Krikkit - on my OI I did 50 then 75 units (Gonal F though but still FSH). This time (1st IVF) I started on 100 u of Puregon then it went to 200 half way through. They will want to start cautiously to avoid OHSS - it can be annoying though. In my OI I injected for 3 weeks and didn't respond so it was cancelled. But, slow and steady (hopefully) wins the race. Well done on getting through your first injections, or as I like to call them, stabs/jabs!! It took me ages the first time too. Now I'm definitely used to it. I do mine in the morning, and a couple of times the clinic got me to wait until the results of the BT before doing the jab, so that meant I had in mid-afternoon, but they didn't seem concern by me not taking it at exactly the same time each day.

B2B - congrats on getting 5 frosties! How exciting! My clinic only put back more than one if you are "over 40 and have 3 failed cycles" due to the risks associated with multiple births. For me they'll never do it as I have a blood clotting disorder.

Smithy - congrats on your little FET miracle!!!

Miss K - I hear you on the OMG I got AF front! Such an odd thing after so long! Glad things are moving forward.

AFM - 4 sleeps til BT! But I'm gonna POAS tomorrow - sorta freaked out by that and telling myself not to get too hopeful....

    Thumbs up

Wow, so many more people now... Hope you are all doing great!
I will try to keep on with everyone's cycles...

Mitf, I had a lap last Dec. and I had a cyst removed from my left ovary. AF arrived 5 days after surgery, just in time (30 days cycle). FS suggested for me to wait one month until I could start an IVF cycle. In my case I waited a little longer because we had holidays booked.

Baby 2bee, My case was exactly the same as yours... I had 23 eggs collected and couldn't do a fresh transfer... so I waited AF very excited... now I'm on estrogen pills and synarel. On the 18th June I will have a scan to check if uterus lining is thick enough. If so, they will thaw 4 embies on that same day, after that we will wait until blastocyst stage and transfer 1 embryo. I'm not sure what they will do with the remaining embies...but cientist said in some cases they can re-freeze.

For all of you waiting, I wish you GL. Time flies...and you will be starting your cycle very soon!!

TWW girls, all the best! Hope all goes well and you get positive results!!!

I will be away but come back in time to let you know about my FET.

    Take care!

    Hi Girls,

I haven't been on for awhile as my computer had come down with a virus...all fixed now and back to my threads..i was starting to get withdrawal symptoms......not having access to read whats happening with you guys is worse than the 2ww!

Mitf - how are u going? R u still IVF in July? Looks like Loops12 might be joining us too...yepee!!!!

AFM - I have to wait till AF shows up around 2nd July to start my first cycle. My FS has put me on the Antagonist Cycle and we are doing ICSI with 2 embies transferred. Lets hope we get at least two beauties
Just wondering if anyone else has had any success with my protocol? I would love to hear from anyone who can lift my spirits......i am excited about IVF #1 but at the same time i am worried about not getting enough follicles and good eggs because of my age.

    Good luck to you all!!

    Hi all
Esperan - have fun on your holidays!

Emerald Star - yep July for me too - looks like there will be a few of us - yay
Lets hope we all have success.
Looks like the two of us have shared the same journey so far - 2 IUI's 2009 and 1st IVF in July - lets hope it continues with BFP's and pg's together!
I know what you mean - Im a bit worried about all that too even being younger its still all a worry. Plenty of women your age get pg though so stay pos. We'll get there!!

    Hi girls,

I have my BT tomorrow but I'm 100% sure it will be -ve.

POAS - Fri and Sat = +ve, today (twice) = -ve. No AF but I don't get it normally anyway so that's no indication.

The +ve's really got my hopes up and now I just feel completely devastated. Sometimes life just seems so unfair - why can some people get pg without even trying when they don't even want a baby, and those of us that do really struggle?

We have one blastie in the freezer - not sure how soon I'll be able to do a FET. I'd like to asap.

Our clinic sent a letter last week about the changes to the safety net that basically advises that from 1 Jan 2010 the OOP costs per cycle will go up by $1500-2000.

That means each full cycle will be OOP $3300-3800. Such great timing for that kind of information. Also means they will be super busy for the next 7 months while people try to cram in as many cycles as they can.
