Hi sara - I'm sorry to hear your news! But a good thing is that you look at the positive side of it all, which is very admirable! Look after yourself. March is the Month!
AFM - last couple of days very sore bb's, not so much today and have had sharp pains down below, sim to O pain or pain just before AF. - but not so much today. Could be the progesterone pessaries making me feel like this!
-
Bulliej - Glad to hear your well, and have a plan after your stressful month at work, I went to the clinic yesterday, and looked across in the waiting room at the other ladies, and thought, I wonder if you guys are on BB, I could be sitting next to you one day and we wouldnt even know ... funny huh
Toby - we are buddies in regards to sore bb's - I can hardly put a bra on mine are so sore
Krikkit - good luck for todays fs appt
Kelly and Mrs M - hope you get your birthday pressie's -
Sara  for you
Hi to everyone
AFM - had accu yesterday, ouch ! when she put the needle in near my left ovary (i think, well in that region) I literally nearly jumped off the bed, do you girls get the dull ache, and where on your body have you had the needles put for ttc, I had them in my ancle's for kidneys, forehead and top of head for relax? hand for my heart ? and lower tummy to create more blood flow to my uterus - does that sound right to you guys -
Hmmm I wonder if I should search for a acc thread
Have a lovely day everyone
-
wouldloveabubba - I've wondered the same thing when i'm sitting in one of the waiting rooms during the whole ivf cycle.
I've had different reactions to the accup needles in terms of pain - never horrible pain, but sometimes one will hurt despite the fact that it's never hurt when she's put it there before. She does different spots depending on my cycle and how my tongue looks...and how my pulse feels, but the spots you mention are all ones that she does more often than not. I don't know much about the details, but I have read that once you are in the "I may be pregnant" phase, there should be no more needles in your belly. so long as your accup knows about accup & fertility etc. you should be fine
hi to everyone...
-
Hi girls
Sorry, a bit of a me post.
Had my day 9 scan today and only one good follie. Waiting for them to call me with me blood result. My cycle was cancelled last time b/c there was only 2 follies and I ovulated early. They doubled my dose of puregon this time and i feel like they are going to cancel again. I just feel rotten and feel like my body is failing me.
Hi to everyone, sorry to be a downer
-
-
Good afternoon girls,
wouldlovebubba - Your results sound great! Good luck on Tues :D I found my 2nd acu seesion hurt more than the first and I got a "tingling" sensation afterwards like pins and needles. Hopefully it means its working!
Sara - sorry to hear your news. Glad the swim was helpful. Stay positive.
Kristy - Welcome :D It all seems daunting at first but Ive found this site and the wonderful girls here VERY supportive as they are going through the same things. Its also been a great place to vent which is helpful during such a stressful time. Hope your appointment today went well.
Toby - Hope your feeling ok
21 - Glad you popped in to say HI! Stay well and keep us updated.
Neptune - No need to be sorry. Its a trying time with so much hope riding on every cycle. Hopefully they wont cancel it. Stay positive and strong.
KellyD - WOW, we have the same birthday!!!!! I'll be 37 this year. I'll know more next week after I have my scan. My FS has upped my Gonal dose this time round which will hopefully produce some more eggs. Got 5 last time, only 1 made it. I have one ovary.
Take care all.
Tania

Thanks!
Thanks Tania, its very daunting....and there is so much information to absorb.
Anyways.. on to the news of the day. I had my bloods and ultrasound and will have a hy(-something or rather) in a few weeks... to check my uterus and tubes are unblocked under twilight sedation.
At the ultrasound today some interesting things, I have 2 fibriods which I knew I had about 1.5cm and 2cm, he then found another two, one is 9cm and the other is about 1.5cm and sitting right around my cervix. So Laproscopy for me is inevitable.
1st day of my period I have to call them then go in to have a blood test the next day, then that arvo they call me to tell me what to do next - I dont understand this part, can anyone help?
I am still a bit lost after this point, I know I will have the hy-sometinng or rather.. then have to come back every second day after I ovulate for blood test (I think) ... I dont know when the laproscopy will be. The radiologist wasnt happy with my cycle as it averages 24 days - and he said sometimes it doesnt let the egg develop enough too plant it self - but all in all he was lovely and very upfront and honest bout what I was looking at on the screen and the chances of what I will need to have done.
Hubby may have a varicose vein on his scrotum which maybe affecting his chances of healthy sperm, so he has an ultrasound and sperm check on Thursday.
Its all a bit of a fuzzy mess.. but I am getting there. I guess by the 3rd appointment I will feel a bit better and a bit more knowlegeable. We have a councelling session on the 31st too.
Thanks again, its a great place to chat and vent about the dramas...

I was lost for a minute
Hi everyone, I was lost but just for a minute.
Got caught up with so much over christmas and new year and we are in the middle of January and I forgot the thread changes at the end of the month, phew but I found it ha ha.
Well I started injections Tuesday, as got my AF Monday. Am on puregon, if anyone has heard of it. First 2 days were good but yesterday and more so today I felt quite tired and a little nausiated but a small price to pay to get the ultimate outcome. So I am off for a blood test tomorrow and a scan on Tuesday.
Very hard to get your hopes up when you don't feel so great but I do have a glimpse of hope still there somewhere, it just gets harder to find some days.
Anyway lots of :pink-babydust::bluedust: to everyone needs it and lets keep our fingers crossed :crossfingers: while I try to make lots of eggs.
-
saph: is it a retroverted uterus, you've got?. anyway i have a retroverted uterus ( it sits facing the opposite way, apparently about 15% women have it , anyway it doesn't affect getting pregnant)
hope all is going well and you 're not going crazy in TWW.
kelly: glad af finally arrived, she never does what we want.
toby: hows your waiting going , hope youre being good. good luck
spring: hope FET goes well for you. got your fingers crossed i hope.
sara: 3rd time lucky. sending you some hugs, xxoo. good luck to you.
aleenta: hope your jabbing is going well, OUCH!
missmagpie: acu is good, hope you get a great present for your b'day, for eg a BFP. good luck
bdt: send you hugs, FET with me in march, we can be FET buddies. send you hugs. xxoo
would luvbubba: glad your follies doing well.
buliej: count down to IVF in feb, it won't be long
krikkit: hope it goes well with fs. good luck and welcome to lttc/ ac group.
21ttc: so pleased all is going well for you
neptune: hope all is going well with follies.
afm: i had acupuncture today, was so good and relaxing, also got a massage for my shoulder, it was sore from too much gardening.
my life is so hard right now, not !
just relaxing and had a day by myself today, that was nice.
we are going camping next weekend for 5 nights and i can't wait.
also nearly forgot, i lost 400g this week, so my healthy eating is doing a good job, feeling great.
chat soon
-
Hi guys - gosh im so far behind i wont even attempt personals atm.... so sorry but i hope everyone is going ok
and a huge  to those who got AF recently
I had my FS Appt yesterday in Syd.... it went fantastic and i truely feel we are finally on the right road now :)... DP and i are just so very happy.... i have to have a Hysteroscopy done and also another LAP (actually i dont have to have the LAP done he just suggested it as i'd be asleep anyway and i truely trust him so i said whatever u think lol).. if my tubes are truely blocked (which he seems to think that maybe they arent) he is going to try and unblock them :) YAY And if not we'll move straight to IVF
So we are very happy campers atm... not sure when ill have this done tho as we are going public.... but we dont really mind.... anyway i best be off.....
Take care everyone
I promise ill keep up with personals from now on :)

Did a big post last night and computer crashed so never got sent. Sorry will be brief tonight but just can't remember everything from then!
Kelly - so glad AF finally decided to show her face.At least you can now look towards at least the opportunity to get pg. Always makes me feel better!
JBM - good on you for pampering yourself and for the great weight loss. Marhc has got to be it for you!
Nikki - glad FS went well. you sound very upbeat and positive about it all which is a fabulous start.
AFM - well AF never went beyond a few hrs of VERY light spotting. Saw my nurse on Wed and had BTs which showed all my levels "flat" as expected post AF. So they were fine to let me start cycle. I am still concerned as to why no lining to shed. I have slways bled at least a bit on Provera but nurse didn't even feel the need to consult my Dr so guess I have to trust her and get stuck into the jabbing again! All feels a bit repetitive really. Was signing some forms last night and noticed that this is our 9th cycle with Monas IVF.... eek... never thought we'd be needing this much help!
-
Well, after my disappointment yesterday with only one good follie, the nurses phoned me yesterday afternoon to tell me my E2 was only 379!!!!! That's really crap, so basically not sure what is happening. They don't want to see me until Wednesday for another scan and BT, and I am just to keep continuing on the double dose of puregon. I feel very upset, two cycles in a row like this.
Has this happened to anyone else and did they give you a reason? Just feel like I am never going to get my dream.
-
Neptune, can I ask were you doing a down reg cycle on lucrin/syneral? My body always switches off when using them and then I can't get my E2 levels up. I have found a flare/boost/short cycle works better for me, or perhaps an antagonist (I haven't done one) which use less or no lucrin/syneral. I am sorry hun, it is very dissapointing when that happens. I hope the upped dosage does the trick.
Meredith, sometimes no AF or little AF isn't a worry after down regulating.
-
Neptune: Similar to Dusty - I had only two follies when I did a downreulated cycle with the pill, one week lucrin and then puregon, doubling the puregon dose didn't make difference. This time i did an antagonist cylce p a few days Puregon, then starting Orgaluton as well and for the last few days, puregon, orgalutron and Pregnyl - whiel i only had three eggs I had eight follicles.
Toby: Good luck, thinking of you.
A good weekend to everyone
Sara
-
Hi Dusty
My first cycle was the long down reg and I did really well apart form it not working...one frozen embie still waiting.
2nd cycle was an antagonist in which I hardly had any response, and this is a flare cycle on double the dose I have used before and very little response.
Feel very flat and depressed and kind of stupid for trying. Will just have to keep on trucking and see what happens on Wednesday.
Thanks for your help.
-
Morning Ladies:
Neptune : Sorry I cant offer any advice to you, I do hope the double dose will increase your follical numbers, I hope on Wed, your FS can give you some clear answers.
Merideth: 9th cycle, in the year of 2009 - hoping this will be the one for you, my af was practically non existant this month, I would expect it it all the meds
JBM: Just what the doctor ordered - relaxing before your fet - have a lovely time camping
Krikkit: I have read, and started taking B6, which is said to lengthen your luetal phase, perhaps thay may help with your cycle's
Miss M : good luck for your scan next week
BullieJ - Hopefully one day our fs appts will co-inside, and we can say hello, thanks for your response re the accu, hope you get a chance to have some while your going through a stressfull month at work
Hi to Rob and Nikki
AFM : clinic called yesterday, and epu is def tues, :D I weighed myself on the scales at a g/f's last night, and I have gained 7 kilo's  since my first cycle in Nov/Dec, surely its the fluid I have onboard, I cant even bend over its so bloated and tight.
-
JBM - hi no she defenantly said inverted cervix. I checked it out on the internet and because mine is facing backwards it is often the result of a difficult birth. Which with a nine pound+ baby who got stuck I can understand.
WLB - hopefully it is all fluid but in six months of doing treatment last year I put on 10kg, It was my reaction to the drugs. Mind you it is my reaction to everything.
AFM - still plodding through the TWW. My ovaries are so sore that I can hardly walk. Reacting badly to the pregnyl this time. Red swollen spot, itchy, hot and OMG are my bb so sore and Campbell has deceided that to get my attention he needs to poke my there, I am not impressed. Not really getting to excited as I know it is only the drugs. But all in all very exciting time for us at the moment. Campbells cubby went in yesterday that my dad got for him (As a way to remember him as he passed away in sept) and he loves it. The pool is going in on tuesday and our decking is being done this week. Busy Busy. Plus I am very excited discussed with DH about going on a scrapbooking camp in may and have decided to go. I have never been away from Campbell over night let alone for a weekend. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend and good luck to you all where ever you are in your cycles.
-
Hi Ladies - sorry just popped in for some advise no time for personals.
I am currently waiting on AF so that i can start a FET. Its been about 40 days since my last AF but thats not unusual for me. I was thinking about starting Provera to speed things up but then last night i got a very small amount of brown old blood in my knickers - sorry if TMI. So i kind of thought i would wake up this morning with AF in full flow but there was nothing. Then just now when i have gone to the toilet there is another small amount of brown old blood - again not much just enough to ruin the knickers)............Is this AF????? What the hell is gping on?????? Meredith, is this what you had???
-
Mollygirl, have you had your hormone levels taken lately? They can normally tell you when to exp?ct AF bas?d on your progesterone levels. Very frustrating for you I am sure! Sounds like you are doing a natural FET (ie not on the pill in the lead up)?
Neptune, sorry to hear that you have done all those cycles hun. Did they measure your FSH before you started the stims this time? Sometimes that can indicate how successful a cycle may or may not be. The higher the number the less likely recruits for that month to stimulate. It could be you are having an off month :wall:. WIsh I could give you some other advice, but it sounds like a watch and wait for now. I had a similar thing happen on my very last own cycle. 450iu Puregon for 17 days (after pill down reg) and squeezed out one egg which did fertilise. I figured where there is one folicle there could be one egg which could be one embryo which could be the one for you. Some other advice I have been given in the past is sometimes the levels of stim are too high which can derail the cycle - kinda fry the eggs. I think it was Chez67 (not sure) whose FS played with her levels during the cycle to get better quality rather than quantity. It may be something to explore after this cycle if you need to.
WLB, keep up your water hun, you may be overstimulating a bit and water reduces the risk of any complications. What are your E2 levels?
-
:oomg its busy in here and i couldnt keep up if i tried so just wanting to wish you all good luk with everything hope your all haveing a nice weekend.
WLB-ANGE...... go get them eggs hun you can do it and who cares about 7kgs lol good luk with the eggys:egg::egg:
-
Smithy: you always bring a smile to my face ..
Dusty : thank you for the advice re the water, I just went and filled up a bottle. My fs hasn't ordered any E2 tests - not sure if that is good or bad ?? I notice that Sydney seems to do a lot more bt than Melb clinics. I am off to google E2

Hi All,
I'm really peeved at the moment. Because I spent so much time writing personals and the website was updating, somewhere in between I got logged out, which means when I went to send my post it wouldn't accept it. Aaargh! Now it's 1.30am and I don't have the strength to do it all again! Sorry gals! It's been so long since I've done personals and I went thw whole 9 yards! Please accept my apologies for not resending them and I promise I will next time. But what I will say is that I am thinking of those of you who are struggling at the moment. Your hardships are touching and I hope you find the strength to go on.
What is nice is that there are some of you who are going really well. It's just as nice to hear about your triumphs and cheery stories to brighten up our days.
So...:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy::hug: to all!
AFM (here we go again!): I just took my trigger for my next FET transfer. However I am worried I took the trigger too early. I took a take home urine test today to see where my ovulation was at just this morning. The test show a stronger reference line thatn the surge line. But I read it incorrectly and thought you beauty, I'm ready to go already? It was only after I took the trigger that I realise I read the test wrong. Even though the surge line was quite dark, it wasn't as dark as the reference line. Do you think it will make much difference?
-
...Me again.
I juste reread the post above and realised it hardly even makes sense! I should really stop posting after midnight! (Oh wait, my original post that didn't get through was 11.30pm, so my extra late night babbling wasn't totally my fault!)
Nighty Night! :asleep:
-
hi ya girls
how are we all......
we have decided on when to start IVF and it is MAY this year!!!!!!!
I'm starting Kate Morgan Weight Loss this week to help me along crossing fingers it works for me

:hello: everyone
I just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone and to wish you all good luck with your cycles- where ever you are up to
Gosh its so busy in here I will wait to do personals until I have properly caught up with what everyone is doing
Sending :bluedust: and :stickyvibesgirl: to you all
Bring on the :bfp:s !!!
AFM- Im still waiting on AF due early Feb so we can commence a flare cycle, I have ordered my In Liven off the net ( thankyou to Neptune for the tip about the thread, it had some great info in it and all very positive) so expecting its arrival around Tues then off to acupuncture on Wed. Im hoping the effort Im putting into trying to live as healthy as I can pays off and I can start to cycle next month. Only a couple more weeks to go.
Ill be back on later to do personals
-
Neptune - so sorry your cycle is not going so well. I don't have much more to add but praying the extra time on high dose of FSH does the trick. Otherwise I think you need to grill your FS. This is just to agonising to go through over and over again
Dusty - thanks for your relpy but no down reg for me. I don't get natural AF so provera was purely to bring one on which it has done in the past.Who knows what our bodies do!
WLAB - only 2 more sleeps until EPU. Hope it all goes well for you
Molly - I am with Dusty - go get a BT. I wasn't sure if my very minimal spotting was AF either but did at least have more clue given I had used Provera and had ALL the cramping etc to go with it. BT will confirm you prog levels.
Spring - Sorry can't help you on the ovulation tests. I've never used them as I don't ovulate on my own but I did think the line has to be equal if not darker than control. I would call your clinic and check with them
MrsM - yay - bring on a May cycle!
AFM - just done 4th dose of FSH and really been feeling it early this time. My ovaries are aching!
First scan and BT tomorrow at 7.45am so interested to see where we are at.
-
Just a quick note that I will take your advice Dusty and Meredith and I will pop in to my clinic in the morning on the way to work and have a BT to find out what the hell is going on. I have continued to have small amounts of old blood every time I wipe but nothing flowing as such - this has never happened to me before. Plus i have absolutely no pain which is strange for me as usually AF goes hand in hand with unbearable cramping!!!!
But your right, BT will answer all my questions and I will know if I am starting Progynova tomorrow or not. Hopefully I will be starting and my FET will soon be here!!! Am feeling like this transfer will be the "one" for us!!!!
-
Well you have to love the hive of activity a New Year brings!! Hopefully I haven't missed anyone, and if I have apologies - and sending babydust!
KellyD and MissM- Great that your AF arrived and did the right thing - GL with FET and hopefully we will all be TWW buddies
BDT - so sorry things not going your way - hoping there is a BFP amongst your 3 blasties
Sara69 - I am so sorry to hear your news - I have been quietly cheering for you on the sidelines..hopefully 3rd time lucky will be your time - sending you big hugs
Krikkit - hang in there it seems so daunting and confusing at first, but before long you will be feeling more knowledgeable and empowered - in some was going through ART is like learning a new language or a new job
JBM - soak up that relaxation and glad the accup is working for you too - I love it and great work on the weight loss and healthy eating - you go girl!
Nikki - glad you are feeling happy and enthused
Neptune - sorry you are depressed, it's hard to know what to say as we know nothing anyone else say can make it better, other than to say we are thinking of you, and whatever you do make yourself number one and take care of you..
WLB - Sound like you have lots of eggies on board - good luck and drink LOTS and LOTs of water - I tend to bloat as well and the water really helps avoid OHSS as Dusty says
Mollygirl1977 - That sounds like what has happened to me a few times - I sometimes wait 45 - 50 days. good to hear you are getting BT from clinic - best way to understand what is going on
MrsM - good to hear you have a plan for IVF and GL with weight loss
Dutchie80 Hope AF does the right thing so you can start in FEb
MeredithD - GL with BT - sorry your ovaries are aching - hopefully they are just sending a positive sign to say they are working!
AFM - 6 days of jabbing so far I am on 75iu of GonalF to stimulate my lining to build so I can have FET - previous FET cycles of progynova haven't worked ie lining not right and bleeding. I have to say that I am fine most of the time but for a few hours of the day I am so CRANKY and impatient - poor DH!! Mostly I try to stay positive but when you start to feel freakishly short of temper it can get to you a bit. Hanging out for scan on Tues and hoping my lining is gorgeous as I have had so many cancelled cycles it gets hard to remain positive. I have booked myself in for accup on Tues after scan in case all goes pear shaped and I need some TLC. And for extra pampering a facial Tues night!! DH will be travelling for work so I have now learned that whilst we can't control everything - having contingencies in place can help with feeling better emotionally.
Hugs to all - we are all amazing in our own way and we all deserve the best xxx
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm feeling a bit better today and as if I have come out of a slump. I am bloated (yippee!!!!) and uncomfortable in the general ovary area, so feeling a bit more hope again today. It may not end up being the most productive cycle, but I'm hoping to at least make it to ET!!!
Thanks again
-

i love holidays, 6 days til we go camping, 5 nights away, i am so excited.
-
Wow, so many of us in here at the moment.
Been really busy, so unfortunately no time for personals.
Well, we had our house settlement on Friday and have been busy moving all weekend. Had my final 50mg Clomid this morning and scan on Friday to see how things are going in there and hopefully FET the following week.
Only had minor side effects this time, apart from night sweats didn't any others. Although I was a bit snappy over the weekend, don't know if it was a side effect or due to the stress of moving. I say moving....
I ache all over at the moment with lifting and bending and I have horrible hands from all the cleaning.... I also broke 4 nails as well.. But on the positive side, we now have our own home and I will be all unpacked and done by the time the FET is done...
Oh, I also find out tomorrow if I got a new job..
My new mantra is: New House, New Job, New Lifestyle, New Baby for 2009.. New House - Check. 1 down and counting........
-

Hi guys,
I was supposed to start my blood tests today for my FET however I had my gall bladder removed Saturday so have cancelled my cycle.
I felt it was important to post some information regarding gall stones and IVF - apparently it's really common so I started a new thread, just in case anyone was interested or has unexplained symptoms/pains they are dealing with.
Anyway - good luck to everyone. I'll catch up on everyone's news over the next couple of days.
Tarn
-
WEll hi all,
Tarn - read your thread so glad you have finally found some answers.
WLB - good luck for tomorrow, have my fingers crossed for you
AFM bloods back today, prog is low so start on the pessaries tomorrow. Yuck I hate them, have only had them at night before but this time morning and night. Will have to set my alarm so I can do it before my son wakes up.
Speaking of son just heard him playing in the toilet so must be off.
-
Hi Ladies,
I would like to join your thread. I have been hanging in the IUI thread for some time now, but I am currently on my first IVF cycle and think I should move into this thread. The lovely wouldloveabubba urged me to join!
Some background on me: Hubby and I have been trying since april 06 with no luck. I have been diagnosed with mild endo, but aside from that there are no other known issue. Dr's have assured my that mild endo cannot affect fertility. Started with IVFA late last year, have currently completed 3 x IUI cycles with no luck. Currently I am on my 1st IVF cycle, and very apprehensive about all the unknowns - hence my need to join all you knowledgeable ladies!! Currently, I am on syranel and 150iu of purgeon with my first scan/bloods tomorrow.
There are so many in this thread, please excuse my ignorance if it takes some time to catch up on where every one is in their cycle....
Oh and again - good luck good luck good luck wlab for your epu this morning
