WOW I've been so nervous thinking about the epu (I don't do well with general anaesthetic) but now knowing there are a few of us having epu on Wed (or thereabouts) it's actually quite comforting. At this stage not so sure whether I'll be on the 2ww with you ladies tho as I've apparently had a stomach bug going through me the last few days and now the FS says he'll have to decide after epu whether to proceed with embryo impantation or hold it off for a month until my body is clear of any virus. Anyone know the success rates of 3-5 day transfer as opposed to frozen embryo transfer? I'm assuming that's what FET stands for!? Again, the novice in me appears!

Jaxi - I think you might be well enough by the end of next week. Are you going to have a 3 day transfer or blast transfer? It might be Monday when you go for embryo transfer. Eitherway I would try for a fresh transfer, but your FS knows best. Re the general anaesthetic, it is only a very light general, morelike a twilight sedation, although you are asleep and you wont remember anything, so you shouldnt experience the problems you have with general anaesthetic for more full on surgery. Just wake up a bit drowsy is all.

Not sure what the plan is for the transfer. I understand blasts have the highest success rate??
btw just noticed my mood has been stuck on "crappy" and I can't seem to find the mood option tab anywhere. Is it just my comp or has it disappeared? I promise I'm not ALWAYS in a crappy mood lol

Hi Everyone,

Well my nausea wore off mid afternoon yesterday and we went ahead with the trigger last night at 10:30pm. I followed all of the tricks my friends gave me and ended up feeling no pain at all with the needle or the substance going in with the Ovidrel. Was as easy as Puregon. I was watching the clock leading up to the time and getting very nervous - but was all cool in the end.

Have spent most of today in bed relaxing and hoping for the best. I just want to make it to my EPU tomorrow morning. I'll be happy with that. Looking forward to the twilight GA. I usually get sick with those injections too, but have had a twilight before and was fine.

Bella - good luck with it all. If you suffer with snorting the Synarel like I did and need some tips on how to make it easier let me know :-)

Jaxi - I agree with Twomums. I think you will feel better by the end of the week. You FS will guide you accordingly. Hope you are feeling better overall. My FS has chosen blastie for me which will be Saturday. Although he's only putting on back since I am borderline OHSS.

Sun-flower - get back on that horse girlfriend. Fingers crossed for this next cycle.

Big week for some of us with EPU's. Here's hoping for lots of juicy fertilised eggs!!!

AFM I had BT repeated on Friday and clinic advised that it is a negative, so we are starting another cycle straight away, I have first BT on Tuesday and if all goes to plan transfer should be about 25 March. Me and DH are contemplating have 2 transferred this cycle. Does anyone have advise on transfer of more than 1? Am also planning Acupuncture with this cycle.

If I have missed anyone on the personals I wish you all .

Laniwantsababy we are having 2 put back. We had a failed stim cycle then all our little embies didn't even thaw even though they were the best quality embryo's so I asked for 2 and they agreed. I would rather risk a twin pregnancy than freezing them and they don't thaw again.

My FS is very supportive and we talked about all the pro's and con's. I will be happt to BFP with one but two would be awesome so let's just wait and see.

Hi Everyone

Been very busy and popping in for quick looks but no updates of late. Have been watching in on everyone with great interest though - there's a lot of activity. About to start synarel on Tuesday and nervous about that but excited about getting started too.

Flying home to Oz in 3 weeks to start injections etc and feeling positive about it now. I wrote an email to my siblings a few days ago to let them know we were coming home to start treatment and had a really good cry whilst doing that as it suddenly dawned on me that this is actually happening. I think up until that point I really thought we would get our natural BFP and none of this would be happening. But we haven't and we are coming home to do IVF - writing that email certainly made it all sink in.

TwoMums - congrats on being able to stick with IVF and good luck for your EPU on Wed!

B2B- Hope the acupuncture is okay. I have been doing Acu for a couple of months now and whilst it hasn't got me a BFP so far I always come away feeling very relaxed. I hope it does the same for you.

Laniwantsababy - hope that your FS is supportive of your wish to have 2 transferred if that's what you feel is best. GL!

BrisvegasEndo - good luck for your EPU tomorrow - here's hoping you get lots of juicy follies!

Hi everyone.
I saw FS on Thursday re bub#2 and have started OCP. Lucrin injections start in 2 or 3 weeks (will get my program tomorrow). I am now quickly weaning bub #1 who is only 6 months old and I'm feeling very sad about that. I really want more children if at all possible and because of severe endo my chances are better sooner rather than later. I am also excited about starting the IVF rollercoaster again.
I found this forum to be very supportive last time so I will join you all again on this journey!

Thanks TwoMums. something appears to be wrong with my monitor. The option to change my mood is simply no longer there. I know it used to be. Perhaps it's the browser I'm using!?!!?

Lani, DH and I would love to try for twins but our FS is very much against it for the first IVF cycle. We'll see how we go with one this time and if there is a next time we may bring up the topic of two again (hoping there isn't a next time though).

Bella - WOOHOOO on starting the injections. So funny how excited we get at the prospect of injecting!!!!

BrisVegas - it's all happening! Glad you're feeling better and wishing you all the best for your EPU. You'll have to give me tips for the trigger. I just picked up my drugs this morning but probably wont be ready to trigger till tomorrow night. Just waiting for the final confirmation from the FS. Has a bunch of follies at 15mm and a couple already at 18mm this morning and they want to give them another day before triggering which will mean trigger tomorrow night and epu Thur. I'll have one more ultrasound tomorrow morning just to be sure.

Jaxi, you now need to be a Platinum Member to be able to change your mood, they stopped it a little while ago due to server issues. If you email BB and ask then to set it to a neutral mood they should be able to do it. GL with your EPU, do you have a scan today, hope you are ready to trigger.

Jbub, GL with your cycle, I hope it is a BFP for your first up like your last one, but also hope none of the difficulties.

KMond, yay, how exciting to be starting your cycle, GL with sniffing and hope your cycle goes well, will be cheering you on.

Lani, I am like you, I would love twins, and would rather take the chance and up my odds by transferring 2. GL with your FS and it is great that you are getting straight back into your next cycle.

Thank you for your help re the mood. I was wondering what the deal there was. I did have an ultrasound this morning and all is looking good. Quite a few 15mm follies and a couple already at 18 so they want to give it another day for the 15mm follies to grow a little before I trigger. They estimated this morning that they should be able to get at least 15 eggs which is exciting! I have another ultrasound tomorrow morning before they give me the trigger go ahead.

It's been a really looooooong time since I was on here. I only really recognise one name, Smithy how are ya hun ? I'm hoping this means that the others all got their dreams!

How is everybody doing? Not quite the newbie but forgotten a lot. It might take me a while to get around to personals.

So since last time I was on here I have turned the big 3-0 and 3 weeks ago I married my sweetheart! AF arrived on Sat I have never been so happy to see the old witch! Started pill popping so here we go!

Question, does anybody know if it's safe to get the Fluvax whilst doing IVF?
