Hello everyone. Just been catching up on all the posts.
Hope everyone is well and I wish you all the best of luck with wherever you are respectively at with your cycles
Colinsgirl ... ... you will certainly find the answers and support you are looking for here. Sorry I can't help, but I am not quite at the stage of most of you. I am awaiting a lap on 20/8 and then depending on results, will move to IUI/IVF (have even been considering trying naturally until the end of the year and then moving to AC, but just depends on lap results and what FS thinks). Best wishes for your 2WW, I hope you are one of these first time lucky IUIers
Just wanted to pop in and say hi to everyone and let you know that I am still thinking of you all while I am in the TWW.
Hanging in there, feeling very bloated but by and large, pretty positive.
Emerald Star - BT is on Mon 24th but nurse at FC mentioned that it could be moved forward to the Sat 22nd if I get any spotting or am really stressed out!
Mitf and Taurean78 - just noticed your BT's are the same day......Hope you are both resting well and keeping yourselves busy on this dreaded 2WW...can't wait to hear your results...GL
Me tooo! I'm on my first IVF PGD ICSI Cycle - Started on 13/08/09!!
Afternoon Ladies,
I too am also just starting my first IVF ICSI cycle. DH and I are currently going through Dr Lok at SIVF. They have been fantastic so far.
Anyway, started on 10units of Lucrin injections last Thursday. Was quite surprised with myself that I was able to do them. Was a bit worried to begin with. So moving on, took my last pill on Sat night and now just waiting for my monthly friends to arrive. Have a BT all set for this Thursday and have been told by the IVF nurse that all going well, will start my FSH injections on Saturday .
Just a bit more about us, as well as the ICSI and the IVF were also doing PGD. My husband has a genetic condition and so we were able to be provided with the option to make him the only one in the family with it. We started our whole IVF adventure just a little over 12mths ago now and now its time for all the great exciting things.
Hope we can all support each other on here. Will definately need it. Am kind of stressing a little too because I know im taking the injections but aren't really feeling anything other than a slight sore head. Is this normal I wonder??
Look forward to hearing about all of your experiences and tips
I am also with SIVF (city) and I think you're in great hands!
It's really exciting once you start the injections because it means things are finally moving along. It is surprising that we can inject ourselves and it really becomes second nature after a while.
I had the same dosage of Lucrin as you and the only side-effect it gave me was dry-mouth! Very strange how drugs do different things to different people. But you're in the right place to be bouncing things off other people and you'll get lots of great advice here.
My tips are acupuncture, lots of rest, good food, lots of fluids, gentle exercise. I am big on the acupuncture b/c I feel it's really helped in keeping my stress levels down. Also, the increase in IVF success in conjunction with acupuncture is well documented. (No - I don't work for one! ).
Still waiting on Af here, I feel like a big fake. I started Synarel on CD 21 and Im only my 7th day of it now. My cycle isnt usually this long....Im busting to get moving onto the next step
williamsemma59 - do not fel bad about posting your BFP!!! I will not allow it. THis is what we are all aiming for and it brings me great joy to see someones dreams come true...believe me, i will be shouting it out from the rooftops, if it was me. After all the crap we go through to get that BFP, who are we to take away all the excitement from you...we are here not only for the bad times, but we are here for all the BFP's too.
In saying all that..i am only speaking for myself.Others may feel differently.
Krikkit - I was very bloated and even added a few kilos on my cycle. Drink plenty of water is what i hear.
Nix76 - It's getting close to the exciting bit...and then the other bit...and then the dreaded 2WW!!
Tracey - was reading through the posts and noticed yours. You and I started our first cycles together on the same day. My first Lucrin Injection was also on the 13th and tonight was my 7th injection!! Like you, I too am still waiting on AF. I stopped taking my OCP on Saturday night and normally by now if i was still on them, i would have AF. I'm off for my BT tomorrow to check on the Lucrin levels so fingers crossed it comes soon because were due to start the FSH injections on Sat. Heres hoping we dont have to put them back!!!!!
If anyone else can share their story with us to help ease our minds it would be greatly appreciated.
Fingers crossed though that AF arrives. Have never wanted it this bad before .
Hope everyone else is well and things are progressing just the way you would like them to.
