congrats furbabies!!
Congratulations Furbabies - so happy for you!!!
Congrats furbabies! Fx for a happy healthy 9 months for you. Xx
Congratulations furbabies. That's wonderful!
Just had another scan & my lining has got thinner -it's now 5.7mm. Wtf? Nurse said that lining sometimes gets thinner then increases but I really don't like it. I am day 20. They took bloods and will discuss with dr this afternoon as to what to do. Most likely to increase my dose of progynova &/or add estrogen patches. Has anyone used these before? If so what are they like for side effects?
Beau, sorry to hear that! :hug: Why can't this be easier for us all!
Hi, everyone, I am new to this thread. I am starting my first IVF tomorrow with Gonal injections and then from sunday both injections Gonal and Cetrotide and will be going for my first scan next week on wednesday the 29th.
I have been trying to conceive for 2 years and nothing, had a laparoscopy 1 year ago and it showed that my fallopian tuibes are blocked, not completely, but still blocked and swollen?? I think... and probably but not sure PCOS. I have endometriosis as well, so hopefully ivf works, I am 37 years old and my husband 37 yo as well. :redface:

AFM.... I'm plodding along. Being doing acupuncture weekly for the past 4 weeks, and tonight I actually fell asleep while doing it ;) Acupunturist said that's a good thing, and AF has been a fairly constant flow the last 4 days, rather than heavy the first day and petering off the rest of the time.... Hopefully this is all going to be worth it... yucky herbs twice daily and i feel like a million pills being popped each day (okay it's only 6... but still).... now if I can just get my act together and lose a bit of weight.....
Thank you ladies :)
I am doing acupuncture weekly as well for the last 6 weeks, apparently that can improve my chances of getting pregnant.
This must be a silly question but I dont understand what fx means and DH, FS.
I cant wait for tomorrow to start with the injections, I am excited but at the same time I am so nervous :redface:
FX = fingers crossed
DH = dear/darling husband
FS = Fertility Specialist
there is a list in one of the threads somewhere - I had it saved (ie subscribed to it) when I first joined to help me make it easier to click back into it.
It is nerve wracking - but exciting and scary all at the same time - good luck!
Thank you my turn, I hope it works for you as well!
Welcome CatyO! Hope your time here is short & sweet. Good luck with your cycle xx
Myturn...used to love going to the acu...best snooze ever! Enjoy & hope it brings you some joy xx
Welcome CatyO!! I hope the first ivf is a winner.
Yay!! Furbabies! All the best for a H&H 9 months!! xx
AFM, I'm just plodding along, going for blood test on Thurs to see when I O to do the transfer. Feeling alot better since starting the steroids (prednisolone) which is a nice surprise as I was expecting to feel rubbish. Same as Angie was talking about a few dad ago, weird!!
Thank you JoeSpratt & Hummingbird.
Welcome CatyO. Good luck for your first cycle. Hope you get a BFP 1st time round.
Well no answers for me. I am to double my dose of progynova slowly & also take estrogen patches starting tonight. Just have to sit tight for another week now & pray my lining improves by next scan. The fs told me usually after a d&c the lining improves - well mine definately hasn't.
CatyO, just thought I'd give you the link for the abbreviations in case you hadn't found it...

Congrats Furbabies! Nice to hear some good news.
So I had my follow up scan and my lining is still too thick so FS has canceled my cycle :wall:
I have to go on the pill for 2 wks and see him again to see where we're at. So disappointed :( and it's so difficult as my husband is FIFO so makes everything that bit harder to organize. Ok rant over :doh:
Sorry to hear that Bunnyfeet :hug:
Welcome catyO
So sorry Bunnyfeet. You have been so patient. So frustrating for you.
Afm- scan and BT on Friday. Job interview tomorrow. Sewing for a market. BUT feeling quite relaxed. How long will that last? ;-)
Thanks Faye and williever good luck in your interview and scans/BT
Welcome CatyO :)
Another BFN for me :( when u called my nurse she said "I really honestly thought you would be calling me with good news.... Are you sure there is not faint second line? Did you want to come in for a blood test to make sure?" I said no need, I've a analyzed the test in all sorts of light.... There is only one line.
She wants to try me on a different drug protocol next cycle to see if that makes a difference.... Hubby has already been to collect the new drugs, he is such a good boy xxx
I might ask my FS about assisted hatching for the next FET, anyone have any experience/ success with it?
Sorry Ceejelz x
No experience with hatching. Sorry.
Sneaking in...
Ceejelz - I had assisted hatching done on day 3 embryo. And now pg :) I really believed it helped. I had 2 put back in one with and one without. I guess I will never know which one stuck but when they showed me the embies on the screen one was already, obviously, hatching :) It was the first cycle I tried with assisted hatching. I had 6 transfers before that. They say its good for women with PCOS and older women as the shell gets thicker with age and with the PCOS and cant break out of the shell, and therefore cant implant. Good luck hunny :hug:
Sneaks out...
Thanks Vic, ill definitely be discussing it with hubby and FS for next transfer then :) we tries embryo glue this cycle but I guess next step is hatching.
What day was your embies frozen on?
Ceejelz I too am a big fan of Assisted Hatching. It was the only time I ever had hatching blasts to transfer and the first time I got a BFP (with the twins). I did it second time around for this bub and had a much higher success rate. I wouldn't say it was the only reason but I wouldn't do a cycle again without it.
Wishing you all the luck xx
faye* Thanks for the link :)
Thanks for the good wishes ladies.
Ceejelz, bunnyfeet, so sorry, I wish getting pregnant was easy for all of us...
I never heard of assisted hatched, I will have to ask my fs as I am 37 yo and apparently have PCOS
Williever good luck!

Thanks ladies. Sorry, I didn't mean to worry anyone. Dealing with some behavioural issues with DD and just generally feeling pulled in every direction by everyone else (work, family, etc), so finding it hard to cope because I'm stressed out and sleep deprived. It will pass eventually and I'll be fine, but right now it just sucks. I've asked work for some time off, but my manager wants me to finish my current projects first. TTC is kind of on the back-burner right now, but no doubt that will change when I'm closer to O...
The only reason I mentioned it before was to explain why I was coming here, reading the posts and updating the list but not responding to everyone's posts/news.
