Mrs Mac - it is one of the most amazing moments to watch the flashing speck go back in. It kinda glows on the US. Very cool. Hope it works for you. xx

first clinic i was with did u/s guided transfers and had a photo frame screen thingy, so you could see a pic of your embryo before transfer. they dimmed the lights and played soft music too...! they would also email you a pic of each embryo too. i found it reassuring to see the white bubble on the screen, helped me to visualise that something actually could happen in there.
my current clinic doesnt do u/s guided transfers as routine, but i have requested them as it's what i prefer. FS must have put it on my file bc i dont have to specify each time now, it just happens.

vic - i get substantially better fertalisation rates with icsi, even though there is no sperm/egg problem with us. i reckon for an extra $25 - might as well give it a shot? hope your phone consult goes well tomoz (hope i've remembered the right day). xx

myturn - best wishes for tomorrow. xx

miss b - i liked acu for the relaxation part, but didn't work for me. i wished it had bc i have heard great things about acu & fertility. im sticking to my herbs which seem to regulate my cycle (when i remember to take them....).

hi everyone else, hope you're all having a good week.

afm - scan next thursday to see when ill ovulate this month, hoping for a 'normal-ish' cycle this month.

Oh myturn, you make me laugh I really think you're UTD, the tiredness, the sore nippies, the forgetfulness, I say they're pretty good signs! hehehe. Only more more sleep hun, FX!!!! xoxoxo

Andie, thanks hun. And thank you for replying in my other thread about naturopaths and TCM people. I know the acu sessions have relaxed me but I'm not convinced it's helped me with my failed cycle. I suspect the lady has helped me in 'balancing' things and maybe even with making both ovaries produce eggs (unlike the January cycle when only my right ovary reacted to the drugs). I am so torn as to what to do. I feel that maybe I should try one thing with this new slow FSH release drug cycle, and if it doesn't work I could try something different maybe? I'm not too keen on the drinking chinese herbs, maybe I should just try a naturopath this time and if that doesn't work go to the stinky chinese herbs GL next Thursday hunni xx

Miss.B, I got my first ever BF with acu + chinese herbs (without other medical assistance) after 3 failed IVF cycles, so I'm a believer that they can help (for me, anyway). If you think you're getting some benefit and can afford it, I'd say keep going. If you're not convinced the reward:investment ratio is good enough, then give it the flick. I never minded the smell of the drink so much (I could convince myself it smelled mushroomy), but the taste... bleh! I used to let it go cold and gulp it all down quickly, followed by a strong mint.

Vic, I forgot to tell you that we did ICSI with all our IVF cycles as per my FS's recommendation to get things happening 'quickly'.. Back when I did my first cycle, I was 38 and even then he didn't want us to waste time with the normal 'let the sperm chose it's own egg' thing. Maybe it was also b/c DF had his snip quite a while ago and apparently if it's been ages since the snip the sperm start to produce it's own anibodies? Anyhoo, it worked for us. Also, my FS said to me that he has seen more success with FETs than fresh transfers for some reason. I would still do the fresh cycle though, to get max. amount of eggs /embies.

Mrs Mac, I wan to join the belly buddies too Hopefully we won't be too far behind

Juniper, I just don't know what to do! In my heart something is telling me acu is not helping me with egg quality, only with my stress levels and balancing everything in there. I went to see the acu lady in hope of her improving my egg quality, but sadly I don't think it's worked Maybe I will just find someone that does both acu and herbs, I have one lovely friend from belly who recommended a lady close by....maybe I will give her a whirl?

    Hi to everyone else!!

Oh and Vic, how come the list didn't bring me luck? Waaaaaaaahhhh!!!!! lol.

Oooh oooh n2l, I just had time to read that article you've attached for me about CoQ10, thanks again . Very interesting!! So, in the article they said the study had the women taking 1200 mc grams or whatever, what do you take? And I already take super spirulina which is also a very rich antioxidant and so forth (hence my good energy levels ) so wouldn't I be doubling on that? Maybe I should stop taking the spirulina if I was to take the CoQ10??

I am not sure about the spirulina MissB? I take 600mg of coQ10 (as advised by FS).
