I hate the mandatory Bet HCG that the clinic makes you do even after you well and truly know the cycle has failed!! The poor lady who did my BT this morning at the local pathology is obviously not familiar with this this and politely smiled at me and asked me how many weeks I would be. Don't know who felt worse when I had to explain the situation and the clinic won't let you start a new cycle without the test... Now just waiting for the clinic to call this afternoon just so they can confirm for me again that this cycle was an epic fail... Rant over.
scan showed about 10 ish follicles (just me counting) largest so far 16mm, lining is 7.8mm. will most likely have repeat scan and bloods on Monday, I am hoping for egg collection on friday otherwise it is likely to be Wednesday..
Glorious- Well done on 10ish follies. I would say if the lead follie is about 16mm you will be triggering on Monday and EPU Wednesday. Keep us posted honey Xx
Glorious You must be so happy with 10ish follies that's fantastic xxx
afm: my bt yesterday was hcg 164 so can someone please tell me if that's ok. cause it went from 16 to 58 but didn't double then plus please tell me
if what i'm thinking is right i'm just so bloody tired i'm not sure and now i'm worrying that's its not high enough. Thanks
Jasmine, yes, those situations are always uncomfortable.
Glorious, I agree that it sounds like you'll most likely have EPU Wednesday. Hope those smaller follies catch up over the weekend!
*edit*
Rai, we were posting at the same time! The average for 16dpo is 200, so you're a little below that but definitely in the right range! I'd be cautiously optimistic about your numbers. They seem to be rising very nicely. My sister's hcg level was very close to yours at 16dpo too and she's now 6wks.

Rai- Your levels look great to me... Increasing nicely Xx
Bunny- How are you going with the TWW?
AFM- After a loooong chat with one of the clinic nurses we have decided to go ahead with the plan of a FET this cycle. She said that my FS has put on my chart for clomid to start off and then add Progynova and Crinone as the cycle progresses. She said I will be having extra monitoring this cycle to keep an eye on my lining including a scan the day before a scheduled tx to ensure everything is fine before they thaw our snowflakes. She said the FS said that we will aim for a tx but if things are not looking perfect with my lining we will simply cancel and try again next cycle. So feeling more positive about things now... Please please please work!!
Juniper- Can you pop me in waiting for transfer.. Thanks
That sounds great Jasmine! FX for this cycle.
I've been really ill last few days with over stim so went for acupunture and it has really helped. Im feeling half normal today! I don't know if I'm being negative or realistic, but because the 2 embies we transferred weren't blasts and my lining was bit thick I'm not getting my hopes up too much. Im kinda feeling like just come AF already so I can do our FET! And im so afraid that the ones we have frozen won't grow to blasts either. What if we can never make blasts?! Ok rant over!
It is Monday!! i have to have trigger at 0330 sunday morning :/... not great timing I am meant to have orientation on monday for work in a new area... argh I will have to call tomorrow
Bunny- I can understand you not wanting to get your hopes up this cycle but your still in with a chance honey. When is your BT?
Glorious- Yay for EPU on Monday! Will be praying that you get lots of good eggies
Williever- Sorry the witch found you honey Xx
AFM- Got the call from the clinic this arvo to say that my BT came back negative (obviously) and that I have the green light to start Clomid in the morning. Actually felt rather good once I got off the phone. I can 'oficially' close the book on my drawn out failed cycle and start with a clean slate. I feel a bit better going into this cycle knowing the only issue we have to concentrate on is my lining. Does anyone know how much it increases the chance of success by tx 2 blasts rather than a single blast?
Oh Juniper do you think you can PM me the acupuncturist that you use? There are none locally that specialise in fertility but since I travel to Brissy to see my FS I thought I might try and do an accu appointment each time I'm in there seeing the FS... Thanks Xx
Jasmine and Williever i found this conclusion to a study that had randomly selected women to have one or 2 embryos transfered
randomly
"CONCLUSIONS
In women under 36 years of age, transferring one fresh embryo and then, if needed, one frozen-and-thawed embryo dramatically reduces the rate of multiple births while achieving a rate of live births that is not substantially lower than the rate that is achievable with a double-embryo transfer."
