Glorious, cramps alone are not a sign of the end. I get them either way - BFN or BFP. And I had more cramps with my IVF BFP than my natural ones... FX it's a false alarm and you'll be getting good news.

Yep my FN and my friend both said you can get AF cramps either way probably caused by extra progesterone. Hang in there

    I'm not taking progesterone.

Maybe I am just comparing it to my natural conceptions ( so very long ago!)

Lovely ladies I need your advice! Had my scan to see if I could start fet and my old problem is rearing its head, lining too thick to start. FS has given me option of either starting BCP for 16 days or wait for next natural cycle. Have any of you taken the BCP before an ivf cycle and any opinions? I guess I'm a bit paranoid taking it because my sister was just dx with breast cancer few months ago. Just wondering what anyone's experience of it was, thanks

Glorious- Hang in there honey.. As the others have said cramps alone is nothing to worry about (I know I know easier said than done), but it could be bub getting snug rather then the witch stalking.

Bunny- Sorry can't help with that question honey but I hope some of the other ladies can offer you some good advice.

MissB- Sending AF vibes your way so you can get your cycle started!

Beestrong- How are you going Hun? Is your lap this Tuesday?

AFM- Still plodding along with my Gonal F.. 2 more sleeps till my next scan, I'm busting to see if this latest protocol is doing anything!

Bunny for my antagonist cycles I always take bcp but that is more to be able to time the cycle to fit in with the lab for pgd testing

Jasmine, I really hope this way will work on you better, your acupuncturist is really helpful. As I know Abalone contained very high protein, making soup with chicken or pork, it tastes very good (my husband like it). You can buy from local fish shop (frozen one) or Asian shop.

N2L, I am putting my hands up too.

I cancelled my Hyst. and Lap., the anaesthetist called me on Thursday, he wants $900 prepaid now (I was told is around $300) and the hospital bed fee is $1305 (I was told $550 in a different hospital ) and assistant fee no one tell me how much exactly, it is likely to be around $5000 and I was budgeting about $3000 before as the information they gave to me, plus short notice and I have to take extra days off from work before my holiday, I was so stressed and I decided to cancel it yesterday, now I feel much relieved. I think I am having too much at moment, thinking changing doctor and clinic and getting all the tests (blood, urine, swab) done next Monday and I have to go back to this doctor the following Monday. I feel overloaded and I had a big cried yesterday, now I feel much better, I need to do all these step by step. Having my holiday first and think all the others later.

Bunnyfeet, I haven't used BCP with my IVF cycles, but it is very common to do a cycle of BCP before an IVF cycle.

Bestrong, if the surgery was causing you so much stress and anxiety, cancelling sounds like a good option for now. I hope you can work out a better time/way to do it.

Bunnyfeet, sorry I don't know what it is BCP and I had no idea.

Thank you Juniper, anyway could I ask how much do you pay for Hyst & Lap.?

Bestrong sounds like you made the right decision. Have a break and reassess things. (oh and BCP is birth control pill)

Thanks everyone else for your advice

Bestrong, DH paid those bills and never remembers the numbers when I ask him, but he thinks it was about $2k OOP after Medicare and PHI.

Ladies I need your help. I'm supposed to be taking the progynova tablets 3 times daily frim CD1. I've had brown spotting for a couple of days and today I felt 'wet' (sorry TMI), at around 12 o'clock today and had a very small amount of red/pinkish blood. Then nothing much, and then around 6.10 I had some more blood but not really full flow. Should I count today as CD1? Why does this always happen to me on a Saturday when I can't call anyone...

Miss B - my clinic says its day one if full bleeding (ie need pad/tampon) before lunch. I know other clinics are different though. For hrt get cycle I started progynova day 2 so I guess it's up to what you feel is right.

Miss.B, personally, I wouldn't call today CD1 if that happened to me, especially since you say it's still not full flow. This time around I had a light bleed on Tues night, then spotting all day Wed before AF finally started properly at 5:30pm Wed, so I called Thurs CD1. My current FS only calls it CD1 if you wake up with AF. Our previous FS had an 8am cut-off and the one before that had a 4pm cut-off, so they're all different.
