Well gee it is busy in here, Just a quick up date on me.
Had a very busy day went to clinic to get rubella needle and pick up script for the pill also handed in the letter to say sorry but we are changin clinics. Rang new clinic made an appointment for the 27th of Feb so before are ready to start the next cycle. Went to sure slim to check out their weight loss program, still a little unsure as to weather I should sign up. Might discuss it with the new FS see what he thinks. I think my only concern is that you only have three meals a day, okay if it fills you up but it sseems like a long time between meals. Has anyone had success with this before?
Anyway enough about me, hope everyone is doing ok where ever you are in you cycle.

Kelly - so glad it all went well for you today. Have been waiting VERY patiently for some news from you! Good luck and I really hope you get a GREAT birthday present.

Since we are doing ICSI, I didnt think IUI would be an option. My FS never mentioned it as an option. He said have an EPU or cancel the cycle. Ive decided to proceed so trigger will be tomorrow and pick up on Thursday. I thought since I have come this far, I may as well see the cycle out and not waste it. I know the chances are very slim but this egg may be the one, you never know. Im preparing myself for the worst outcome but I had to give it a go. If it doesnt work, will go back to see my FS for the next option. It seems strange for my ovary not to respond to the higher doseage. I had nearly TRIPLE the amount of gonal this time round which only produced one follicle. Was very disappointing, plus have been doing acupuncture too.

Babydreamtime - good luck with your appointment tomorrow and hope you get some good news and can move onto the next step with some good results

Rob - glad all is going well.

Diamond - Congrats on the transfer. Good luck and hope this is the one for you.

    Hi to everyone else.

    Take care,

Saph : I would like to loose 7 kilo's or so, and I think the best way to do whilst we are TTC is the old fashioned way, have you tried W/W ?

BabyDT: How did your appt go today ?

MissMagpie - just wanted to commend you on your strength to proceed with the cycle. I know the odds are no in your favour, however you need to keep a window of oppurtunity open which sounds like what you are doing. Good luck for your epu hon.

Saph & WLAB - good luck with the weight loss program. My clinic actually has a support group for weighloss during infertility, so might be an idea to check with your respective clinics.

Rob - fingers crossed this is the cycle for you. Only 4 days left till b/t....

KellyD - wow - 2 embies on board congrats! How fantastic is that!! I will move now into the TWW thread and catch up with you there..

    Good luck to everyone else.....

    Hi everyone,

Just a quicky post as have been out of the office all morning and have tones to do.

MissM, the best of luck for your EPU, I agree that you have to be prepared for the worst but this one egg could alway be 'the one', I pray that all goes to plan for you.

Diamond, hope all is going well with you.

Sara, hi, hope time is flying by for you for your next cycle.

Saph, GL with your new clinic and your diet.

Rob, fingers crossed for your TWW.

KellyD, same to you, hope this cycle is the one for you, snuggle in little embies.

AFM, I guess I have sort of fallen into changing FS, so will now be going to Brisbane. Dr Lindstrom was really good, though her recommendations for this coming FET with my 3 frostie blasties was to stay on the baby aspirin and prednisone and she wants to try a natural FET, all of my others have been HRT.

I have another test to get done which my last FS hadn't asked for something like MTHRE, and DH is getting a sperm fragmentation/fragility test done. I asked what's next if nothing else comes up in the test and this FET is a BFN.

She is suggesting trying a boost cycle (I have only done down reg due to my PCOS tendencies) with some pregnyl in the stim stage and a few other things. She also said it might be just as simple as a different pair of hands doing the ET, which I agree as I have always had uncomfortable ETs in the past. She said maybe 'lucky Lindstom' will strike again, I hope so.

I am day 21 today and have not ovulated yet, my lead follie is only 16mm so am assuming I will some time in the next 4 days, which means that I will have a longer cycle than I thought which means that all my dates are out, bugger, I will have to recalculate. But will be DTD over the next few days, just in case a miracle occurs. You never know.

So now just waiting on AF, have to get my frosties moved to Brisbane, and counting down the days until my first day 12 scan, which should be around 2nd March.

    Hugs to everyone, xx

Baby Dreamtime - I forgot to say hello to you in my post. Hoping friday 13th brings good luck for both of us. Hubby and I actually married on april fools day (before midday), so I dont actually put my store in 'unlucky' numbers. Speaking of lucky chinese dates- isnt the number 3 and the number 4 (1+3) supposed to be lucky? Anyways, sounds like your new Dr is great and hoping that a change of doc will being you success this time round. Good luck for this cycle, hoping it goes quickly for you so you can start your FET cycle.

A really quick one girls - am so busy with work at the moment but fortunately it is keeping me sane (well sort of) in TWW.... Am away for the next two days and then by the time I get home will be one more sleep to BT and hopefully no AF and BFP.

But really just wanted to drop in and wish you all the best and I hope by the time I am back on line at the end of the week some of you will have made it to TWW and hopefully those waiting on AF will be rewarded to. I think by the time you have been through AC it feels like you have been on an advanced course of how to WAIT and WAIT and then wait some more!!!

Anyway Good luck and best wishes
    x

    New to this!

    Hello everyone

I'm very new to this, so I hope I'm in the right place.

My husband and I have been TTC for over 2 years now. I have endometriosis (mild), and slightly polycystic ovaries. My husband's sperm is apparently stellar. So I suppose there is no real reason for us to be having huge issues.

But, we've been through 10 stimulated cycles (clomid), 6 IUIs, and have just had our second IVF round (ICSI this time), so I'm officially in the 2WW.

I have had OHSS twice, (the first time was truly awful and I was really sick - this time isn't quite as bad). On our first IVF cycle, 15 eggs were retrieved, and one fertilised. This time 19 were retrieved, 16 fertilised, but only two developed enough to warrant transfer.

I suppose I just felt the need for some support. We're not telling anyone that we're going through this, and I don't know of anyone who has. I find myself reading these forums for hours every night, so thought I might as well participate, because it might help me.

It's been so wonderful reading your posts. It's really nice to know there are others out there going through the same thing

Jenc77 welcome!!! - i am sure you will find this forum an extremely helpful and friendly place to hang out. I can't believe it has taken you so long to post - you have certain been through quite a long journey.

AFM - well i am on day 4 of the Progynova leading up to my FET. I have my scan booked in for the 14th Feb and am praying that everything goes to plan. If so I should get my BFP at the end of the month. Is anyone else on a similar timeline - would love to know who I will be in the TWW with - god knows i will need the support and someone to hold my hand!!!

    Evening Everyone,

Jenc77 - Welcome, I am reasonably new to this on my first IVF round just in my TWW. Everyone is very supportive and I am sure we will all do our best to you out ...

Aleenta I am ing for both of us for and a on Friday although mine may not happen til Sat now. We are in the country and I have travelled to the city for everything but they offered to do my test up here on the Friday. Today my hubby informs me better we travel 1 1/2 hours to city on Saturday morning remembering we have to milk cows at 4am and be there between 7:00am and 8:30am. Blardy men.

I feel something different today just can't put my finger on it. Doesn't feel like AF but doesn't feel normal either very wierd feeling. Just feels like I have a tennis ball in my lower stomach when I bend over or bring my knees up, no pain just feels different.

Diamond and Baby Dreamtime 13 was lucky for me and hubby, we only had 13 eggs then they found an extra one in lab so I am sure it will be lucky for you both too.

For everyone else a big with lots of and heaps of

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I think I'm going to like this place! I'm going to head over to the 2WW spot for a bit of a read now. I'm going CRAZY! I tell myself every time that I'm just going to go on with life as normal, but can never quite manage it somehow... I'm sure you all know what I mean
    Next Friday will tell!!

    Hi ladies,

Well TWW is over. I had a BT today with a BFN

DH blames himself as we are using donor sperm. It was heartbreaking telling him the news. He is more fragile than me and i feel useless because i can't take away his pain. I too am very sad, but DH is absolutely devistated. TTC is going to be harder than we thought and I don't know how much more we can take.

I think we may need a break for a few months and try and enjoy life a bit more before trying again.

Anyone got any good idea to beat the TWW BFN blues? Any advise welcome.

To everyone else out there - Go your hardest! I'm wishing everyone the best.

    Jen

    Hi Ladies,

I'm new to posting in this thread.

Firstly, really sorry about your BFN Spring. to you and your DH. It's so easy to feel at fault when the pain of a BFP is so new. Hopefully your DH will feel better soon along with yourself.

I thought I'd join you all in here as tomorrow I'm starting with a new FS. After my 5th failed transfer last year I've been really down and unsure of our TTC future. Now that the decision to change FS has been made adnd the first appointment is so near I'm really excited about it. I had a dream the other night that I was giving birth to a baby boy. Not sure if this is an omen or just my pent up desire releasing in a dream. Only time will tell.

Hope to chat more with you all soon.

    Hi Girls,

Baby Dreamtime: I think that all sounds very promising. I don't know much about FET but from the concept the natural one sounds like a very good idea and makes sense to me. Wishing you allthe best luck with your new FS.

    CeCe: Welcome to this thread.

Tania keeping everything crossed for you.

Spring really sorry to hear that - the only thing that makes me feel better is to have a new plan for the future but that may not help you much since you want to have a break, maybe you could concentrate on planning a short holiday?

Saph: good luck f= with your diet, also trying to loose a kilo or two until I get back cycling, have started a walkign group to increase my exercise

    Aleenta

    Rob: Hope AF stays away.

    Good luck to everyone else

    Sara
