She mentioned tablets, but they would have to stop before transfer anyway so I'm not doing them. I reckon it's dropped.
When medication is mentioned I tend to freak out!

The good thing about Metformin is it improves egg quality and can help weight loss.

    Just sayin' ....

I never stopped it for transfer.

I've been reading and I think she did say metformin, but why would she say to stop it for transfer? Also my fasting insulting level was 15 which I can see is a little high, but not pre-diabetes level. I hate it when I have loads of questions afterwards. I really had no idea about this stuff so I'm glad I mentioned it on here.
Taking it all on board though. Diet already was low GI so will make a few changes to that to prove it. And up exercise. I am so sick and tired of being overweight and now it's kicking my butt!

I also didn't mean to offend any of you ladies. I was just so scared of what the FS was saying. After having GD I have been working hard to prevent type II. Can't wait to feel a little less rubbish!

If you want to offend me, you're going to have to try a lot harder than that Willi

Juniper can you please make me CD2? Thanks so much.

Think ill be having a break from ivf while I get some more tests done, no doubt my 'break' will turn into some serious shagging and symptom watch during the TWW.....I've forgotten what it's like not to notice every twinge and stare at
The toilet paper after each time I go to the bathroom. Sad.

I have had such a long day today, work, FS at lunch time, work, fs after work to learn how to use Puregon and then a LOOOONNGGG drive out to Leongatha for my own business.
I can hardly believe I will be injecting as of tomorrow and the ball is rolling. I am not quite sure what will happen and i think FS wants to see how I respond to the puregon before we have a solid plan but it feels like we are getting some help instead of being in an un-ending queue. I think this will be a natural TI cycle with some Puregon help and I know that i am unlikely to have success but I am sort of hoping for the miracle BFP. Really in the back of my mind I am thinking of this as a trial run for an IVF cycle while the paperwork is going through and all the other appts are happening.

Now I really should get to bed, I should be so tired but I have not wound down quite yet LOL

Random question ladies, how likely is it that a pregnancy wouldn't be detected on a HPT?
The reason I ask is my mother told me that neither mine not my brothers pregnancies ever showed as positive on a test, even when heavily pregnancy she still couldn't get a positive test .......... My mother is a pathological liar
I had a conversation about babies with my sister in law a few years back and what my mother had said came up in that conversation, she too told me that all 3 of her pregnancies were the same - not positive test only blood tests....... She too turned out to be a pathalogical liar.
Sooooo just wondering if it could be true or not? I've had BFN all week but then again I don have any symptoms not do I "feel" pregnant so I'm guessing my first IVF hasn't worked but yeah, just wondering if I should go for a blood test on Friday instead of doing the FS issued POAS test (I don't live in the same town as my FS)

Anything is possible Cee but it is highly unlikely that today's HPTs wouldn't pick up a positive.

Ceejelz, it's possible (according to urban legend) but very rare. However, when "heavily pregnant" you are very likely to get a BFN on a HPT, so that part may well be true! It's common for hpt lines to get lighter once you get past about 7wks and the further along you are the more chance you'll get a false BFN. Google the "hook effect".

Krikkit, FX for you! (For the list, just to confirm, do you mean tomorrow? The structure of your sentence made the tense (ie past or future) ambiguous.)

Hi just a quick question has anyone had a bunch of pg tests they brought and i mean all of them so far give you false positives? I've been getting positives since i started testing with them this cycle and the other brand i have only negative until this morning when i was positive there was a visable pos but then had a shower and forgot to turn fan on and steamed up and when i got out it was neg then tested again and i'm sure there is a really faint pos but then bought first response and that was negative so i realise that i'm not pg but just a bit peeved with my tests being wrong. So anyway waiting for af which should show up next wednesday cause even though they are making me O early i'm still having 28 day cycles

Ceejelz - to be honest I think it would be reallllllly rare for that to happen the whole pregnancy, but it seems I am googling such things each month in hope of finding such stories as 'proof' that I am in fact pregnant and not as the tests declare (and invariably prove themselves to be right month after month...f8ckers..) - these stories are everywhere so it must happen to some people...bear in mind that for some people the support drugs you have during the tww can delay AF.

Rai I can't say I've experienced false positives, I thought they didn't exist?
Did you have pregnyl or similar? It could be that some tests are more sensitive than others?? Sorry not much help, but u must be going mad x

sometimes I feel that this process is designed to make you feel crap....injections, emotions, having to juggle appointments all aside, you take drugs that make you feel pregnant, can delay AF so you think you might be,
Often give positive HPT so you can't be sure if its real or the drugs, and when it sadly doesn't work not only do you feel you've wasted $, emotions and time but because of the support drugs you have you tend to get a heavier period with more ouchy cramps! Argh!!! But when we are all holding our bubs in our arms, I am sure well be appreciating it more than most xx

Just a quick one, this evening I did my first ever puregon injection. I was really apprehensive and expecting it to hurt. Thankfully my friend who is a nurse was visiting so she talked me through it.
Scan on Saturday to see how things are going...

    Hi girls,

ceejelz- I've heard stories of this and understand that it is possible but VERY rare and is due to a metabolic error/difference in which the hcg is metabolised diferently and s what you excrete in urine is not the same as what the preg test is picking up- but you would still test positive on a blood test- that's just what I've heard, not sure how true it is! I found this from some googling which was interesting To thank you, and what I've learned about false negative tests - Pregnancy 18-24 - MedHelp

Rai- If they're all one brand it could be evaps or faulty perhaps?? I could have sworn blind last cycle I was seeing lines but they were just shadows of lines and in retrospect I think it was leftover trigger. On the other hand it could just be really low and picking up a tiny bit?? I tend to only use FRER as I trust them. Hope you get a proper line soon!!!

Kbudgie- well done on first purefon injection!! Soon you'll be doing them without a second thought!

    Good luck Krikkit!
