WLAB - How are you doing? Hope your embies are snuggling in. In my 1st cycle the scientist phoned every day with an update on hoe the embies were doing. How many cells, good or average, that kind of thing. Then back on day 5 to have one transferred back in.

Rob - wow, 13 eggs, that is fantastic.

Kelly - Hope scan went okay
Meredith - hope scan went well ans you have a pick up date

Diamond - How are you going? Do you know when EPU is?

Loops - Welcome - we are cycle buddies, both had IUI today. I start pregnyl on Monday.

Sara - Great that AF arrived! GL losing the 2 kgs over the next few weeks.

    Krikkit - HI!

Aleenta - Gool luck with FET tomorrow!

    Miss Magpie - *waving hi*

Mollygirl - hope you are okay.

Hey to everyone else, and anyone I have missed

AFM: Well, my converted cycle - IUI - went okay this morning. I will be resting up today and trying to stay cool. I just feel excited to be in the 2WW at last! Start the pregnyl on Monday so ready for my boobs to swell and to *feel* preggers! I won't be too fooled though (like last time!) Cruel stuff.

Neptune way to go girl ... Lots happening for you this weekend

I like the way your clinic rings each day, it allows you to become prepared for the weeks events.

afm: good ol' crinone for me - good luck with the pregnyl.

    Hi to everyone

    Hi Girls

Neptune: Yay that you now have some swimmers all ready to meet up your little eggie. See you in the TWW shortly.

AFM: Scan today (day 10) showed 1 lead follicle at 14 and the lining at 6. So start surge testing from tomorrow until Wednesday to see if O is due. If nothing by Wednesday then back to the clinic for a trigger shot. I was asked in I wanted to use 2 of our day 3 or day 5's this time. I've chosen the day 3's again and will leave our day 5's as a last resort.

So I would estimate that my ET will occur anytime between Tuesday 27 - Monday 2nd (depending on when I ovulate). At least it is getting closer and I actually have a follicle growing.... I was dreading I wouldn't have any big enough.

Oh, I just had a phone call and am down to the final stage in the job interview process, reference checks, police checks being done and a Medical next Tuesday (at least they won't be able to find any baby making drugs in my system) so that shouldn't impact on my possibly getting the job.

Wouldlove, it is good how the clinic rings each day, however it's easy to get false hopes. I had 7 fertilise and they all made it to the day of transfer. So I expected them all to continue on, however when they phoned me the next day there was only one good one to freeze. So a bit of a shock at the end! They kept telling me it was a good result, but it took me a while to get over the shock of 5 of them not making it through the night. I think the process of phoning each day can make you a bit more attached to your embies!!!!

Neptune: Your right re becoming attached , I burst into tears when I found out we only had two embies, out of the 16, it didnt help that the fs blamed my "age" . I felt upset and thinking I know I am fortunate to get to two, so I dont want to offend anyone, I just had to get myself from one shock to a chair to prepare for transfer in less than a minute, I couldnt get my head around it. Now looking back, I should of asked for more time, I felt a bit rushed, and was thinking, I am never coming back here

Positive thinking .. Positive thinking .. - you never know ...

Do you mind if I ask why you didnt use your frostie this cycle ?

After my first IVF/ICSI cycle, we decided to keep going with the stimulated cycles and leave the frostie for a rainy day. The main reason was that if by chance the frostie worked, then it was going to be possibly a couple of years before another stim cycle making me 42 and perhaps it was better to keep stimming and get more in the bank now, IYKWIM. Little did I know that my next two cycles would be failures!

Loops and Neptune - great to make it into TWW. At least there is nothing to do but hope and pray for the next 2 weeks!

WLAB - I didn't exactly "chose" MOnash IVF. Yrs ago when first needed a FS, My GP just referred me to one who happened to be with Monash and I have stuck with her ever since. I am happy with them, however. Re- emby results. At MOnash, a nurse calls the day after EPU with fertilisation results and then again on day3 if having day5 ET. On the day of ET, an embryologist comes and goes through all the results and shows piccies of the ones to be transferred. After my last cycle, when, like Neptune, every was going wonderfully until ET day and then none to freeze. I actually rang and had long chat with head embryologist about it all so they are very open to direct communication if you want it.

Kelly - great news about your growing follie. Hopefully O date comes around soon and you have 2 on board shortly. Wow, your job interview process sounds pretty intense. Do you mind me asking what you do?

Wishingbaby - best of luck in your 2ww. Hopefully it is the last one for a long time

AFM - feeling pretty down about it all today. My follies are going great guns with massive growth over 2 days despite the lowered FSH. I now have about 16 between 12-18mm with most 14-16mm.
My lining, however is terrible - left the u/s in tears over it. Hasn't changed at all in past 2 days and barely at all since first scan.
I have never fallen pg with a lining under 6mm and currently at 4.7mm. Mind you, last cycle was my best ever reaching 7mm and I didn't get pg so who knows if that played any part in previous failures.
Bless my nurse, she knew i would be worried o had already talked to my FS. They are not happy with lining but don't really have any more tricks left to help. Going to try vaginal progynova( oestrogen) but not holding any hope since my E2 is 7000 so doubt adding any more is going to make any difference. They are holding off EPU until tues to try and give it some more time. At least all my follies will be of great maturity ( prob better than last time) but really thinking if it hasn't thickened at all yet, that it prob won't change. I think the chances of getting pg with thin lining is pretty slim and I am sooooooo worried as to why and if it can ever be better. Not much point getting great eggs and embryos if there is no oven in which to bake them. Sorry to be a sad sack but really feeling my dreams slipping further and further away today.

    Thumbs up

    Morning all

Thought I would update you on our progress, apparantly I had 14 eggs not the initial 13 they wrote on my hand, yay.

Of them 9 were mature and 6 fertilised. I go in for transfer on Tuesday afternoon and start on the crinone tonight.

Mrs M - Good luck with the weight loss just think positive and it will happen. I had to lose weight too and the best thing is just to be positive about the whole process and think of it as a lifestyle change and not a diet xxx

For everyone else I will keep my fingers crossed and will soon be seeing you in the TWW section, but I promise to still pop in here. After all who knows I might be back here again soon enough, we all know all too well in this business that nothing is guaranteed.

Take care and look after yourselves lots of and to everyone who needs it and even those that don't. and keep praying cause it never hurts

Meredith: I also have had lining issues, so that's why with this FET I am doing a "Fake" Natural cycle using clomid. At the scan my lining was at 6mm and with my other FET's I had to have a lining of a minimum of 9mm.

I asked as the lining wasn't where it should be at will this cause a problem with the transfers. I was advised that they would hope the lining would thicken up between now and trnasfer time but seeing as we are faking a natural cycle the lining is not a huge issue as my body should know what it has to do.....

I am hoping your lining grows for you by the time you have EPU, but at least you know that you have some good sized follicles growing and that you might get lots of frosties from this cycle for use later on....when your FS works out how to get your lining playing nicely...

re: the job, I have worked in finance all my life but due to the market at the moment there is not much available in that field so I have applied for a Customer Service role with the "Public Service", hence the need for all the checks that are required. I would think that I would have to be pretty close to getting the job if it's got down to the final stages of the interview process, and seeing over 400 people applied for about 20 jobs available I'm feeling quietly confident...
