Im ummming and ahhhhing about going back on DHEA and melatonin. I have a script which will expire in a couple of months so i have to decide....

First post! Girls how many days after your last Pregnyl shot can you have your BT? I have 3 Pregnyl shots to take since EPU does that sound normal? Took my 2nd yesterday and its stirred up the ohss I'm so swollen my bra won't even close today

N2L, stranger things have happened, so you never know... It's a crazy, sometimes-unpredictable world we live in...

Bunnyfeet, I have the three booster shots at 3, 6 and 10dpo for my IUI cycles and my beta is scheduled for 16dpo. There would still be some residual pregnyl left at that point (based on what my HPTs are showing), but much too low for it to be a (healthy) pg. I think the official instruction I get is actually to have the b/t 7 days after the last booster, but I ignored that in favour of the contradictory "16 days after IUI" instruction.

Bunny- Not sure how long Pregnal takes to be out of the system.. I didn't use it in my last 2 cycles and I can't remember much from before that! Bigger about the OHSS Xx

AFM- Had my appointment with the FS. He did another scan (so much fun while the witch is still in the house) but said that he can't see any reason why I am bleeding again. He said the only logical thing he can think of is that I didn't respond well to the Progynova. He wants us to start another FET cycle but wants me to take clomid this time to stimulate my ovaries to produce some follicles and hence produce estrogen. He thinks this will be a much more effective way of getting a better lining. Sooo I am supposed to have my Beta HCG done on Friday (apparently it is an auditing requirement that one be done before commencing another cycle) and then start 100mg Clomid on Saturday.
What do you ladies think?? I am a little scared of jumping straight back into another FET cycle
Juniper- I guess CD1 for me? And I guess WFT again??

Jasmine, if you don't feel ready, there's no reason why you need to jump straight back in. You can always ask to delay a cycle. I'd be feeling nervous about progressing without having my body return to normal first.

Thanks for your advice everyone! Though I did quietly crap myself when I read the $$$. Have agreed with DH to go and get the info then we can decide what next.

Juniper - bummer to hear you haven't had any luck yet but god you deserve credit for sticking with it, you must be on strong lady!

I'm on CD 26 so AF due any day now!

Bunny, thanks for sharing this to me, I think it is a good idea not to take any med. during the cycle. I am going to try this I think it might work on me too because as I know soda can reduce acidity. Can I buy the bicaronate of soda in chemist warehouse? I think I can find liquorice tea in supermarket. My GP give me Nexium to take as I am not going to start my cycle.

Juniper, I think egg quality is crucial, I don't have confident for this frozen embryo, so I have to do the other stimulation cycle again. I don't know what I can do to improve my egg quality.. I have to try DHEA if my doctor agree fot it.

Jasmine, it is good your doctor give you Clomid instead of Progynova, I might discuss with my doctor with that because my linning is not as good as I normally has when I was taking Progynova.

Jasmeen, my doctor has advised me wait 2 cycles, this one which is the m/c and the another one, which we agreed, because anyway we think we will end up doing a FET on October or November I think.
Bunnyfeet, I had 2 Pregnyl shoots, the first one on the day of the transfer, which was a Friday, and the second one was on Monday, and I had the bt 9 days later, which was 16 dpo.
Awesty, our clinic charges $$6,583.70, but we paid only the Gap $3,547.45, then the Medicare refund was $1,675.50, so we ended up paying $1,871.95, plus $750 hospital, Anaesthetist $350 (-$121 Medicare Refund) and $600 Embryo freezing.
Bestrong, I struggle with heartburn and bicarbonate soda works perfectly, I get it from woolworths, and apple cyder vinegar reduces acidity too I have nexium tablets too, but I don't really have them very often I used to have one a day before I started having bicarbonate soda and other thing that I get from the USA Picot is the name of this powder and is the best thing ever

AFM I have been seeing an acupuncturist since April, one month before I started ivf, but she didn't gave me any herbs, because she said the herbs could interfere with the drugs I was going to have, so it was only the needles
We are going overseas and I wont be seeing her until I come back, that's why I thought to ask and see if I can buy some supplements to take with me. ATM I only have Elevit.
Juniper, could you please put me on a break on the list?
I have endometriosis, and I asked the doctor if it wouldn't be better if I had it removed, or whatever they can remove, before a FET, and he says is not necessary at the moment, but isn't it endometriosis bad for implantation? Or shouldn't he give me hormones or some sort of treatment to help? How can I have a surgery to remove endometriosis? Do I go and see oather doctor and ask it to do it? I had a laparoscopy last year and they found that I had endo, but couldn't remove it, because they could damage the bowel and they had to talk to me about it, before to proceed.
I hope what I said makes sense...

Nothing2lose, yeah I have heard the same, but that's when you use it for a few cycles and n high dosage. But I have never used it, so I don't really know...

    Dear AF,
    You suck!
    The end!
I'm in a "let's just get it over and done with" frame of mind right now. Wasn't impressed when AF sort of started last night, then disappeared all day and made me wait until 5:30 this afternoon to start for real...

I've always been told that clomid is really bad for your lining
I had heard the same, but usually after a few cycles. I think most women are fine the first cycle or two, although there are always exceptions to any rule...

CatyO, I definitely think it's worth getting your endo treated (ie removed). It will mean losing a little TTC time (usually the lap cycle and the following cycle), but worth it for the boost in your chances. If you have endo on your bowel, ask your GP for a referral to the best surgeon in your area. Or if your FS doesn't do that sort of work, ask them who they'd recommend. That's delicate work and you want the best person possible doing it. If you're in Brissie, I highly recommend my previous FS. I still intend to go back to him for my endo. I had endo covering half of my bowel when he did my first surgery and he removed as much as possible. He did say I'll need a bowel resection one day though, to fix it properly...

CatyO, just bear in mind the good surgeons can have long waiting lists and then you wait again for a surgical slot. I got my referral in June last year and had my surgery in August - I had to wait 1 month for an appt and then 1 month for a surgical opening, and that was as an existing patient, not a new one who can often wait longer for that first appt... I'd get the referral now and start the ball rolling. If they offer a surgical spot earlier than you want, you just say you're not available at that time and ask if there's anything in early September. I've always just taken the first one because that's what I wanted (ie ASAP)...
