You can upgrade to panadeine if you need to. I always stocked up on a couple of boxes of panadeine extra for my EPUs. Never used them all though. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Myturn - I remember being sore for ages. I got 19 eggs though. I took panadeine forte that the dr prescribed for me but I think only for a day or two. Hope u feeling a bit better today.

Yay my lining is 7.95mm so providing bt is ok I will start progesterone pesseries tonight then transfer next Monday. Just quick question how much do the pesseries cost approximately?

Beau - yay for a good lining!!
I'm not sure what the costs are, I get a container from my clinic so I guess they are included in the costs (probably end up paying more that way!)

Hi everyone, I had egg collection yesterday but I only got 4 eggs, I was so upset, because I always hear that people always do more than 10 eggs. I was on Gonal f 112 mg, because they didnt give me a highier dose because the doctor suspect I could have PCOS. Anyway from the 4 eggs, 3 fertilised and apparently I will have a transfer on friday in the afternoon. I would like to ask if there is still a risk of the embryos not making it to Friday? I am so nervous...

CatyO I am sure the others will be able to give more info, but I wanted to let you know that I've heard smaller numbers are often better, it's quality they're after and sometimes with the huge egg hauls you're still lucky to end up with a good number at the end. 3 of the 4 to fertilise is great, Ill be crossing my fingers that they all continue on their merry way of getting bigger! xx

Beau, sorry, can't remember the costs. The compounding pharmacist I buy my DHEA from says if you can find the progesterone for less then $2 per pessary it's a bargain.

CayO, sorry to hear you didn't get the response you wanted. Not everyone gets lots of eggs and sometimes a few eggs can mean better quality than oodles of eggs. As for your question, I won't sugar-coat it for you - yes, there's a risk they won't survive to Friday. We had 6 embryos the time we tried for a 5dt and none of them made it past day 4, but we have quality issues due to our specific IF issues. I've seen other women with only 2 or 3 embryos have all of them make it to blast stage, so quality is a huge factor in the success rate.
I'm curious why you're booked for a transfer on day 4 though? That's very unusual. It's usually day 2/3 or day 5/6.

CatyO they always seem to start you on a low dose. My first cycle I only had five - I too was disappointed. My clinic does two day transfers - I think that's because sometimes things don't grow and they think its better to put something in - as my FS said, the best place for them is inside you. But if you lead them longer you get the embie that's most likely to implant.

Remember you only need one they say

i am crossing everything something is good to go on Friday for you. Sorry to say but there is nothing you can do but wait and look after yourself between now and then - the more settled and relaxed and healthy you are the better for your gorgeous little embie xx
