Bestrong, I didn't think I needed a laparoscopy but I am glad they did as they found severe endometrosis and a very infected left tube which they removed, I had no symptoms at all. They believe that this procedure will now improve my chances conceiving via ivf. Recovery can vary between people, I had mine4 weeks ago and I am ok but still just taking it easy. I think as far as staring another cycle goes, it will depend on when your cycle gets back to normal, after my first lap, I missed a month altogether, after this second one, I am now one week late already. But I think it is all worth the wait if I have a better chance now to conceive. I don't mean to scare you as they may find nothing wrong at all but at least then you will know.
Bestrong- I'm being booked in for a lap and hysto too.
After 5 failed cycles with no explanation- I'm happy to have the procedures in the hope that they may find something that may explain embryos not implanting.
I also don't have any symptoms to indicate endometriosis, aside from embryos not implanting.
I am amazed my lining was 7.5mm so transfer is happening at 11am this morning! I was all ready for more disappointment & dressed for work.
Bestrong - I had lap & hyst before we started any treatment. I felt that I wanted everything to be checked out. If there was a reason to why we couldn't get pregnant I wanted it fixed. There was nothing found. I was sore for a week or so but fine after that. Pretty sure we could try naturally cycle after. We didn't start assisted for another 2 months after that.
Waiting for EPU/O/IUI/FET or just something to happen!

Bestrong, I had my first lap and hysteroscopy around O time and was able to start suppression for IVF in the following cycle (started synarel at 7dpo, so about 6 weeks after the lap, EPU was 2 months after the lap). The immediate recovery will depend on how much work is done - if they find nothing it should be quick (1-2 days), but if there is endo or a tube that needs to be removed it's more like 1-2 weeks. I had a lot of endo removed and needed 8 days to recover before I was fit to return to work (desk job).
Thanks all for your advice regarding how many embryos we should transfer this cycle. DP and I had a long talk about it last night and will discuss it further with our FS at our next appointment.
Beau- yay for a 7.5 lining... Got to be happy with that!! GL in the TWW... I have everything crossed for you.
Beestrong- Sorry can't answer your question about the lap. GL
S4K- I'm on clomid this cycle too... I hate the stuff!! Fingers crossed for good news at the end of your TWW.
Glorious- Wow that's very cool that you can view your embies online! Hope they are all still progressing nicely.
MissB- Boo to this cycle going slowly for you... Hope time flies by from now till mid August! It will be so exciting for you once you finally get to tx after having to wait do long!
AFM- took my last clomid tablets today (yay!). Off for my first lining scan on Friday. I havn't had any bleeding / spotting since AF so I'm feeling cautiously optermistic about this cycle
I hope it's ok that I join this thread, I have worked my way through the other 2 TTC groups and while we have only been trying for 8 months, after a long chat with my fs this morning we are starting our ivf journey on Monday next week with lots of tests and information gathering.
We have been living remotely for years and only recently moved to the coast for work and access to medical support. From what I gather there is no waiting list at the hunter ivf, where I will be going, so the process could start as early as week 2 in August.
I am currently cd10 of the last clomid cycle (thank goodness). Looking forward to sharing this journey with you.
Welcome Mrs O'M. The women here are so supportive & full of knowledge. Hope your stay here is short.
Well had one 5 day embryo transferred about half hour ago. Clinic was running very late. They had to defrost 2 as the first one didn't survive. I'm a bit upset about that as its never happened before & now we only have 2 left. Anyway Juniper can you please add me back onto the list as CD 20 0 days past 5 day embryo transfer.

Beau- Yay for being PUPO!! Bugger about the first embryo not thawing ok but fingers crossed this little snowflake sticks and your not going need the 2 remaining frosties Xx
Mrso'M- Welcome! Great bunch of ladies in here with loads of good advice when you have questions and lots of supportive words for the rough bits. GL with your last round of clomid. Are you just BD or doing an iui cycle?
Thanks Jasmine. Hopefully your are not too far away from being in tww with me. I drank a fair bit of raspberry leaf tea in last few days in hope for my lining to thicken. It had but of course I can't tell why.
I just brought it from t2. Drank 3 cups a day since Friday. I asked my acupuncturist to make sure it was ok to drink. She said only to drink it until day before transfer. She also recommended I drink ginger tea to try stay warm. I just added some ginger to my raspberry leaf tea. Your lining was fine last month though before your transfer so it may not help you hun. I was also taking herbs from my acupuncturist. I stopped taking them yesterday too & didn't mention anything to my fs clinic about it.
