Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception June/July 2013
Catyo just thought I would pop in to let you know mine did the same with our loss last year, first bit went down really quick when I had the bleed and lost it then the last couple of hundred seemed to take ages. Doctors told me it could take a while. Hope it goes down a bit quicker from here on in for you hughug xo
I keep thinking one egg is worthy to be collected or not, I still can use medication tonight and continuing the cycle. Does anyone can give me any idea?
Bestrong, the other option you haven't mentioned is to keep going with the FSH and try to get the two smaller ones to catch up. It may mean sacrificing the bigger one though. If you decided to trigger now, could you do IUI instead of IVF (sorry, can't remember if you have tube issues)?
Juniper thank you so much, I think IUI is a good idea and I never think of it, but my husband's sperm count is low, however he has frozen sperm, I think I am still going to do the injection today and I am going to talk to doctor tomorrow. I never been tested for my tube because my husband's sperm count is low and mobility is not up to standard, doctor recommanded to do IVF. My doctor said the important one is the big one and the two small one might not become mature egg
Bestrong, all the FSs have their own style. I know mine would up the dose and try to get the other two because that's what he did for my April IUI. You can safely take them out to 24-26mm and still get a decent egg. Have a chat with your FS and see what they say. If you can do IUI a lot cheaper (eg ours is about $300 OOP, compared to $3.4k for IVF), then it might be worth doing the IUI instead, even with the low sperm count, and spend the big bucks on a cycle that produces more eggs. But if you're with one of the places that costs $2k OOP for IUI (ie almost as much as IVF), then the IVF will always give you better odds than IUI. And an IUI has to be better odds than cancelling...
Juniper, last time I asked my FS about IUI he said the chance is lower than IVF and he did not recommanded with my husband's low sperm count and mobility. But for this cycle is going to be cancel and I rather try IUI, but I am not sure my FS will agree to change to do IUI for this cycle.
