B2l I soooo hope this is your last one and this huge protocol pays off xo

Well soreness has kicked in early, 2 days into injections and my abdomen has pains in it. I am assuming this is from the 3 weeks of other meds that I don't normally have. I think this is going to be a long exhausting 2 weeks, I have been so tired to...fell asleep again yesterday at 5 pm on the couch cause I couldn't actually keep my eyes open. DH said I am always tired on the cycles but I have only noticed it this one.

I've been knackered too Kerbear. I think the double dose of synarel really knocked me around.

After the first lot of jabs last night (couple of hours later) and my ovaries felt sore. It must get into your system quickly.

Feeling a little fragile today. My stomach is really acid.

Wow what a ful on day we had yesterday. Heaps of information and talking and stuff. All good and looking forward to when we can actually start our first cycle.
My FS wants to see us again at end of January. He wants me to drop some more weight before we begin..... its so hard, but i know its all worth it in the long run. He said its best to start when im at my best! give it every chance...
so i know it only a couple more months but and we were not planning on starting until Jan anyway but it seems forever awayand its a little dissapointing i guess.
So i explained that i had just done or am doing a really long cycle, Af dissapeared after 1 show :rolleyes:....... his first reaction was , YOUR not pregnant are you?
i laughed at the thought.( if only) But ive done a HPT and negative, no symptoms what so ever. So he made me have a blood test to make sure!
So i guess its all quiet for me from now until end of January! Just try to get into better shape and focus on Christmas and then a whole new year, New beginings!

Just had a call from FS and they said next cycle they will be doing an antagonist cycle...can anyone shed any light on what that involves as I have only done a down reg cycle??? All she said was it's alot shorter - YAY!

N2l - hope your tummy is ok and not to sore, seems the meds hit quicker the more you do it, I am the same as you, a few hrs after and I can feel it argh.

Faye - I do antagonist. Day 2 after AF I start my injects of gonalf ( have had puregon before as well). Then scan at around day 6 to check size. Stay on gonalf until the size is what they want, i usyally have about 4 scan. then start cetratide when they say to. Then trigger and EPU. All of this happens by about cd 16 for me.
Hope I wrote this all right for you to understand.

Thanks kerbear, yes that makes sense.... sounds very similar just without all the lengthy "down reg" part.

AFM I'm feeling very upset today about the chem. pregnancy and had a good cry during work. 2 of my colleagues suggested that I should take time off and my DF agrees, so I'm going to visit the GP on Monday to get a medical certificate. Argh LT-TTC sucks, I wish there was some light at the end of the tunnel. On the brighter side, I might be able to do a FET over Xmas, as my clinic seems to be open for FET people! Although my acupuncturist is closing over xmas and I'm not sure if I'd want to do an FET without the acupuncture. I'll have a chat with her on Wednesday.

Thanks everyone. Had acupuncture this afternoon & feeling quiet relaxed now. Did all the housework this morning so now I can relax over the weekend.

N2L hope you get to rest over the weekend.

Me4ever - that's good news about fs being open for fet over Xmas. Hopefully your acupuncturist will be able to sort something out for you. How's the wedding preparation coming along? Take the time off - I had to take some time off after my last cycle as was a mess at work. It made a world of difference to me.

me4ever, it took me months to work through the emotions from our chem pg. And the mm/c took even longer (heck, something came up yesterday that had me upset about it all over again even though it has been almost 11 months). It takes time, a lot of time. Be kind to yourself and don't feel pressured to "get over it" in a hurry. :hug:

Thanks miloro, beau and juniper. Juniper hugs for you as well. It sucks doesn't it, especially because there is this unknown why it went wrong, was it something we did? I thought because it was "just" a chem. pregnancy that it shouldn't hurt as much emotionally as I had less time to bond with little one, but maybe it's just bringing up anger and emotions I've pushed away after the mm/c?! I did go to work today, just to make sure I can be missed next week and finished off some jobs, so now I can hopefully heal better.
@beau - wedding preps are going really well, thanks for asking! Can't wait now, wish it was the 7th yet :) At least something to properly distract me.
Hi to everyone else!

It was definitely NOT something you did. It was NOT your fault. It hurts because you wanted it so much, you worked so hard to get it and you loved that baby long before it ever existed.

Me4 ever- I had a chemical pregnancy in January and took it really hard. It was devastating and felt like I had lost a baby. I felt guilty for feeling that way and like it wasn;t justified. I mean I was only pregnant for about 5 days, but emotionally it was REALLY hard. When I had my 12 week miscarriage, physically yes it was a lot different, and everyone knew I was pregnant so that was different, but emotionally it felt the same- a loss like the first. It almost helped me deal with the first one because I stopped feeling gulty about how I looked at it. Maybe a chemical pregnancy is not a big deal to someone who hasn;t been trying and just sees it as a late period, but when you've been trying for months and months and put yourself through all the crap that we do and have HOPED and HOPED for it- it's a loss like any other. Juniper put it beautifully- you loved that baby before it even existed. be kind to yourself, and grieve like you should. hugs xxxx

Hi all. I have a quick question. If you have a freeze all stim cycle, is the subsequent FET free?

Sadly, not that I am aware of Miloro.

At least, mine wasn't.

I think it's safe to assume nothing is free in the land of IVF :(

Miloro - did you get any money back from stim cycle? My clinic has told me if something is cancelled you get a part refund. Just paid for my fet another $2600. Think we get about half back from Medicare (being over the safety net gap). Good luck

Beau, I only get a part refund if it is cancelled before EPU. There is no refund if transfer is cancelled.

Afm, I think my body is packing it in. My temps are super low. Might have to ask my GP to re-test my thyroid early (due in Feb)? Pre-O dropped below 36 and the last 2 days I've gotten to a "high" of 36.40 (which I would normally consider a high pre-O temp, not a post-O temp). I'm just scared it's a sign that my ovaries are reaching the end of the road. :cry: Or maybe I'm just being overly sensitive because I slept terribly last night, my ankle hurts and I feel sick?

Just jumping in to suggest to Juniper that you research adrenal fatigue. It can affect thyroid and basal temps. I've been doing lots of reading about it recently.

AFM- I AM FINALLY OVULATING!!!! Lol!!! Over the weekend I took one OPK test every morning with FMU and today it was finally positive!!! So exciting, considering I don't normally ovulate naturally!!! I rang my clinic and the nurse has said because I got the positive this am- I will ovulate either tonight or tomorrow... DH and I have dtd every day since Friday seeing as we weren't sure and we are praying like mad we catch at least 1 of our 2 little eggies!!!

thankyou for all your well wishes (and for updating me on the list juniper), means a lot. had my second bt today and hcg is now 833, so things are looking good so far but still a long way to go. scan will be around 10 dec, so i will still probably floating around until then... just wanted to say that i have really appreciated being in this thread this year and have found it so informative and useful to be able to share with everyone in here. it has been a really rough few years doing ivf and being in here has definately help me manage that. goodluck to everyone stimming, transferring, coasting etc - i really do hope that each and every one of you get what you wish for. xx

Crazy question, has anyone noticed a big difference if you stop all caffeine?
