Beau, I don't think they measured my lining at the scan on Wednesday. I was bleeding at the time of scan and all the FS said was that they could see my lining was still 'coming away' and hopefully the bleeding would stop by the next day.. Which it obviously hasn't! I have tried googling to see if anyone else has experienced AF still going at CD9 of ivf but I can't find anything! This is doing my head in.. I am an emotional mess this cycle

Jasmine, I'm sorry to hear AF is still outstaying her welcome. I'd say at 5 days to go, you'd be taking a huge risk with a transfer this cycle. Personally, I wouldn't do it. I'd be frustrated by the delay, but I wouldn't want to risk wasting the embryos.

As for meds, I'm on gonal-f (225iu), prednisone, clexane, melatonin, DHEA, low dose aspirin and a heap of supplements. I'll also be on feldene and hcg boosters after the trigger.

    Hi ladies,

A quick update. The scan went well, I have 14 follies on the left and 8 on the right, but at the moment 8 to 10 'good' sized follies. I'm pretty happy with that, although who knows what they will collect next week and more importantly how many will fertilize and become good embies. So the trigger is on Monday I guess, and the EPU on Tuesday. I'm not surprised only one ovary is doing the job, it's happened to me in the past. It's funny though, because I wasn't feeling overly sore anywhere, can't believe they all grew with little discomfort. I have to have a shot today and tomorrow of the puregon, and that's it. So fingers crossed for a good pick up!

    b xx

I'm really just trying to stay calm about everything. Sometimes I 'feel' things, I'm feeling pretty positive about this cycle, and I think keeping it to myself at the start really helped. Also knowing that I have 7 frosties to move forward with is a good feeling. So it helps a lot.

BT is Wednesday so I guess I had better book it in....

Juniper, Sounds like the FS is covering all bases with your meds!! I am taking the low dose asprin too. Thanks for your adice about what to do this cycle.. Your right that the delay sucks but there is no point putting an emby back if my lining is not up to scratch.

MissB, Well done on lots of nice follies! What dose of Puregon are you on? Yay to the stim phase being almost over!

MyTurn, Glad to hear that you are feeling really positive about this cycle... having 7 frosties is so awesome!

    Hello to everyone else...

AFM, The effing witch is still hanging around!! The clinic called yesterday to change the time of my scan for Monday so I spoke to the nurse and told her I was worried that I'm still bleeding. The nurse told me not to worry too much about it as they will be growing the embies to blast so even after EPU they will have a bit of time up their sleeve to try and sort my lining before ET....Can the lining of your uterus thicken up after the trigger injection and EPU?? This makes no sense to me.. HELP

Miss B - what a great effort. Good luck for Tuesday hun.

Jasmine - that bloody witch! I have been put on progynova after all my trigger shots to try thicken up my lining. The only thing is my clinic never worries about checking the lining again before transfer. I had to ask for it my last cycle & that's when we realised the dose of progynova did nothing for me (5 days of progynova for no increase in my lining). I have done some reading & there is an 80% less chance the cycle will get a Bfp is lining is less than 8mm. That's why I cancelled my cycle when my lining was only 6.4mm. Just try & not stress & wait & see what clinic says next week. I personally won't do a transfer if my lining is not in high 7s.

Jasmine, if I may ask, has your AF been lighter than normal? I just ask because mine has been much lighter than normal this cycle and when I had my CD2 scan, it showed my lining hadn't fully shed, which is unusual for me. I'm wondering if I may find myself in the same position as you in a weeks' time (at my next scan)...

Well it seems like IVF fund has been given a huge boost with my mother offering to pay. We have not accepted yet BUT it is likely we will I just need to find out if she is happy to do it in our time (end July) or wait until she gets back from her holiday.
In my head space the last week I haven't been particularly good so either way I need to sort that a bit before I take other drugs.
I have started metformin as that may help with the PCOS that I am not convinced I have (but something similar) if it doesn't help with getting pregnant it will help me lose a few of the spare KGs I have

So sorry treenie and myturn. It's just a wicked wicked thing. Just seems so unfair. You're allowed to be upset and angry. Don't think you can't be.

Just so painful. Be kind to yourselves today xxx

So sorry treenie & myturn. Sending big hugs your way.
Myturn - hopefully it's a false alarm. If not you have 7 snow babies waiting. I find fets so much better than the stim cycle I did. Are your embies day 5 ones?
