Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014

    Hi all,

    Sorry I've been MIA -

Miss B how are you going in the 2ww - I've been thinking of you a hundred times a day and hope you are feeling something positive!

Juniper thank you so mug for keeping the list up to date! It's such a huge job and I'm really grateful to you for keeping everyone up to date! How are you going in the 2ww - you are almost at the end of your wait! I so have everything crossed for you that you get your bfp, I think you are the perfect person to kick of a good luck streak in here Have you tested yet? Will you be testing?

Positively - I'm so sorry to hear of your bfn sending big hugs.... It must be so tough for you with your SIL being 22 weeks pg.... Hopefully she is the empathetic kind and if she knows of your and DH situation, then she will show you some love and comfort. If she's in her own world, I hope you survive seeing her, I know it must be really tough being confronted with a baby being on it's way into your family. But you have something to look forward to with a FET coming up!! Yay! I have everything crossed that all goes well for you and you'll be sharing being pg with your SIL

Joski - so frustrating... Waiting waiting... It sucks that when you really want O to happen, it always takes it's sweet time! Hopefully Sunday's BT will give you a big fat go for it.... And since it's DH's bday it's a good time to Bd like mad and make sure there are lots of little sperms waiting to catch your egg when it's finally set free

TT40 - wow nothing like waiting for the phone to ring! Personally, I'd be calling any number I had for your clinic. It's definitely an emergency if you haven't called at least it's saturday morning now and you can call? I have everything crossed for you that the result is positive.... It sounds as though you've had some encouraging symptoms? Have you POAS at home yet?

I hope I haven't missed anyone... It's pretty early in Perth (it's still dark!)

AFM - I did the trigger injection on Tuesday night. I requested ovidrel as even though it's more expensive it's already mixed up and ready to inject in one of those pen things... I always feel like I'm going to screw up the missing it up bit, get something wrong or knock it off the bench! I woke up Wednesday with a shocking headache, vomiting etc which didn't go away until Thursday morning! I started the progesterone pessaries last night. I'd forgotten how much fun they are - NOT! Tbh I've been feeling crap since I took the Clomid from day 3 - day 7. The trigger made me feel crapper and then last night I had cramps all night and the runs at 2am? I can't even remember if this is normal - I look and feel gross and the scales say I have put on 4kgs in a week? Given this is supposed to be an unmedicated FET (well it's not anymore after the Clomid, and trigger) I'm not sure why the weight gain? Juniper thanks so much for the heads up re Clomid affect on lining! I was really grateful for the info as I was able to ask if it had affected my lining. My lining was 7.5 when I had the ultrasound last Monday (I'm not sure really what this means) but the lady doing the scan said my FS likes your lining to be between 7 and 8? And apparently thy held off triggering me for another day- to last Tuesday to give the follicles time to get bigger (which I don't really understand either given its a FET and I wasn't having a collection) oh well.....

My transfer is booked for Tuesday. They will be defrosting 2 x day 3 embies on Sunday and have asked me to call at 1pm to check how the thaw went. Then they've asked me to call back on Monday as well. They are also going to thaw the one blastie I have frozen but I am assuming this will happen on the Tuesday morning immediately prior to transfer on the Tuesday morning? I feel really nervous - worried none of them will survive the thaw and that if the two defrosted on Sunday don't make it, it will be too late to deceit any more, which would mean a cancelled FET and a massive waste of time and money, as well as the negative affects on my body (and the hormonal fighting with DH I wish my clinic had have warned me how evil Clomid is! So now I'm jut waiting waiting...... Sorry fo the long all about me post... It hasn't been a great week (so I've kind of stayed away so I didn't inflict my hormonal state on anyone else...

I have a quick question - when should I start testing to see if the trigger has left my system? And Pinot how long does that take? Eg should I start testing before or after transfer? I just really want to know when it's out of my system....

Good luck and bbt dust sprinkle to all, especially Miss B, juniper and TT40 who are all waiting on results! Xxx

Re: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception February/March 2014

Hi Ladies, hope we are all well

Juniper - can you please put me down as CD2 for today - also wanted to say hope your TWW is going well and you're not tearing your hair out

TTL - thanks for the lovely long persies sadly SIL is a very selfish person it's all me, me me. When she told me she was pregnant it was the night of her bday dinner her and her hubby picked us up from our house to take us to a restaurant with them. anyway I climbed in the back seat behind her she didn't say Hello or anything just handed me an envelope as I sat down. I obviously asked "whats this" to which she said "just open it" and inside was a pic of her 12 week scan. I found that a really **** way to tell someone, her with her back to me not actually telling me just shoving an envelope under my nose. Given they know we have been trying for years I thought that was friggin insensitive. Needless to say she has not been in our good books since.
Anyway that is my rant for the day, i don't think I will ever get over that one it must be one of the worst 'how to tell family you're expecting" stories

I have read with great interest your FET cycle since taking the Ovidrel. I have never done a FET cycle before so its interesting to see how you do the trigger a whole week before transfer. I too am not a fan of the progesterone pessaries horrible stuff. I too worry about our little embie not surviving the thaw but after being on this forum for a while I have noticed it doesn't seem to happen often so I am pretty sure our embies will be fine! Crap about the weight gain hope once the meds have worked out of your system you drop that weight. Well until a little bub starts making you gain weight again that is. GL with your transfer, will be thinking of you. Love & light x

TT40 - I am praying you have some good news to share with us this morning

Miss B - how quickly the 8 days have gone since your transfer....you're on the count down now woohoo Hope you start to have some positive signs soon if not already

Joski - Hope tomorrow's blood test brings you good news too

AFM - first blood test this morning so fingers crossed everything is in order and I can start the gonal f today. Can't believe 4 months have passed since our IVF where does the time go

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, sending lots of baby dust across the miles to you xx
