Beau - You cracked me up with your story! Of course while you're there it's not funny what so ever... We'll get it right one day! Last two times my bladder was massively full too, drank 500 ml and forgot about the 300 ml glass of milk I had just before that!! But they were able to see it then, now I drank less and they struggled... Did go to acupuncture, but it was done by her husband! He's good too!

Hi everyone thought it was time to put myself back in here.
Juniper can you put me day 12 doing natural cycles using clomid.
Had a scan yesterday and the clomid has helped and I have about 6 follicles going on but one is 19mm and others are around 14mm so she thinks that one will be the one that pops probably sun/mon. Have our schedule for this weekend to try and catch it so dh and I get to have some fun and get our jiggy on lol.

AFM, started FSH last Friday, blood test tomorrow and scan on Thursday. All going well so far but nervous about getting past the scan stage as that's where it all fell apart for me last cycle. FX it all goes to plan this time.

In the latest saga of my stupid body, I have been in terrible pain for over 12 hours now. Don't know if it is my uterus or ovaries but it feels like after an egg collection or a lap :(
It is right across my lower abdomen.
I've left work early. In bed with heat bag. The hour long drive home hurt so much I was crying.
Too early for AF (and no bleeding) and too early for ovulation. What is it????
I hate my body :(
Faye, I have my first scan on Thursday too, so FX for both of us! I started stims on Wednesday, but we're doing IUI, not IVF (and I'm a poor responder, so kind of the opposite of your OHSS last time).
N2L, that sounds awful, hun. Have you called your Dr's office about it? Hope it goes away soon. :(

Not sure if anyone stalked but I got a letter for an appointment next Monday for the long awaited laparoscopy! we had been put on the waiting list because of not being able to conceive. of course since then we have had the mc and are still trying. af is due either Sunday or Monday and I don't know if they can still do the procedure if I am on. It's actually dye studies and d&c as well as the lap. anyway I phoned to talk to them and explained about af and that we are still trying and might be pregnant. the lady I spoke to said she will get someone to call me back.

Kbudgie my first lap with hysteroscopy I was due for AF and they said it wasn't going to matter... Can't remember now if I ended up having it or not as the lap was 12 months ago. Obviously could be a different story if you end up being pregnant... Good luck and I hope you get the answers you need.
I had a lap and hysteroscopy during AF, so there shouldn't be any medical reason why not (my FS said it was perfect timing for checking for endo). When you say "dye studies", do you mean a HSG? You wouldn't be able to do that during AF. It has to be after AF finishes. I would have thought doing the d&c should be fine, but I don't know for sure. Of course, you definitely need to confirm you are not pg before proceeding with any of it...

I'm in a good place despite the BFN, no point in dwelling on it, I've started acupuncture and TCM which I"m hopeful about. He wants me to wait 2 months until my next transfer, I think it might be a good idea so my body can recover after the stim cycle, I think that is why our little emby didn't stick because I was still uncomfortable from EPU. I only have 2 frosties so want to give them the best chance possible by making sure my body is in the best condition!
AF arrived for me too today. :(

Just had my scan, on the verge of another cancelled cycle. 22 follicles but still quite small, re-scan on Monday then most likely a blood test to check for OHSS... Just barely holding it together...
Oh no Faye... Sending you big hugs! Are you trying to keep up your fluids and take loads of extra protein??? I drank lots of extra milk and special shakes. They recommended drinking at least 3 litres of fluids a day to prevent too many follicles forming. They started telling me this when I had about 10 little follicles, and ended up with about 16 follicles. Are you on metformin? I was given that 2 months or so before I started IVF, as I do seem to have quite a few follicles, with little stimulation. Fingers crossed no more follicles will form!

Afm, my scan showed 4 measurable follicles - 10mm, 14mm, 18mm & 19mm. The first 3 were on the right and the 19mm on the left. I thought I spotted maybe another small one on the left, but we had a lot of trouble getting a look at the left (as usual). I even had to help by pushing a button on the u/s to take the picture while he pressed down on my abdomen to get the ovary in view. Apparently, measuring follicles on my left ovary is a 2-man job! ;) Trigger is Saturday night (to try to let the 14mm one catch up) and then IUI on Monday. I feel like I'm throwing caution to the wind potentially triggering with 4 mature follicles (if the 10mm catches up), even though I know our chance of a BFP is only 6-7% (and odds of twins is about 0.35% and even lower for higher order multiples).

me4ever - No I've never heard that advice before and I must admit I am hopeless when it comes to drinking enough fluids. Do you think it's too late to make a difference for this cycle? What is the metformin for?
Hi Faye, I don't think it's ever too late to start your fluids! Start today! I drank special protein drinks from supermarkets. They've got different brands, just check which ones have got the most protein per 100 ml. (Don't buy the sports drinks ones...) Milk, yoghurt and other milk products are fine too! Will also make you feel a bit more comfy, as your ovaries must be getting pretty sore by now?! At least 3 litres of fluids a day. (Coffee, tea don't count...) The metformin is officially a medication for people with diabetes, but it's also used for people with PCOS or in general anyone that seems to respond with lots of follicles with IVF, even if they don't get a high dose of the stimulating meds. I don't have PCOS, but sometimes had more than 1 big follicle during ovulation tracking without medication. To get better quality follicles/eggs and less my FS started me on metformin, 3 tablets a day. Hope this helps!

I don't think it can make it worse. The clinic urged me to drink at least 3 litres a day. I thought I was struggling getting up to 2.7 litres, then found out the glasses I used weren't 200 ml, but 300 ml, so was drinking more than 3 litres... I kept a list of how much I drank a day to see if I made it to the right amount! Good luck! I sent you a pm!
