    Hi all

Laniwantsababy - GL for your transfer coming up. Yes I did another POAS and it was another BFN. After talking to lots of different people lately I realise that it is 99% approx. of it being due to the Puregon and Pregnyl in last IUI cycle. Have heard stories of people even getting up to CD55, im on CD40 today.

    BDT - GL in TWW

All the very best to everyone and

Tania - I think I have already said so but CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP!

Miss Magpie - That is absolutely fabulous news!!!!!! All the best for a H&H pregnancy. Hope to be joining you in a couple of weeks. You really helped me through the low egg numbers drama and gave me hope! Just goes to show it DOES only take one eggie!

As for us, we had our scan and the dr said there is still 7 follies (the big one that is probably a cyst he said) and 6 others that are all the right size and so he said to trigger tonight!!! We have the Ovidrel shot, but also 5000iu of pregnyl. He said that he wanted to make sure that the eggs fell away from the side of the wall of the follicle well and truely. He has been doing it more and more with women who are a little on the chubby side with great success. I'm not questioning the master!! Her E2 is 3391 today so it is great for 6 follicles.

    Afternoon Everyone,

Well change of plans. EPU is going to be Friday which will mean T/F next Wed.

I feel like I am going to explode so it will be interesting to see how many eggs we get this time. Although I do hope that this is better.

How did everyone else go with their BT & U/S today ???

FC just called. They want me to do one last puregon injection tonight (25ml only) and come back in tomorrow for a BT and U/S and they are almost definite they'll get me to trigger tomorrow.
Can anyone tell me what to expect for the EPU? Will I be sore afterwards? I guess it differs for everyone but I'm still interested in everyone's experiences.

Jaxi - I have only had 1 previous cycle. Mine was a light anaesthetic so I was a little tired for the next couple of days. As for soreness not too much, a little discomfort but panadol was all i needed. I am still more uncomfortable this time so also have no idea what to expect.

We will just have to compare notes.

Hi Jaxi, for my past 3 EPUs I have always had a general, I normally have at least 2 days off afterwards to recover, I find the more follies you have the more tender you are, as they are piercing the wall of the vagina and each individual follie to retrieve the egg, the more follies, the more piercings. The most I had was 19 follies, I was sorest then, bleed a little for a day or two, but found the pain very managable with Panadol, and just felt tenderness when sneezing, laughing or moving quickly. But everyone is different. You will be fine, best of luck, x

    Hi everyone,

Just had my second day of jabbing! I called the FC to let them know AF had arrived on Sat and to book in for my first B/T and U/S. It should be CD9 but that falls on a Sun so it will be Sat but instead of being able to go to my clinic (it's closed on a Sat as well - which i didn't know!) i have to go ages away to another one - not a major issue but it's a longer drive and i will see one of their nurses not the one i have already built up rapport with - anyway i don't have a choice so i best suck it up and get over it!!!

Jaxi - how exciting you are so close! - will love to hear your experience with EPU - being my first cycle also i'm a little nervous about that bit!

Rob - your getting there! Hope you don't burst take care.

Loops - still no AF , i'm praying for you - it's frustrating isn't it!!

Twomums - great your triggering tonight GL for EPU XX

Missmagpie - WOW CONGRATS - WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST XX

Bride of chucky - GL starting your cycle hope you get that BFP - no fluvax -

Babydream - congrats on your transfer -

Loula - Yes just a short antagonist cycle for me - very glad no syneral this time! Hope you are resting and detoxing!

Hello to everyone else - thinking and for you all!

I have worked a morning shift this morning about to have a sleep and go back for night shift

    Take care

Hi girls. It's me - BrisvegasEndo. since my endo is under control I wanted my name to be more reflective.

No wonder I woke up really sore this morning! All 16 of my follicles contained matured eggs. Man, I was walking like a pregnant woman! At EPU this morning they said they were all good enough to keep and didn't discard any. So now we wait with baited breath to see how they fertilise overnight and following that if they make it to Blastocyst.

    That's the good the news!

The bad news is that because I produced so many they don't want to risk implanting even one due to possibility of OHSS. I'm good with that. They also don't want to risk my next cycle either, so now we wait till May for FET. I am going to use the time to get my system back to normal and spend some well overdue time at the gym strengthening my core.

Bella55 - good luck with your cycle. Everytime I get cranky with the IVF process I just think of the possibilities of a precious little baby and then it all fades away.

Jaxi - I'm just hours out of my first EPU as we speak. There is tenderness and spotting. Plus I'm constipated, so trying a little pear juice to help out there. As for the Ovidrel trigger try this..........take the injection out of the fridge about half an hour before administering, and instead of using a frozen 50 cent piece to numb the site of injection, go for a freezer brick (like the ones used in esky's, or something of similar size) and use for 1 minute. I did both of these and didn't feel the needle or the solution. It was great! Nothing to fear. Good luck with it.

Babydreamtime - I'm thinking of you and hoping for BFP. My husband and I are currently house hunting down on the Goldy. Perhaps when we move down you and I can hook up for a coffee?

MissMagpie - such amazing news. Huge congratulations. Hopefully the rest of us are not far behind you......

Twomums - good luck triggering. Thinking of you both. There were 2 mums at EPU today which made me think of you. They were honestly beaming from ear to ear. Their positivity was very contagious.

    BrideofChucky - welcome back!

Hears hoping for a nice night for us all with painless triggers and not much tenderness around the abdomens.

    Take care

    Hi Girls,

Im hoping that i can join your thread. I've been chatting on belly belly on and off for about a year..joined in on the 6month and less TTC, then it was the 6month+ TTC and now im into the Longterm TTC. I've kind of bounced from one thread to another.

My partner and i have have been trying now for about 18 months. No pregnancy, no miscarriages, no nothing. We had our first cycle of IUI last month on a natural cycle with a BFN. We have now decided to jump straight into IVF.

I can see most of you are going through IVF treatments at the moment. We are starting cycle #1 IVF in April..im really nervous as i dont know what to expect. Can anymore share their stories and give me some piece of mind.

I live in Adelaide and we are going through Repromed. They have been really great. Anyone else dealing with Repromed?

    Cheers
    xo

    Hi Jodes,

to the thread. I am incountry SA and also using Repromed.

They are great, as you can see we do have some children but wanted more and I had looked into two places here and they didn't judge us on the fact we were seeking IVF even though we had kids already which was nice but the other place were basically like aren';t you happy with what you've got.

I am going for EPU (Egg Pick Up) this Friday and then will transfer hopefully next Wed. This is only my 2nd cycle. My first failed and none of our embies thawed for the frozen transfer so here we go again. All I can say is some advice I was given is don't expect anything.

Both my cycles have been very different so if you have no expectation you won't fall as far. I hope that makes sense. It's hard not to get excited I am cronic for it but we will just see.

Who knows maybe we can catch up one day in town.

You are in the right place, everyone here is just great. You can ask anything and everyone will all do our best to help answer and even when you think you are on your own you really aren't.

Take care and lot's of luck.

    Hi Jodes,

I am also in Adelaide at Repromed. I didnt know what to expect - no matter how much literature you read or what people tell you I find the experience of living through something is always different. The staff are really good at the clinic and do everything to make you feel relaxed - The stim cycle is pretty straight forward, blood tests and ultrasounds up until ovulation. The injections I also found ok (I am not the least bit sqeamish). I was a bit achy on the day of egg collection but ok to go back to work the following day. Embryo transfer first time was a little tricky as my cervix was tight and made it difficult to put the catheter in. The only thing I would say is - say no to taking home a picture of your embryo! I found this very distressing the first time I had an ET as I attached a lot of emotion to this picture and when the embryo didnt take I was very very upset. The second transfer I refused the picture, but in general coped much better the second time (natural FET cycle). I came very close the second time (chemical pregnancy) so was very buoyed by the result. The FS says I had a very good result (despite the fact of not falling pregnant!) and responded well to the drugs. I hope you have a great result too!

The worse thing I found with the first stim cycle was the crinone (progesterone cream) I think I was so PMS for the full 2 weeks after! Again the 2ww is the worse - you KNOW there is an embryo in there and you cant but help obsess about its attachment!

Good luck! I am either going to have a another FET (if it survives the thaw) or going to go through another stim cycle soon too, so let us know how you go!

    cheers
    BG

    Morning peoples!

Thanks to those who have made me feel very re-welcomed! Am doing a name change as I know someone who may be joining the thread soon and will recognise my ID. Don't know if they've processed it yet or not. BTW anyone know how to edit the mood tab? Can't seem to get it working.

Miss Magpie: FANTASTIC news! wishng you a H&H 9mths!

To those doing their EPUs and generally being poked, prodded and tested this week

    To any TWWers

AFM Day 4 of pill popping and at about 3am this morning reality hit me like a ton of bricks about the hugeness of what we are undertaking. I have been awake since and I am so nervous/anxious I could climb the walls and it's only Day 4! God help me when we get to the big stuff!

FS seems to think I will OHSS first few times due to the PCOS & just basically being newbies. Any tips on how to avoid this one?

Hope everyone has a great day. I'm off to pick up my Synarel and some footy tickets for DH. Catch you all later!
