Coral73 glad everyhting went well for your scan and good luck for the next 9 mnths I wish you H & H
juniper76 sounds like you have a great plan ahead of you. Sorry cant offer any advice never done the asprin thing myself
littlemissmoo good luck for Wednesday hope you continue to progress well
EmeraldStar thanks for adding me to the list I this is the last one for me. How did your BT go...hope your travelling ok
AFM just waiting had a busy weekend so I was able to keep my mind off what was happening in my belly ( a good thing I think). I'm now 5dpt which means day 7 so I'm hoping my little one latches on in the next few days. Haven't had any signs this time round apart from heartburn when I eat so I'm taking this as a postive too..each other time I've thought something was happening then I got a BFN
I haven't popped in fopr a while. I was expecting to be overwhelmed but it looks like evryone is getting busy. i hope you are all able to take some time out for yourselves.
Liitlemissmoo- Hope everything goes well tomorrow.
Leabie- I am not patient at all and I did have another test, today in fact, I will let you know more about that in the AFM. I am glad I am not the only impatient one out there. I hope you are not finding the TWW too painful.
Terry- Hope you are coping well with TWW. Giving up coffee is a killer! I haven’t got heartburn, but I can not stop burping. It is so ridiculous, I was burping and nauseas from about two days before BFP, which prompted me to take the test.
Loops- Hope you are well and coping ok with the wait.
Juniper- Hope AF shows up soon. Can I ask why you were put on low dose asprin? Have you been diagnosed with a clotting problem? I looked into it because I thought that may be why I have had two miscarriages, but there was no issue. I was so tempted to try it anyway just in case it helped with blood flow.
Coral- Great to hear from you, how exciting to get to the scan stage and finally see it all happening. What forum are you on now? I am not sure where i am supposed to go now that I have had a positive result.
Milly- I have my fingers crossed for you.
Emerald- You can leave me on the list!!! I hope your poor tummy copes with all those injections. I was on two a day and towards the end I was so tender.
Hi to anyone I missed and to all those lurkers out there.
AFM I had another blood test today because I just couldn’t wait until Monday to see how everything is progressing. The good news is HCG is 1325, The annoying news is my scan has been shifted to next Thursday. I really think I am going to go insane! They are all still a bit unsure about what is going on so I am trying not to get too excited. I am also terrified of another MC so everyday is a plus. I have never actually made it to the 7 week scan. I am feeling positive though.
Hope you're all well, have been lurking the last few days, just trying to ride out the 2WW.
Loops12 - thanks for the info. I'm taking chastetree too, hopefully its helping us, right?! Hope you're doing well.
Babytruj - sorry AF was horrendous. Had that last AF after a cancelled IUI. Hope you're feeling better soon, and that your cycles sort themselves out.
Juniper76 - fingers crossed that AF turns up by the 30th! I'm on aspirin (taking Cartia), I take it in the morning, only because I take 10 tablets at night, and only 8 in the morning, so slotted it in the morning bunch! I don't know if it matters what time you take it, I would assume that the most important thing is to take it at the same time? I'm taking it as I have ANA, is that the same for you?
Coral73 - congratulations! A heartbeat... how beautiful to see! Hope you have a great 9 months, and everything goes swimmingly!
Milly5 - hope everything goes well for you and you don't have to make that FS appointment in January! Even if you do, you'll get lots of support in this forum.
Sonyalouise - sooo excited for you. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly. Bummer the scan has been shifted, stay positive though sweetie! They'll work out whats going on.
Hi to everyone I've missed!
AFM - having a bit of a sucky 2WW, sore BBs and cramping, but hey, you get that. Got 9 days til the BT, seems like forever away at this stage!
Leabie 9 days does seem like forever I've got roughly the same amount to go. Cramping might be a good sign that its implanting so
sonyalouise I know we get impatient sometimes and it's good that your staying positive just remeber just because it happened once doesn't mean it will happen again
AFM still feeling quite normal noticed yersterday that some of my veins are popping up around my chest and BB's hope this is good. Today its actually quite a cool day in Melb at the moment and I sit under an air con but I am sweating as if its was 40 degrees starting to go a bit crazy thinking could my hormones be rising? I've been hot since jumping out of the shower so hot that I turned the air con on at home at 7 in the morning
sonyalouise, I had blood taken last Friday to test for clotting disorders, but we don't have the results yet. He said we'd add the aspirin anyway since it might help and won't hurt. We decided against adding the prednisone without a diagnosed problem at this stage given the potential s/e. Sorry to hear your scan has been shifted. I hope the next week goes very quickly for you!
Leabie, I got the Cartia too. I followed a similar philosophy - was taking one less tablet at night so added it then. The information in the pack just says to take it at the same time every day. As I said above, I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, but we should have the b/t results by the time we next see the FS.
Hi guys... i havent posted in this thread for ages now..... so just thought i would re-introduce myself and hopefully get to know you guys real soon
My name is Nikki (obviously lol)... We have been TTC for almost 4 years now ... (we already have one DD) ... I have had 2 BFN IVF cycles..... 2 laparoscopies and need a 3rd next year to remove my endo ... I have severe Endo which was a complete surprise to us as my first lap we got told my tubes were blocked (which they arent)
We will be trying naturally till after my endo operation then we'll start our FET cycle which will be probably mid next year as DF and i are getting married in March
Babytruj ~ Sorry about your AF! GL with your next cycle though.
Emerald ~ Hoping all is well with your meds. Good to see you getting excited for your EPU. Hugs
Littlemiss ~ GL with your meds etc.
Juniper ~ Hope you get to do your full cycle in Dec. FX and GL!!
Coral ~ So happy you have your 1 special little bubba. All the best! Hugs
Nikki ~ Hi and welcome GL with the endo and natural cycle plus getting your wedding organised. Least you will have plenty to keep you busy and your mind occupied.
Milly ~ Hi and welcome. So sorry about your m/c - Hugs. I truly hope you get a natural BFP very soon and then you dont need to worry about seeing a FS.
Terry ~ Hope you're enjoying being PUPO. Sounding like promising signs
Sonyalouise ~ Thanks for asking im well. Trying to keep busy so Jan/Feb will come soon. So happy your HCG is rising, stay pos and FX and sticky vibes coming your way!
Leabie ~ No probs. The other stuff im taking is Chinamed - which contains a few diff chinese herbs - fertility support. Hope you're doing ok in TWW. GL &FX
Hi to all and wishing you the very best. (((Group Hugs)))
Im just patiently waiting until Feb for IVF but still constantly hoping for a natural BFP, because you just never know. I hope i get a BFP soon though as im starting to get depressed especially due to the fact that babies seem to be everywhere at the moment - all my friends and family.
Thanks for listening everyone xoxo
Juniper, I am taking Cartia for the first time this cycle (as well as Prednisone and clexane). My EPU is now booked for this Friday. My FS has told me to take all 3 at the same time - in the morning. I don't know if it matters whether it is night or day; probably more so that you take it at the same time each day, as the instructions say.
I'm not looking forward to the EPU. I hate going under. I feel so sick in the stomach with nerves before they wheel you into surgery. ET is not pleasant either, but the thing I handle the worst is the dreaded TWW. I drive myself mad - not to mention my partner
I started taking aspirin this cycle and found that i bled more than usual from my blood test... i recommend taking the aspirin after the blood test so it has 24 hours to go thru your system before the next test. For example. I get my BT done at 7am, so I recommend taking the aspirin at 7.15am every morning... just a thought.
Just popping in to say hi as it has been a long time since I have posted. Despite this I have been lurking from time to time to see how everyone is going.
I notice a few newbies - welcome and I hope that your time in this forum is short!
emerald star - thanks for generating the Hall of Fame. It's good to see so many BFP's especially ladies from this forum.
AFM ~ given up on TTC for 2009 - will pick up again in Jan 2010. Just kicking back and enjoying life especially as the silly season approaches.
