busy: hugs 4 u, horrible AF, we do hate her.
twomums: good luck maybe new sperm donor might make the difference, good luck, fingers crossed and all that.

lani: so sorry, maybe good news on fri, good luck
brisvega: IGNORE ALL SYMTOMS is all i can say they just make you more crazy, well o.k they make me crazy, i overanalyse evereything, good luck to you , fingers crossed.

if i forgot to say hi sorry, been away for a few days and so much happening.

AFM: well all seems well, i had my FET on friday and now i am in the TWW. we took off up the coast for 4 nights camping, was fun, had very relaxing time. except i got sea sick on last day then had to drive back home 3 hrs feeling yuk all way, wasn't nice.
i'm taking the day off school today as i have a big head ache, i feel wasted, DH said it is early morning sickness ( i wish !)

i am taking pregnyl, i had to do one on sat morn, then tue morn and again i'll have to do one on fri morn, OUCH !.
i don't even think of testing as i know pregnyl gives a false pos reading. so prob earliest i could test would be on next tue (17th march).
this will be day 31 and usually pregnly would be out of system aft 3 - 4 days.

don't have any symtoms yet? but have learnt to ignore them anyway. i've got everything crossed and lots of prayers too.

    Hi Jaxi,
I too have slight PCOS tendencies, my first cycle produced 20+ follies on FSH 225, (I started off on a higher dose as my baseline FSH level at Day 3 was 12, which is very high). My E2 levels at Day 8 of injections were 26,000. This cycle was cancelled. My second cycle at 125 FSH by Day 8 I again had 20+ follies, by Day 12 my E2 was 22,500, I went to EPU but no ET due to fear of OHSS. 19 eggs were retrieved and 15 fertilised, all were frozen at Day 1. In hindsight I wish I had have know enough to have them all grown to blastocyst and frozen, as I fully believe that the very high E2 levels at EPU compromised the quality of the embies, they were all very slow growing, only 5 or 6 cell by Day 3, and all had moderate fragmentation. I did 3 FETs with these embies all BFN.

However please keep in mind I have done 2 following stim cycles with lower follie numbers and had 3 and 4 great blasties respectively by Day 5, all of good quality, but still another 2 BFNs (so maybe it is me, not my follies). I have 3 in the freezer.

I think with PCOS also, it is possible to have a large number of follies however they may not all contain an egg, or a mature egg. The more mature the egg, the more E2 it will produce so if your E2 levels are also high, this will likely mean that you will get more eggs. I hope this makes sense and is of some help. GL for your next scan.

TwoMums, have a look back over the last 2 months of the TWW thread, the very lovely Neptune I believe had her IVF cycle converted to IUI and is now pregnant. I have seen quite a few others where this has happened, or where they have gone to EPU with only 3 or 4 follies and ended up with a BFP. Best of luck.

Brisvegas, my temp is always low until ovulation, I think that is pretty standard, so your temps should be low until you take the trigger and introduce prog. GL

Lani, I hope your BT on Friday shows you something more.

    Hi to everyone else.

I am feeling a little low today, eventhough I O'd very early Monday morning, I have only had a slight rise in temps, I am obsessive about charting, and wondering why my temps have not gone up, I am on Crinone 1 x day, I wonder if I sould up this dose just in case. Any thoughts?

Have a great day everyone. Hugs.

    Hello lovely ladies

Hope i can join in..... I have been lurking for a while but was waiting to start my first IVF cycle before i jumped in! Some of you may know me from the IUI thread and the 12+month thread.

    Quick history...
I am waiting for AF to arrive to begin our first IVF cycle (antagonist cycle) i'm CD36 so hopefully any day now - We are very excited but also scared!
We had a BFN after a very promising down reg IUI cycle just before christmas which i took very hard - we have had a nice break and i'm now on naturopathic herbs and feel more human than i have in the past 2 yrs!!! Hoping and praying this will be it - my best friend is pregnant with her second and is due on my birthday in May so i'm being selfish and praying i'll be pregnant before she gives birth as i know i will then handle it better .

Will attempt to say hi to everyone...

JBM - GL will be praying hard for you during your TWW xx
Jaxi - Wow 30 follies - can't offer much advice but from reading this forum for a while make sure you take care xx
Lani - praying that Friday will bring you good news - i had a hcg reading of 6.8 after my last IUI but AF arrived the day after the BT but fingers crossed for you!
Two mums - when do you have another scan? - as others have said there have been plenty of people around who had only one egg or converted to II with BFP - so stay strong and positive.
Babydream - when will be your ET - good luck
Busy - sorry to hear AF arrived - if i had been told i couldn't start again til now after my BFN in Dec i would have screamed but the break has been a blessing in disguise - so look after yourself and treat yourself!
    Hi to sazz and brisvegas

Look forward to getting to know you all much better. BB has been a lifesaver to me in the past!!!

Busy - so sorry AF arrived. Thinking of you x

Lani - so sorry for your negtive. Thinking of you also

    and welcome to the newbies.

AFM - On CD35 natural cycle this time and AF still hasnt come but I did do a POAS yesterday and it was BFN so just waiting now so that I can start IUI round. I think my body is all messed up though as I havent really had many symptoms that AF is coming. Probably the last Pregnyl injections have stuffed up my cycle.

    for everyone

Thanks for that info Baby Dreamtime. I'm actually already terrified of the prospects of a cancelled cycle. I'm feeling so bloated and crampy and am concerned that I have OHSS but I'm supposed to call the FC at 2pm to get results of my BT which will give me a better idea of what's going on. A friend at work just announced her pregnancy (first try and a BFP) and it just makes me all the more impatient!!!!!

JBM, wishing you all the best hun. Hope this is your cycle.

bella, welcome. I'm currently in the middle of my first IVF/ICSI cycle so looks like we're novices together. Wishing you all the best too!

Bella - we have another scan on Friday. We are still on the 300iu of GonalF and Lucrin, so maybe a miracle will occure and we'll get more than 4 follies, but Dr said at this stage he thinks he might pull the pin and do an IUI. Decision will be made on Friday about trigger/IUI/IVF. I am almost tempted to do the IVF if we have 4 follicles. But then if none fertilise we will have wasted our money on the IVF. Would feel a bit better to do the egg pick up if there were a few more follies. We can do the IUI and if it works cool, we'll save our IVF money. If it doesnt the money is still there to do another IVF cycle.

    Good afternoon girls,

Just popping in to say HI. Have been in TWW which seems like FOREVER! I buckled and did a poas last night and this morning and got a positive result Im trying to keep a lid on it until I get confirmation on Friday when I have my blood test. It cant some quick enough!!!!

Busy - sorry to hear your news. Hope your doing ok.

BDT - sorry I dont have any thoughts about the crinone as Ive only done all fresh transfers. Hope all goes well on Saturday

Loops - hope AF arrives soon so you can start your IUI.

Bella - Hello and welcome Lots of advice and support here for you when you need it. Good luck with your upcoming cycle.

Jaxi - sorry cant offer you any advice as Ive only had small numbers with my cycles. Hope your call today gives you some more insight.

Twomums - from the sound of things, an IUI is the better option. Ive only ever had a small number of eggs as I only have 1 ovary so have proceeded anyway risking none of them fertilising and then wasting our money. However, it only takes 1 egg!

Brisvegas - I cant recall any discharge during my cycles, but thats not to say it wasnt there! Hope the synarel is working. GL

Lani - sorry to hear your news. Hope its not an ectopic pregnancy. Thinking of you.

JBM - hello my fellow TWWaiter! Hope your doing well and arent going TOO crazy!

    to anyone I have missed.

Hey Lani. Trying to PM you but there's no option to PM you available yet. Does anyone know how many posts you need before this function becomes available?

MissMagpie - looking good hun! Keeping everything crossed for you.

Spoke to the FC yesterday arvo and they confirmed my BT showed all good results and they are not at all concerned about the high number of follies now. They told me the FS's words were "everything is going fantastically well" so I'm feeling much better today although very tender in the lower pelvic region! My puregon dosage has now gone down to 100ml and I will go back in for another ultrasound tomorrow at which point they will probably lower my dosage again.

Debating whether or not to start AC at this point. Have I left it too late? Any advice??

    Hi Jaxi,

If you mean acupuncture you haven't left it too late, the most important treatment is on the day of the transfer.

Jaxi - I have read alot of clinical trials and the most success is doing AC on the day of Embryo Transfer. You can do it during Stims if you aren't having success, but I think you have enough follies there to avoid sticking anymore needles than necessary during the stims phase!!!

Miss Magpie - Well done! All the best for your blood test! So happy for you!

JBM - Yay you have embies on board! Hope you have a fast TWW and a Sticky BFP!!

Hi to all you girls - Well one more sleep until we have a final decision scan. Everything is still the same, 300iu a day until tomorrow...
